I liked the vibe of this hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels and this one was on the nicer side for the price I paid. The live music each night was a nice touch as well. I had a leak in my room from the air conditioning unit at 10:30 at night. I called the front desk and had someone at my door with a new room key within 90 seconds, a maintenance guy appeared minutes after as I was packing up my stuff, and I was comfortably in a new room within 5 minutes of calling the front desk. I stayed here for work. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I had to leave the for the airport at 4am. Angela was working at the front desk. I went in thinking it would be a bit dated, but actually the rooms are a good size, the way they have the hotel set up gives you this really cool balcony view to a pool area and pretty good seating area. I wasn't impressed with the food and there was a mix up with some charges to my card. But other than that I liked it here. I didn't care for the location but they try to make up for it.

Nice employees. We had a "partial view" executive room. It was the size of most regular rooms but nicely updated. Very nice view of Austin and the water. It's easy to go for a wonderful walk (or bike ride) by the water. Also very short drive from here to anywhere you'd want to go in Austin. We will return.

The motel offers happy hour each day. There are 3 drink tickets per person and hot food, salad, soup, nacho bar, and hot dogs. The parking lot is secure with a gated entry. Comfortable rooms and Wi-Fi provided. Only suggestion would be better pillows on the beds.
