Ramona Hotel

We booked this hotel in advance through Agoda and were really looking forward to the trip, as we were traveling with our entire family, including a small infant. Unfortunately, the reality turned out to be completely different from the photos and description on the website. When we arrived, our first impression of the room was extremely unpleasant. Cleaning was practically non-existent, the furniture was old and very worn, the bedding looked stale, and the room smelled unpleasant. The bathroom also left much to be desired—the plumbing was outdated, and there were traces of mold and damp on the walls. Staying in such conditions with children, especially a baby, was not only uncomfortable but also unsafe. For this reason, we decided not to check in at all. We immediately contacted the manager and later filed a complaint through Agoda, explaining in detail that the accommodation conditions were completely unacceptable for a family with children. Unfortunately, despite all our arguments, the hotel refused to refund the unused reservation. This was even more disappointing, as we trusted the information on the website and expected at least minimal support and understanding. Overall, the experience was extremely negative. The hotel didn't match the description, the service left much to be desired, and the refusal to refund completely ruined the experience. I think it's important to warn other travelers, especially those planning a trip with children: the photos and descriptions may not reflect reality. I strongly advise against this hotel for families with children. The conditions are unsafe and uncomfortable, and the attitude towards guests is completely formal and indifferent. This was one of the worst booking experiences, and unfortunately, it ruined part of our vacation.

I stayed at the Antalya Romana Hotel between the 31.08.24 to 08.9.24. This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in my entire life. From the very first minute I walked in, the service was poor. There are no lifts in this building so you have to climb up and down flights of stairs all day everyday. The room I was asigned was falling into pieces. The front door to the corridor from inside the room showed signs of work done on it [foam etc], the card reader was falling off, making it difficult to put the card in to make the room have some power. The wardrobe had one handle to open. Only 1 of the many sockets in the room worked. The air conditioning was low powered despite setting it to turbo mode. There was no regular cleaning service, I had to speak to the receptionist to clean my room and provide fresh towels and sheets. The door to the balcony would not fully close and so with a gust of wind would open in the middle of the night. The breakfast service was poor with very little options. The fridge in the room was small and not working. The TV had no remote to switch it on with. There was no chair to the vanity table. The safe box was not secure in the wardrobe. The duvet in the wardrobe was dirty and had not been replaced. The only reason I give it a 3* for location was due to it's close proximity to Lara Beach.

I only give 2 stars because this hotel should be advertised like 2 star instead of 4. Location is OK, free car park on the street around the hotel, our room wasn't clean, bathroom very worn, fridge didn't work. There is breakfast but repetitive and basic.
Hotel is OK for a 2 star, and for couple of days.

When I checked in the room was dirty. Bins full of rubbish, hairs on the floor, hairs on the broken toilet seat, hairs in the bed, smoked cigarettes on the floor of balcony. I took pictures and showed to reception. They said sorry and that they will send someone to clean in the morning. 4 days later no one ever came and room is still as disgusting as on day one. I am posting the pictures that I took to show to reception.

First of all I'd like to state that the staff - Eyup and Abdullah - couldn't do enough for me. Very friendly and helpful. But they are the only good things about this hotel. The rooms are tired and shabby - my room (which I asked to be moved from) had a wall light missing (wires hanging down), a cracked mirror, the fridge didn't work and the bathroom was a disgrace. There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. There was an urn in the Reception to get drinks or hot water which I tried but it tasted awful. My next room wasn't much better but at least the fridge worked. The communal areas were not air conditioned. The dining room was a dull and dark basement area and the breakfast items on offer were dismal. No juice, fresh fruit, or cereal. There were slices of ham and cheese, olives, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs and the 'hot' food (cold actually) consisted of pale, soggy, cold chips and something else (maybe a rice and tomato dish) that I can't name because there was never a staff member around to ask. The door to the balcony didn't lock but I was told this was 'standard' and I was safe because I was on the first floor. I pushed a chair up against it every night. The price was cheap for 5 nights so I got what I paid for.
