Hotel Palme

One the dirtiest hotel I've ever been. It was so obvious that the room has not been cleaned for years. Dust balls were drifting on the floor, spider webs were here and there, other guest remainings still under the bed, shower drainage was clogged with hairs and stuff, AC was leaking, satellite receiver was broken, stale breads at breakfast, no extra pillow. Staff and owner are edgy, they go full defensive for no reason even upon a simple question or request.

I was very disappointed with my room as it was not very clean. There were stains on the bedsheets and the bed was not comfortable. The TV did not offer any other languages and the doors to the balcony not open properly. There was dust in the room and the bathroom was very dirty. The shower needs to be updated as the doors are not secure and kept falling off. The toilet was not stable and was wobbly. The chain to the flush of the toilet was also broken. There was also a lack of toilet roll and no housekeeping available. The towels were hard and needed to be updated. There are chickens and other animals also at this hotel. There was a rooster that makes noise during the day on and off but from the hours of 2am and 11am it is constant. Because of this I didn’t get any sleep! There aren’t much facilities at the hotel either. It does need a good update and good clean. One evening I left my hotel room card in my room by accident so was locked out my room. The reception area was locked and no one answered the door. Luckily a friend of mine speaks Turkish so was able to call a number and speak to the owner to open the area so I could get a new card. I waited over 10 minutes for the owner to answer the door and sort a new code. On the last day when checking out I wanted to pay by card but the owners wife was not available. I waited 30 minutes for her to come so I could pay by card. I won’t be staying here again and would not recommend this hotel

The hotel's location in the center can be considered as an advantage. The hotel garden and landscaping are beautiful. Despite this, the fact that it has not been maintained and restored for years creates a very bad image for this beautiful place. The cleanliness was not bad. Since it was the end of the season, dinner was not served, but if they are staying, they should consider this. The breakfast was not bad. There was a warm and smiling communication as of the entrance of the hotel.

The bed had no sheets and no duvet or blankets on it. We asked for a duvet or blankets and they gave us a duvet but no duvet cover or sheets. A bit bizarre! The room was of a decent size but too cold and the aircon unit didn't work. Food in the evening was good.
