Hyatt Place Boston/Seaport District
Boston, 295 Northern Avenue 🧭 Map
200% satisfied. #1 reason was its location. At 6 AM I was astonished by watching the beautiful sun rise above the horizon and seaport, lying on my bed. Also, the area is very safe to walk late at night. My family went out to buy ice cream a few blocks down at night, but lots of families were enjoying the night time outside. #2 reason was the hoteliers. Receptionists and all other workers were so nice...
This is a wonderful place to stay. Very comfy and clean. Staff was very helpful. It is located in a busy district with a concert venue near by and I hardly was bothered by the music when trying to sleep early. It is in a walkable district with great restaurants near by and nice scenery. I highly recommend and will definitely stay again.
Hyatt & Valet staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean. Fitness Center was clean, spacious and comprehensive. Rooftop lounge was a nice space with a view. Hotel is across the street from Leader Bank Pavilion, but noise was minimal from room. Free breakfast consisted of bacon, eggs, bagels and other grab & go items. I booked directly with Hyatt and got a discounted valet rate.

Stayed here over night for a quick stay before visiting local colleges. Checked in past midnight and was still greeted by 2 people at the front desk that got me and my family checked in fast. For a late night crew they were also very accomadating for a room that would sleep my family of 5. The free breakfast in the morning was good and the place was clean. I didn't use pool or gym but did look at them...
Overall decent hotel. Not in the best location, not much to walk too, kinda loud. However the shuttle will drive you places. Close to the airport. The rooms are very nice my recently refurbished from the looks. Hotel restaurant food is so so. Definitely not the best, but it's convenient. Beds were decent, but the pillows need some work. Very lumpy and not supportive at all. Staff was very nice though...
Super hotel and staff. Room was good sized and very comfortable. Shuttle drivers are courteous and prompt. I needed to mail something, and the UPS store was so close to one of the shuttle stops, the driver dropped me at the door, circled the block and picked me up. The staff was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled, giving me a very late check out and then offering to extend my stay...
The staff was excellent and very attentive. However, the hotel was very clearly understaffed. The house keeping staff is obviously rushed, as well as all the staff who work in the bar and cafe area. There are also some things about the room that I really did not enjoy, like the bathroom door that slides and doesn't really offer much privacy, as well as the extremely annoying toilet paper roll holder...
It looks like they've recently renovated the rooms, and they are quite nice. I appreciated how close this hotel was to the airport as well. There are mini fridges in the room, however the only microwave should you need one is down in the lobby. I didn't personally check out the pool, but overheard a family in the elevator stating there were a lot of spiders in the pool area. Overall for a brief stay...
My friend rented a room for us on 2/17/18. The hotel itself & our room was clean. The hallway room light didn't work, the 2 maintenance guys tried to fix it in a timely manner. They couldn't, but they tried & were very friendly & professional. The tub was very slow to drain! She chose this hotel because it has a hot tub & pool @ a very reasonable rate, unfortunately the hot tub was basically out of...

nice and clean, pretty cool rooms and the heated pool is awesome during cold winter days
Drinks and beer at the bar were very good. The bartender provided excellent service. It was fun place to have a drink before or after the game.
It was nice to be right in the middle of Fenway area, the rooms were small but comfortable and it was really need having a record player and a record collection to choose from! Employees were super friendly and the food was good although I wish it has been made clear to me that there was no room service ahead of time. It wasn't that much of a hassle to walk down to the bar to pick up the food though
Kind staff and clean. I truly did enjoy the hotel and the design of it. The beds where a little stiff and in the morning I did not enjoy hearing the landscapers blowing the leaf blower. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.
Very cool vibes at the verb. Right next door to fenway. So if you don't like noisy pick elsewhere. My rooms peephole was blacked out which I found odd. The vent in the bathroom did not work which made it steamy. Everything else was super cool. Selection of records near the lobby if your into that kind of thing. I was pleased with the preselected records already in my room. Someone has good taste! I...
Perfect location by Fenway and House of Blues. A bit campy, but the music theme is pretty fun. I love the vinyl library you can borrow from for the record player in your room. Not really a four star hotel when it comes to the rooms, but the location and vibe of the place makes it a great place to have a good time for a night or two. Oh, and it has a pool! Be warned: it can be kind of a maze trying...

