Railay Viewpoint Resort

Awful experience.
We stayed here for 2 nights.
When we came to the reception we encountered 1 lady (maybe not) with squeaky annoying voice. When she advised us to check the room for 75$ a day. It was real disappointment.
Then I politely asked for another room. And she said it was the only one. And out of nothing got arrogant and started to mock us. Lady, we didn’t mock you because of your poor English and awful voice and some people could.
I understand she doesn’t have a degree in hospitality but what about simple human qualities?
Room was so dark, not-well prepared for us:
it was dirty, dust was everywhere, shower even didn’t have a soap, there were lots of hair, poop of bugs!
And then other big grumpy lady in the checkout didn’t event greeted us.

We arrived thinking it would be like the pictures but to our surprise it was not quite as similar. The room was dirty (especially the bathroom), with many mosquitoes and other insects. The pool is okay but the smell of sewage is present throughout the resort. We cut our stay short and decided to book a different hotel for only a bit more money and it made all the difference. Honestly, Railay is a beautiful place and it is a shame to stay in a place that is uncomfortable and dirty when for a bit more money you can stay in a 4 star resort and truly enjoy your time there.

Do not recommend staying at this resort. The room had cockroaches, bugs, and mosquitoes, which made for an uncomfortable and unhygienic stay. The room itself was poorly maintained, with noticeable cracks in the door and windows, allowing insects easy access. The WiFi was nonexistent in the rooms and only sporadically available near the restaurant. Even after being moved to a different room closer to reception, the WiFi remained unreliable, while the insect problem persisted. To add to the frustration, the staff at the reception were incredibly rude. Overall, the resort's cleanliness, customer service, and amenities, fell far below acceptable standards. Look elsewhere for a pleasant and bug-free stay.

Positive: Nice hotel staff, OK location (easy 10 minutes walk to the beach where you can swim and relax), pool area + pool OK as well.

Negative: Cockroaches everywhere in the room (bathroom and on the floor and walls in the bedroom). Old, smelly and a rather dirty room (we stayed in a bungalow so I don't know if it differs from room to room). We were supposed to stay one night more but had to checkout a day before and look for a new hotel.
