Telmessos Select Hotel - Adult Only (+16) - All Inclusive

There is good and bad with this hotel. Online it said. 4 star hotel but was then dropped to a 3 star, on speaking with other guests who regularly go there they said it’s always been 3 star. All the staff are friendly from the cleaners, bar staff and waitresses. The rooms are cleaned everyday but bed linen every 3 days. The floors were never mopped in the 2 weeks we were there. In the restaurant it was not always swept and there was thick dust under 2 speakers that were near the doorway. Oh ! and if you don’t like cats don’t go there, cats are everywhere and wander around the restaurant at meal times. The food is quite repetitive but if you like chicken you’re in luck served everyday at lunch and dinner. The sun beds were filthy and looked like they had seen better days. While we’re on the subject people we’re putting their towels on the sun beds early in the morning and sometimes not using them till later on in the day. Same old problem. If you want to use your safe security box it’s £30 for the 2 weeks we were there. There are no drinks available in reception when you come in from shopping trips or days out, there is a bar there but it’s never open. There are comfy chairs and tables in a quiet area but if you want a drink you have to go all the way down to the bar by the pool. Entertainment was about 30 to 40 minutes on some nights introduced by Victor who liked his drink ! We spoke to a few guests who go there regularly each year and they said that the place has really gone down the pan and the food is not as nice as it used to be. The whole place needs a bit of TLC. We certainly will not be going back there again. I’m sorry that a lot of my comments are negative but that is how we felt about the hotel

We have been coming to this hotel twice a year for the last 4 years and we are very disappointed. The food was very poor and very often cold. Whatever was served at lunchtime was served at teatime with a slightly different sauce. The salads had flies on and the cheese and meats were very dry as fans were pointing on to it from above. Every bit of food seems to be done on a budget. We were having a tuna sandwich from the snack bar and eating nothing else. The Sunday dinner was served in a tiny bowl! The hotel is kept clean but rooms really are looking tired and need an upgrade. We will not be visiting here again unless it massively improves. We spent a lot of money eating out after worrying about getting food poisoning with cold food. All staff were worked very hard, I felt sorry for them.

Cockroach in room, fleas in bed, damp in walls, mould in air vents, shower doesn’t close properly, and socket in bathroom not connected to wall properly, room door doesn’t register closed properly so beeps, bits of wardrobe broken, both managers very very rude and speak down to you, been none stop for the past 11 nights,, avoid this place at all costs!! Or book in at pine valley next door.

This is going to be quite a rant! Firstly we were told 4* joke lucky to be rated 2*room was outdated balcony was a postage stamp don't worry about swinging a cat plenty of them in the restaurant helping their selves to food, sunbeds filthy stained etc another comfy place for the cats, food repeated or rehashed boring, entertainment for an all-inclusive was terrible entertainment vicktor here every day 10am to 11pm yet only entertainment was from 8.45pm to 9.15pm we go home tomorrow more reviews to follow and to anyone who finds this review offensive we are entitled to our opinion and only comment on what we found a lot of the regulars said that standards have dropped we are talking to the jet 2 rep as well.
