Austin Marriott South
Austin, 4415 South Interstate 35 🧭 Map
The property was in good proximity to the airport.
This Hotel had a very decent breakfast comp for a night's stay. The location is more central than one would realize just by looking at the map. Situated by Interstate 35 and highway 71, you can get North to South and East to West of Austin's outskirts in a little more than 100 minutes in any direction.
This full service Marriott hotel is conveniently located in South Austin along I-35 and only a short drive to the airport. There is underground parking directly below the hotel. The hotel is clean and inviting from the moment you step inside. Rooms are typical, and breakfast buffet is quite good with an omelet station and several hot dishes, plus the usual assortment of pastries, fruit, etc. Overall...
Great hotel. The beads are super comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is great, I had a chicken club it was perfect. The staff is wonderful and helpful also.
Got kick out because a error on the system for one night to courtyard San Marcos. I booked it with a long time in advance. However, hotel manager apologized the day after and gave me a better elite status, a room right after I've arrive early morning, free breakfast and additional reward points. After that I can't say Marriott doesn't care about their customers. Now I am grateful that happens.
Tucked away amongst a ton of hotels, this sits on the IH35 parallel road to main highway so easy to get downtown or head elsewhere in the area (San Antonio a bit over an hour south). Have to say having stayed in a ton of hotels in the last few years this one has some of the best staff and amenities. Great restaurant, rooms clean and decent size and for business they have six or seven conference rooms...

Excellent amenities, rooftop bar and city views in the room. Full fridge, stove and dishwasher in the room.
Good location, minimalistic hotel rooms and breakfast options were modest. Suite was disappointing. No scenic view and not as spacious as we hoped.
I think they designed this place for me. Great staff, great breakfast, great style, great vibe. Would love to stay here again. Till next time! Cole was super friendly and welcoming at check in, too.
Pet friendly, modern decor and great customer service. Well located downtown; easy to avoid their ridiculous $43/day valet by using the spothero app to find cheap overnight parking close by. Fast elevators and good coffee shop on the first floor
Wow! My husband and I travel A LOT and this hotel has been AMAZING. The facility is beautiful and well taken care of. Everyone has been a complete pleasure to deal with. Our room has a microwave and a small fridge. (Not mini) it’s been great for me because I have lots of food allergies and we’ve been able to shop and have stuff for me. This is always a problem when we travel. We’ve loved staying here...
New, modern hotel in downtown Austin. What's not to like? Everything was clean and felt as though I was the first person to stay in my room. Breakfast was simple, but tasty. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Great location close to the Capitol. Room was clean and spacious. Valet attendants were very nice and accommodating.
Adequate place to sleep with reasonable prices downtown. Room was clean and functional. A little noisy.
Outside of the dyed blonde lady with the super crappy attitude working the night shift on the first night? And the very boring lackluster "breakfast"? Pretty nice stay.
"You get what you paid for" truly applies to this La Quinta, which was more like a motel than a hotel. We had booked it for our weekend in Austin because we wanted to be downtown but pay under $200. It was a decent place and in a good location, but it is definitely dated and needs upgrading. The room was decent: good size, decent bed, but the heater/AC unit couldn't make up it's mind - it was very...
Front desk staff was very nice and valet people were friendly. Location was great rich next door to the capital. The room look like it was redone so everything was nice, I would stay here again next time I go.
We picked the La Quinta because of it's proximity to the Frank Erwin Center. This hotel is like a well worn coat, not so good looking anymore but still keeps you warm. Our room was quiet even though we faced a busy intersection. Service was fine. Room was clean. Free breakfast was pretty ordinary. Parking is extra.
This is right in the heart of downtown, across the street from the capitol building It was very clean The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Clean pet friendly hotel. No breakfast. Great price. No complaints on my side at all.
Customer service was subpar. Kicked us out after they mistakenly booked us under age. Carla, the large heavyset woman at the counter, was one of the rudest people I've dealt with. Find a better place there's a bunch of hotels on this st. don't pick this one.
Quick service, but thin walls. In-room amenities are dated but functional. Wifi is free, decently fast, and easy to connect to. Beds are beds, and check-in and out were quick and efficient. One issue is thin walls, which leaked sound from the hallway and adjacent rooms. Good value for the price.
The hotel was decent for the price, but what made the difference was the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a good one.
I didn't go in the rooms. I just went to have a drink with my friend. It was very good service. Wasn't the nicest atmosphere but the service was great
We were half expecting a grimy budget motel but were pleasantly surprised as our room was renovated and clean. They upgraded our room without extra charge and also accepted our cat without any extra charges. There's no breakfast but coffee and tea available. The only negative point for me was the unbelievably loud AC unit in the room. Otherwise, and especially if your expectations are low going in...

