Reviews
The All inclusive services is desastre.
The hotel is old and there is nothing to do in it.
The beach is so bad...no sand...directly in the sea and the level of sea is very low....
Nothing is right there...nothing at all.
Place to avoid absolutely
Lots of Polish, French, and Algerians guests (and many Muslim's male couples).
There are lots of scammers everywhere, especially taxi drivers next to the hotel. You can take a bus for 1 dinnar to another town. And trips from hotel are too expensive. You can go to another town and buy own tickets much cheaper. Eg pirates ship for 40 dinnars.
The weather was great. I burned my skin. We enjoyed our holidays. However, it is hard to live without drinkable tap water. You can't even use tap water to brush teeth.
And we got stomach bug last days of holiday. Now finally at home, but we are still suffering from stomach pain and diarrhoea. The flight home was a nightmare to the UK. Sickness and stomach pain.
Good to see another culture, but we prefer Europe.
The rooms are comfortable, and I didn't experience any noise issues. We were initially checked into a twin room overlooking the rear of the hotel, but after the staff asked for feedback we were moved to a double room overlooking the pool. I would say that the sea view rooms are a much better experience - time spent on the balcony watching what was going on was a big part of the hotel experience for me.
The food in the restaurants was great - I'm a picky eater but I always looked forward to it. Snack bar was Pizza Popcorn and Crepes, Would have really liked to have seen French fries there.
This hotel was at least as good as I expected, and often much better.
I feel really sad for the resort though, Skanes beach has really suffered, mainly from coastal erosion. I can see the hotel is going to have some real issues over the next few years defending their shrinking beach.
It used to be a main selling point of Skanes that you could walk the beach for miles, but not anymore I fear. I would have really liked to have gone on some walks, but the thin beach that remained was not at all easy to navigate.
The resort area on the other side wasn't somewhere I wanted to explore either, there was a gift shop outside and across the road from the hotel, and I could see a bit of the golf course, but the place just felt derelict. I might well have missed out, but I don't think so. I certainly didn't want to go exploring.
animation is good
but others no