Fantastic location right in the middle of Newbury Street. Very spacious comfy rooms.
We loved this place. Were lucky enough to get a room on the 4th floor(we like views). It still has bits of character from being an old building- for us that's a feature. But everything was clean, neat, comfortable, an also bright & airy-which was impressive considering the size limitations old building represent. Only complaint is the lack of signage if you enter from parking in the back alley. We...
Very comfortable rooms with a relaxed environment. Mark was very helpful and friendly, he helped us whenever we had questions. The Newbury Guest House made our stay in Boston very enjoyable.
Super cozy, clean, quiet and in the heart of everything!! What a pleasure to have stayed here. It's also adjacent to an absolutely lovely French restaurant. Will definitely stay here again
Location is great. Close to the T and airport express. Newbury Avenue has excellent restaurants and shops. Service is good. Bathroom was a little small, but you're in a brownstone.
I enjoyed my stay in this boutique hotel with lots of character and style. I was able to take the elevator up to the fourth floor where my room was located but note that when entering from the Newbury Entrance you need to climb up some stairs with luggage. There is a water refilling tea and coffee station next to reception. The property has a very central location right in the heart of Newbury Street...

I loved this hotel. The missing star is only a product of the location. We had limited interaction with staff but it was fine since we did not need anything. There were several breakfast options (perfect for families) but breakfast ends at 9am. The hotel is a combo hotel Hampton Inn and Homewood suites. I believe they share all of the common areas. There is a nice pool and a fantastic business center...
This hotel was very clean, updated and modern. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was amazing with many options. One negative. The parking (valet) has limited spaces, not many at all, and when that is full you are directed to 3 public lots you can use. I didn't mind the short walk (.2 mi) and it was actually cheaper but it would have been nice to know ahead of time so we weren't caught...
The hotel is really good over all. Helpful staff, who are more than happy to assist with any ‘touristy’ questions. The hotel has a very aquatic atmosphere, which I personally love. Decent distance from all types of transportation. I stayed five days, and was more than satisfied with the amenities, such as breakfast, a gym, pool, and 24/7 coffee and tea. Hope this was helpful:)

A great choice for stating in the Boston area. An excellent staff with a concierge. There is a bus stop right by also. The rooms are very clean with wonderful views. A great breakfast with a evening dinner jazz bar. I will stay here again when I am back to the region.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Easy to check in and check out. We spent some time in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. And appreciated the shuttle than ran to the aquarium
As I always say Boston's best kept secret! There is a spirit of Excellence at work in this facility from Soup To Nuts. Hospitality at this facility and staff alike is just 2nd to none. I enjoyed the visit but when I was leaving my wife and I were approached by security to inform us that someone apparently wanted something more iside my car than I did. Our car was broken into with two shattered windows. I would say the parking situation could be improved.
Hotel has good parking, clean comfortable rooms and continental breakfast. I think Hampton Inn is generally a safe choice to save a little money and have a decent stay and this location is no exception.
Room was clean, front desk was polite and helpful. Nice view of the city from the pool which is on the 9th floor. My only complaint could be that we had to wait 20 for our room to be ready when we arrived at 4 p.m. despite having a reservation. But that's really not that big a deal since you cannot help someone checking out late from the room when you ask for a specific room number. Rather the room...
Good hotel , very convenient to the airport and downtown Boston. Parking garage directly across the street so parking was not an issue. Some nice views from the upper floors.
This location works with dana farber to offer cheaper rates for those with family in the hospitals around the area. The rooms are clean and functional, and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. The "pool" is more of a community bath, too small to really swim in. Overall a decent experience, at a very reasonable price.