The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel bartenders were fantastic. However, the hotel overall wasn’t in the best shape. Almost everything is outdated from the lobby to the rooms, and our room had water stains on the ceiling by the AC unit as well as in the hallway. Beds were comfy, but the room itself left much to be desired as it was very bland and the TV had screen issues. Was not a terrible...
This hotel is outdated and needs some attention. My husband and I stayed here for one night for a UT game. Our room was on the fourth floor. The AC was very loud, the sink was cracked in the front, and the room was just tired-looking. It was clean though. The check-in process was fine. They have a nice-looking bar but only one bartender which was surprising for a Saturday evening prior to a UT game...
Would leave 0 if I could. I had a reservation (supposedly). When I landed at 11:40 pm I received a phone call advising me that they did not have a room for me. Really? Where am I supposed to sleep in my car? Don’t book this hotel. They will leave you out in the street! Completely unacceptable! Update - the hotel management put me up in another hotel (comped) as well as covered the next night...
Very nice facilities, huge workout room, friendly staff. Rooms aren’t big, but they’re comfy and have everything you need. Double Tree also has amazing, fresh-baked warm cookies that they’ll give you upon check-in (and sometimes as requested at the front desk, ha). My only complaint is that the interior rooms facing the bar can be a bit noisy depending on the crowd down there at night. Also can hear...
I had a leak in my room from the air conditioning unit at 10:30 at night. I called the front desk and had someone at my door with a new room key within 90 seconds, a maintenance guy appeared minutes after as I was packing up my stuff, and I was comfortably in a new room within 5 minutes of calling the front desk. Profuse apologies all around. Impeccable service here!
I have stayed here twice now and both times the service desk clerks were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very nice and is much bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. There is a large bar and media area with rows of flat screen TVs showing different channels on the walls, several computers, and access to a 24-hour fitness center that's more than adequate for a great...

You get what you pay for. At least no bed bugs were found...or at least visable that is. The place is dingy. The towels smelled like smoke in the NON SMOKING room. The air conditioner was not working well the refrigerator was too cold. Sadly we found out the hard way when our sodas were African in the morning. The pool was the best part of the stay. I would sadly stay again for the price only. The...
Nice clean rooms. But the other guests ruined any good impression. Several set up chairs in the walkways and carried on late into the night, music blaring. Other rooms nearby were also loud. TVs and music thudding through the walls. Hotel staff seemed inexperienced or exhausted. Parking on the weekends was problematic. I understand some of these issues are outside of what La Quinta can control. But...
While the hotel is dated, the rooms are clean and well-maintained. This is the first LaQuinta I have stayed in that does not include a refrigerator in the room, but otherwise it is much as you would expect. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable.
Good enough room for the price. AC is somewhat quiet, bed comfortable, big bathroom, nice TV with a good selection of channels. Wifi connection is stable and the speed is adequate. No fridge but a full ironing set. This room, 212 is in the back, seems quiet enough, cant really hear the interstate traffic. Front desk staff very professional, quick check in and even a phone call to my room to check...
The maids are so generous & clean the room for u everyday to their very best ability. The whole entire staff is pretty nice & stores are walking distance. Only thing is they dont come with microwaves or fridges & they only have drinking vending machines not food machines.

Clean, modern rooms. Front desk, maid service, bistro, Starbucks, excellent service all around. We have two small children and they had a great time at the indoor pool and enjoyed the delicious breakfast we ordered at the bistro. The location affords easy access to everything Austin has to offer and plenty of options within walking distance of the hotel. This is our go-to place to stay when in Austin
I am 57 years old and have no visible disabilities but I do need basic safety measures to help with balance and stability. For example, a grab bar in the shower area. Without one, a fall in the shower would invite a lawsuit. In addition, there is a great need for additional and accessible power outlets and more counter space. I appreciate the in-room coffee. We stay here because my sister likes...
The rooms are nice, recently remodeled and the staff and has been very friendly and helpful. The beds and linens are comfortable. The location is very convenient. The only thing I don't like is there is only one elevator for the entire hotel so sometimes you have to wait a hit.
Well, the staff is friendly, the room is nice. Spacious enough for 3. ( 2 adults and a small child) beds are comfy, pillows are great! Complimentary waters and breakfast. Have yet to check out the bistro.. All in all.. Great time. Ooh! I even have a balcony!
The property was a typical Courtyard - clean and a courteous staff. What set this location apart was the service. We were passing through on an anniversary trip and the staff brought a care package to our room, along with a personalized note wishing us congratulations. Totally unnecessary and unexpected, but definitely appreciated. The human touch was amazing. Thank you!!
Clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice. It was a quick overnight and had no time to explore surrounding area, but the hotel was very nice.

