Lamai Inn 99 Bungalows

Wonderful stay at Lamai In. I recommend this place 100%. I stayed in the sea front bungalow which had its own sun loungers and a terrace with chairs and table a few steps from the sea. It is situated on a really nice and really clean beach, great for swimming or walking. It was a very spacious bungalow, spotless, regularly cleaned up, plenty of fresh towels, supply of daily bottles of water. Huge window overlooking the beach, you feel like on the beach even when inside the room :) Make sure you book the "sea view bungalow" as the other rooms and bungalows are across the road and there are no sun beds on the beach, only the bar/restaurant seating areas. The resort is in the centre of Lamai with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and markets a short walking distance from the hotel. Great value for money.

The beach is just so amazing and beautiful, the restaurant over-looks the beach and has many lounges and bean bags to relax in.

Food and drink was nice and well presented, staff were attentive and helpful.

The gardens are lovely with water features throughout, the pool is really nice although it is set back in the property away from the beach.

We stayed in a family triple room located close to reception, it was clean and comfortable and housekeeping did a great job refreshing it when we requested it. My only one complaint was the water in the shower was not always hot, but I just showered during the day after going out so it was refreshing.

Great location with a short walk to nearby beach-side restaurants and the main street.

Honestly whats not to love, people are so silly with petty complaining reviews, for the price this place was great!

Lovely hotel! Rooms are clean and comfortable, just wish the aircon worked a bit better. Staff were lovely. Location was great, right by a beautiful quiet spot on the beach and close to shops, restaurants and bars!

Very decent place, perfectly located at the beach. Not up-market / prestigious but nice place, ideal for sea, sunbath and beach lovers. Friendly and supportive staff - there was no problem with later checkout. Room cleaned every day. Try beach bungalows, very good value for money, sunrise seaview from your bed is priceless 🙂. Reasonably quiet location yet only 5min walking distance to main street in Lamai.

This is a reasonably priced hotel with some rooms right on the beach. It has decent facilities including a pool, a massage place, manicures and pedicures and a restaurant/bar adjacent to the hotel. It isn't perfect but it's a 3 star hotel and things like woodwork and paint work age very quickly in the heat and humidity.

Just remember you aren't in Europe so things are different. For example, the beachfront bungalows are raised about a metre above ground level but the area outside the room has gaps in safety barriers - children, people with balance issues or just plain people drunk can easily fall onto concrete.

We stayed 9 nights in the hotel and enjoyed every one of them. We had a beach front bungalow which was in decent although not perfect condition. It didn't bother us at all because it was clean, comfortable and safe in the room but if you want perfection on a budget look elsewhere.

Everything worked fine including the Aircon which had a very useful quiet setting for overnight cooling. The cleaning staff were lovely and very efficient. The reception staff were equally nice and helpful arranging trips and transfers for us. We used the pool area frequently and it also was in good enough condition, although the cushions on the loungers weren't the best I've ever seen (putting a towel over them solved that problem anyway). We had few problems communicating with the staff in English but we were polite and patient which always helps. And there's always Google Maps/Translate if needed.

Been here 2 days loving so far nice and peaceful quite a busy little place lf u want that in bar areas.

Stayed here with my Family, very friendly staff, great little restaurants beach front as well! We had a pool view second floor, room was very spacious, clean and fairly updated. Wedid get the double room as we like to have a separate room for the kids. Love the beach in front of Lamai 99 as well. One of the only places on Lamai beach that has palm trees on the edge so you can chill in the shade and enjoy the ocean and sun when you want. Restaurant staff is very friendly and speak good enough English to get you what you need. Food was really good as well. We tried all three restaurants in front and enjoyed them all. Prices are reasonable as well. The only drawback is that it can get pretty loud at night due to the bars about 300 metres behind. We were right at the back so I am sure that if you get a bungalow closer to the ocean it would be fine. Will stay again!
