Overall clean, a little noisy, the hotel is old

Hotel is dated. We had mold in the bathroom. No fan was in the bathroom so that explained that. Tile and caulking pull away from tub and wall. Tub was disgusting. We stayed one night but I would not stay longer. It is a nice location it was a 14 minute walk everywhere we wanted to go. Great food choices in the area. I wouldn’t recommend the in house restaurant. Cold Clam Chowder and stale crackers.

Old physical plant located next to major hospital construction project.....i.e. noisy. All of Boston is expensive but this Wyndham is a tired dump with no hint of luxury or atmosphere. Guest Service Mgr. admitted to twenty yr. old mattresses....bathroom has moldy grout, peeling wallpaper, and cheap bath fixtures. Rooms larger per yesteryear standards but everything looked dowdy and dismal. In need of major overhaul. Poor value. Restaurant menu was basic but decent.

This property is well located near public transport, Mass General Hospital, good restaurants and a Whole Foods which we found helpful. Boston Commons and the Freedom Trail are within walking distance. The property carries the Wyndham name but is somewhat down on the heels, showing its age in public areas, carpets and general appearance. Service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. But, for our taste, this accommodation did not offer good value for the cost.

The man at the check in was Marvin. He was rude and difficult to deal with. The hotel is much more dated than expected. Not worth the price. The bed has springs in my back, the windows are filthy, carpet is stained. The bathroom frame is falling apart. Such a disappointment for the end of our trip. I will tell my travel agent to never suggest this hotel again. Also incorrect check in information.

I stayed here for three nights for a city trip. I was a little nervous about what I would find after reading the reviews. The hotel is on the older side, but it is fine for a city trip. Close to the metro and city. There was cleaning every day and towels were replenished. The shower is the least comfortable. The shower curtain barely holds back water and the jet is hard. The rooms were clean, if you look carefully you will always find something. The staff is friendly and open for a chat.

The location was very good, we could walk to Downtown which was good because we didn't spend money on transportation, the pool is small, the accommodation prices are very high, I feel that it is a good option if you need to stay near Downtown.