Cleanliness of the property and room. Level of security as an active room card is required to access rooms from the lobby. View of downtown Austin at night was breathtaking
Good location in centre of town. Great breakfast with very helful staff. Big sign on the roof made it easy to orientate back.
Nice hotel and rooms right near the downtown nightlife. Breakfast is included with the rooms and it's decent. There is a bar attached to the hotel but otherwise the lobby is relatively sparse and quiet. Parking is in a garage directly below the hotel so if you self Park like I did it's still easy, unlike some hotels where parking is four blocks away so you end up paying extra for the valet. The exercise...
My stay here was very pleasant, however when I got home I found that I had over £1,500 of charges on my card erroneously placed by the hotel, it turns out that they overwrote the card used by my booking agent and charged me for my stay instead on my personal credit card. This has not only impacted my credit rating but meant that I have been charged an excess credit fee by my bank, and left my card...
We had a very good time in the Residence Inn and would recommend it to everyone. The front end manager Matt treated us like we were his only guests. When I watched him later he did the same for the next guests. The girls in the Championship Bar and Grill were excellent, as well as the Valets. Top notch.
Such a disappointment this go round. Stayed here a year ago and thought it was godsend after having stayed in ESA for 2 months. Came back this year after having spent 6 weeks in the Domain Residence Inn. The amenities are by far much fewer, the customer service is definitely lacking. Although a friendly staff they are not very accommodating I suspect due to the limitations of ownership. I seem to keep...

They do have a parking gargage however most of the spots are full if your late on arrival. They switched the room I picked on the app,the picked room was close to a elevator (requires a key) and on a completely different floor. The control your room on the app doesn't work but the TV option. Thermostats are restricted to only 66 will not go below that. King bed was pretty hard compared to others.
We booked a King size deluxe room and I HIGHLY recommend it. Super spacious. No pool, and no free breakfast. A good hotel for a quick stay and that early morning workout that I never did.
This hotel didn’t live up to expectations. We have stayed in a few Hilton garden inns in the past, and this one just doesn’t cut the mustard. When we walked into our room, although it was super clean, the toilet seat was not even connected to the toilet base. So I had to fix that. The air in our room didn’t work well at all. We set it on 68 to try and cool the room and it never got below 72. The fan...
Desire at the front desk is spectacular. She is patient and kind and excellent at her job. I consistently stay at this hotel due to her and the bartender, Martin. He is also super knowledgeable about all things drink related. If you have a chance, I highly recommend staying here.

Nice hotel and a good location, but I can’t understand why there was no air conditioning on the third floor where they placed us with a dog. 2nd time staying here and I really like it here. Very comfortable and accommodating. Lots of shops, eats, and activities around the area. Staff is very courteous, friendly and helpful. This hotel is in a really interesting spot. It sits directly in the airports runway flight path. It's not the best or most scenic area but it's very close to the mall and a host of eating places. The drive to Sea World was about 20 minutes which I didn't mind since this location was nearly 100 dollars cheaper than the sea world location. If this is your first trip to San Antonio, I'd recommend staying...
Great staff who can accommodate every minor request. Delicious complimentary breakfast that's pre-packaged to be Covid-safe. Spacious and cleanly rooms, and attention to detail to keep it feeling homely. Easily accessible from major highways, with lots of walkable food options nearby. We will return, and we would recommend!
I was staying here because my son was in the hospital, it was a difficult week, the staff made us feel at home and safe. I didnt catch names of the guys that worked the front desk but they were all very good. I work in a hotel as a desk clerk and know first hand the job. Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Decent hotel, but some minor changes here and there will go a long way. Nice updated rooms, stocked kitchenette. Good location, but the parking lot is too small for the number of guests (we have had to park in nearby Home Depot lot overnight at risk of towing). I went in thinking it would be a bit dated, but actually the rooms are a good size, the way they have the hotel set up gives you this really cool balcony view to a pool area and pretty good seating area. Beautiful hotel! Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Rooms were very nice and cute artwork throughout hotel! Very clean! Nice restaurant area and a Starbucks available as well! Lovely courtyard areas and scenary! I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family! Will definitely come back here when I return to Austin!
This place is super dope and the pricing was super low for what we got. The room we got was HUGE. The valet parking was a plus and EVERYONE there was helpful and friendly. I definitely will be back when I'm in Austin again.
Nice hotel but was noisy overnight on the weekend (midnight-4am) and when I had to get up early for work on the Sunday morning there were people still partying in the hallway. Clean and well kept rooms. Great restaurant and bar in the lobby.
It was a pleasure staying here. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. My room was clean and comfortable. The workout room is fine for a hotel of its size.
