Krabi SeaBass Hotel

Never encountered this level of bad service in Thailand. A bit of background: we booked two rooms through Agoda (2 different bookings) with the same credit card. For one booking we didn't receive an acknowledgement email, so we contacted the hotel who asked us to send us the screenshot of the booking page through Line, which we did. The hotel answered that they received our booking and confirmed we didn't need to do anything else (that they received our booking).

When we wanted to check-in, they informed us that Agoda contacted them 2h prior via email to cancel our booking for one room. Neither Agoda nor the hotel informed us. We asked to rebook but the hotel was fully booked (they had just given the last room). We then asked to cancel our second booking but they refused, arguing that "there was nothing they could do".

What was unacceptable:
- We remained polite all along, never raised our voice, on the other hand the owner/manager was pacing around furiously, ́mumbling in Thai that we "refused to give up" and that we were "making a scene". She had to retreat in her office to calm down during the discussion.
- They refused to take any responsibility- it may not have been 100% their fault, but it was not our fault at all and our request to cancel and refund the second room was reasonable. And since we talked to the owner/manager, they could have easily granted it.
- They said we booked at our own risks when choosing to book through Agoda because the price may have been cheaper. They would only take responsibility for direct booking.

Unfortunately the worst accommodation we had on our trip to Thailand.

2 star hotel and definitely not a 4 star.

The pool is very small and seems much bigger in the pictures.

No service. No minibar in the fridge, there are only 2 bottles of water. No service at the pool, it is not looked after for the guests.
The breakfast buffet is cleaned up at 10:00 a.m.
Service can hardly speak English. The rooms: Bathroom dirty and also a bad bathroom, dark walls and a shower head which cannot be adjusted in height.

Location: Night Market 4min walk was awesome, otherwise I would have better accommodation in Au Nang.

OK for 2 nights, unfortunately we stayed 4 nights. Wouldn't recommend it.

We really were impressed by the quality and comfort of the hotel. Especially appreciated the sofa by the window however we were advised we are not allowed to smoke on the balcony. I understand no smoking in the room, but to not allow for the balcony is a little ridiculous. We had booked 1 night here as a transfer point when arriving in Krabi and intended to stay 8 nights in a few more weeks, we are now looking for alternatives. Everything else is great, but I don’t want to come down from the 5th floor to smoke every time I choose. Everything was otherwise good, just not for me
