Krabi SeaBass Hotel

Never encountered this level of bad service in Thailand. A bit of background: we booked two rooms through Agoda (2 different bookings) with the same credit card. For one booking we didn't receive an acknowledgement email, so we contacted the hotel who asked us to send us the screenshot of the booking page through Line, which we did. The hotel answered that they received our booking and confirmed we didn't need to do anything else (that they received our booking).

When we wanted to check-in, they informed us that Agoda contacted them 2h prior via email to cancel our booking for one room. Neither Agoda nor the hotel informed us. We asked to rebook but the hotel was fully booked (they had just given the last room). We then asked to cancel our second booking but they refused, arguing that "there was nothing they could do".

What was unacceptable:
- We remained polite all along, never raised our voice, on the other hand the owner/manager was pacing around furiously, ́mumbling in Thai that we "refused to give up" and that we were "making a scene". She had to retreat in her office to calm down during the discussion.
- They refused to take any responsibility- it may not have been 100% their fault, but it was not our fault at all and our request to cancel and refund the second room was reasonable. And since we talked to the owner/manager, they could have easily granted it.
- They said we booked at our own risks when choosing to book through Agoda because the price may have been cheaper. They would only take responsibility for direct booking.
