Decent hotel with beautiful beach but needs more attention to details to become the 5-stars resort it is pretending to be.

We mentioned on our booking we were vegan yet every… single… meal… was a battle having to explain that we don’t eat animal products. A 5-stars hotel with about 10 occupied rooms should know the bare minimum about their guests in order to make them feel like they are in good hands. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case.

Another star was deducted for the quality of the rooms. Perhaps we were unlucky but our villa needed some renovations and, because BOTH the shower and bath are outside, you end up having no choice but showering with leaves, mosquitoes and spiders which is sub-optimal to say the least. They said the shower can be covered to avoid contact with insects which we requested but they never covered the shower for us. Additionally, the private pool in our villa was stagnant and lacking chlorine which made it a mosquito heaven.

Now to finish on positive notes, the beach was beautiful and well maintained. The beach amenities (kayak, paddle board) are free and available all day. The staff, whilst clueless about dietary restrictions, was lovely and helpful.

The beach of this hotel is fabulous with crystal clear waters. The hotel was being renovated when we arrived, so there were lots of work people and noise - we were only told of this after we had booked our room - it was advised in the confirmation email - no information beforehand. There was a lot of noise and typically they were working on the beach whilst we were there which is the best part of this hotel. The rooms were looking quite worn so I can understand the need for renovating. Only one member of staff on the island spoke good enough English for us to explain that we were vegan. Others thought we were saying we only ate meat. Quite often we would finally manage to explain our needs to a member of staff and then the next day they seemed to be back to thinking we only ate meat which was very frustrating. We did mention on our booking but nothing was done about this. We ordered drinks on the beach a few times and the staff were clearly annoyed as the cocktail bars near the beach were closed during the renovations and they were having to walk to the other side of the resort to collect our orders. Just all round not a very luxurious, customer service focused experience. There was one member of staff who was extremely attentive and we give an extra star for him. We only stayed for a couple of days so we are glad we didn’t stay for longer.

Title: Beautiful Location but Lacking in Comfort

Overview:
Our recent stay at Paradee Koh Samet was a mixed bag of experiences. While the location, right on the beach and surrounded by privacy, offered a serene setting, several aspects left much to be desired.

Pros:
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the stunning location. Situated right on the beach, the hotel offers breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility that is hard to match. For those seeking a private getaway, this is an ideal spot.

Cons:
Unfortunately, the overall vibe of the hotel fell short of expectations. Despite its 5-star rating, we found the atmosphere lacking warmth and character. One significant disappointment was the dining options. With only one restaurant available, the food failed to excite. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected a more diverse and gourmet culinary experience.

Accommodation:
We opted for the front beach villa, which boasted beautiful surroundings and comfortable amenities. However, our experience was marred by the quality of the mattress. Despite the luxurious setting, the bed was equipped with a mattress that was far from adequate. Both my husband and I experienced discomfort and woke up with back pain, resulting in a restless night's sleep. This was unexpected and greatly impacted our overall enjoyment of the stay.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, while hotel offers a picturesque location and decent accommodation, there are significant areas for improvement, particularly in terms of comfort and dining options. For guests seeking a serene beachfront retreat, the hotel may still hold appeal, but be prepared for some shortcomings in the overall experience.

Thank you team parade for a beautiful experience, ultimate hospitality, delicious food~ Thai & Italian, you nailed it on our request for vegetarian on breakfast & dinner. The final goodbyes at the pier by the team was truly very heart warming 🙌💞

Would be nicer if you have more activities on regular days ~ ice bath, swing at the beach, yoga

I like it here, it's quiet, the service is excellent. Delicious food in the hotel, delicious coffee, if you want to relax, I recommend.

Luxury resort on a private beach almost at the end of Koh Samet. Divided into two parts: east and west The east side is part of the room. On the west side is a restaurant and a private pier. This gives you the opportunity to watch the sunrise and sunset from both sides of the hotel. Service is very good All staff will meet them when customers arrive and drop them off when they return. Management staff always pay attention to customers. The room is very good, commensurate with high privacy. Good tasting food But food that should be spicy can be too bland for Thai customers. During the break, it is necessary to follow the new normalization of the public sector, causing the need to enter and exit at the central port at one point. In addition, it is quite a long way to get from the central pier to the resort by car. From the tree to the end of the island about 25 minutes. A car used as an open-air minibus makes it less convenient. Tired of traveling more But I want to visit again when the private pier allows it to open again. In conclusion, this resort is suitable for those who are looking for a private beach, beautiful beach, clear water, fine sand, very attentive service. Spend time in person with your loved ones. But this place may not be suitable for families with small children. Since there is no kids club, there are no slides. There is no other play equipment by the pool. But for older children, additional water equipment will be available for further activities.

One of the best if not the best hotel on Samet. Gorgeous grounds and beach. Service and staff extremely attentive. Pool Villas are laid out nicely and very comfortable and spacious

You rarely get an island hotel with both sunset and sunrise views and this one has them. Perfect luxurious weekend getaway from Bangkok.

Food offered here is also very good. Definitely would recommend staying here.

It's gorgeous, paradise like but :
- The beach is infested with sand flea and the bites are horribly itching and uncomfortable even if you used the repellent the resort provides (I usually don't mind mosquitos bites but it's been 5 days and still itching crazy).
- It's overpriced, I expected better quality and service for this kind of money. I had to bring my own towel on the beach sun-beds many times as no staff was looking after this area.
- The staff stare at you while eating, they probably mean well and just want to make sure you have everything you need but it's super creepy.
- Coffee tastes bad.
- Speed boat private service is awesome
- Food is average
- Room cleaning & room service is very fast
- It's little too far from the rest of the island.
We will go to Le Vimarn next time, the bay is gorgeous, 3 times cheaper, same or higher standards than Paradee, better location and we didn't experience sand flea there.
Hope it helps

Food is great here.sand is very white.
Problem is: I have to wait a long time before the boat arrives at the pier
