Stayed over Halloween weekend for our anniversary. The rooms are beautiful and we had a great view of downtown. We left only for a couple hours for lunch and came back to our bed made which was nice. I booked overnight to avoid having to drive to the airport super early in the morning. They have a shuttle whose driver was incredibly nice, the front desk clerks were very courteous and helpful. They even allow you to park your car for a reasonable fee until you return. The beds were comfy and rooms were clean. I really don’t know what more I could have asked for. It checked all our boxes.

The room and bed were very comfortable. The hotel provided a varied and interesting breakfast. The best thing at the hotel was being able to catch the airport shuttle bus to the airport very early in the morning to catch our flight. The Hyatt is an Austin original. Great restaurant and bar and walking distance to almost everything Austin. Whether it's shopping at the Yeti store or watching the Congress Avenue bridge bats. Not to mention thread girls world headquarters restaurant is just across the way. The Hyatt also offers a great parking venue, in their garage, Another place with a great view, from the top floor.

I really enjoy coming out here. Super family-friendly, with tons of activities for kids. The food in all of the restaurants is quite good. Incredibly convenient accommodations to the capitol. Have stayed here a couple of times for business. I have chosen to park at the parking garage on the same block which was about $40 a day vs $55 at hotel valet. Nice thought out rooms. They have motion activated lights. Very cozy.

The toilet in the corner room is part of the room, and the toilet bowl is not separated from the bedroom by a wall, but only by a glass partition. This funny design decision gives the feeling of the literal presence of someone using the toilet next to the sleeping person on the bed.

Newly built Hyatt hotel in the center. Since its new its all fresh which I like. After a few days my AC broke and the hotel kindly upgraded me to top suite with amazing views. Very new hotel with a new style. The building is very tall and narrow, with only about 1/2 dozen rooms on each floor. Our room was very stylish with great views, large windows, and interesting decorations. However, it was smaller and more narrow than a traditional hotel room (larger than Hyatt Tommie, but smaller than Hyatt Regency). The location was convenient for me as it’s close to the University of Texas at Austin’s museums and the LBJ Presidential Library and to the state capitol. The rooftop offers a fantastic view of downtown Austin and the Capitol. Really nice place in a great area. Clean rooms, friendly service, and close enough to all of the action. The hotel bar was really nice. Some of the fancier cocktail bars require reservations but the cocktails we got in the hotel bar were just as good with no reservations. Really very nice and would definitely return.

We met up at the rooftop bar and it was SO LOVELY! Spectacular views and the bartenders were kind, helpful and made an effort to get to know our party. On our way back down, we stopped at the outdoor patio by the pool and saw this enormous geode. This hotel gets an A++++ for decor and vibes!!

We picked the La Quinta because of it's proximity to the Frank Erwin Center. This hotel is like a well worn coat, not so good looking anymore but still keeps you warm. Our room was quiet even though we faced a busy intersection. Service was fine. Room was clean. Free breakfast was pretty ordinary. Parking is extra.