The staff was cheerful, & quick to respond. I requested for a 2 hours late checkout & was given the permission without any extra charges.
Great hospitality. Stayed here with our young children and the hotel was so accommodating. They had a pack and play waiting in the room when we checked in. Also, went out of their way to engage with the kids to make their stay awesome! They have this little "scavenger hunt" which was super helpful for keeping the kids interested/distracted while walking around the city. Shout out to Justin and Harry...
Cheap(during tail end of pandemic), clean, and a good location. There was no in room fridge, so you'll need to figure out something else if you need one for meds. Fantastic place to stay in Boston. Close to everything whether going to a game or concert at Fenway Park, or need to get to TDBank Garden. Lots of public transportation near by and lots of great restaurants. Staff was very nice!! Room was small, but didn't need much more anyway. Very comfortable!! Definitely will stay there again!!
Absolutely amazing. Stub hub changed the date of my concert with out notice until I caught the mistake and called them about it. In doing so, I had to call and cancel my hotel reservations and the hotel was EXTREMELY generous and gave a price match to the same room but on my new date. Best customer service. Five stars all around!!

Amazing hotel. Good views, the street isn’t too busy and has accessibility to most of the touristy places around Boston. Rooms are spacious, clean and well designed. Clean rooms, very nice and accommodating staff. Gave our entire sports team late checkouts so that we could shower after our tournament finished. Great cleaning service.
This hotel has an amazing staff, everyone is really nice and willing to help. BUT, it has terrible ENVIRONMENTAL and RECYCLING processes. I’ve been here for a month and could see the huge waste each day is created. All plates and cutlery are single use only. All towels are washed every day. Definitely a huge awareness and planet care is needed.

Very good location and well priced. Only bad thing is that there is no bar. The staff are friendly and the hotel is quiet. Breakfast is great and pizza place in the evening is tasty too. Recommended for young travellers who aren’t spending much time in the hotel.
Basic hotel but clean, comfortable and well priced for the great location right next to the Hancock building. The rooms are small but have all the necessities. I'm giving them a 3 because of the history & beauty of the building and kudos to the "cleaning staff" for the pride they take in their jobs. I am handicapped, NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR US! Guess I miss understood...it cost $70 for 2 days & that is with the Hotel...
Ok, I add my vision of the main points treated in previous reviews of this place: - Rooms: They are not so extra tiny to me. My room was OK. - Beds: Mine was also comfortable. No complains. - Shower: Yes, mine wasn't warm enough. - Heating-noise: it was terrible. I could barely sleep. And it is even worse if you turn the fan from "auto" to "on". But if you don't do that, the room gets really cold ...
Nice hotel. Good location. Get a lot of noise from other people slamming their doors and heating isn't great.

Checked in late one night after doing my car off at the airport rental terminal. This hotel is a short well lit walk from there. Beds were nice and comfortable and the AC worked well.
Nice hotel with evening snacks and good breakfast in the morning. 5 min. walk to the subway for easy access to downtown. Better than staying at the hotels right by the airport because you aren't as stranded, having to wait for shuttles all the time.
At first glance this hotel is nice as clean. But so are most modern hotels these days. What stands out to me are these two points. One is the parking situation. They charge $50 a day to park. Street parking is hit or miss but can be free for weekends. But they don't tell you that. Also the parking ticket is only $40 so it's cheaper per day to try your luck there. The other issue was the managers reception...
The room layout is actually bigger than the one we stayed in Houston TX. Not a spectacular views because of the location but it’s fairly easy to get to the Subway. The room itself is very comfortable and I think it deserve a lot props. I feel like the hotel is under staffed. The breakfast staff look like they are working on a million things at one time. You can also tell because of their irritability...

Large room, comfortable bed, nice work desk and chair.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are a plethora of dining options nearby, which is helpful because the hotel has no restaurant. I imagine this place is very lively when the Red Sox are in town, based on it's proximity to Fenway.
Good hotel, decent view--close to Northeastern and Boston Universities, art museum, Fenway Park. Breakfast was later than advertised--a slight inconvenience--but otherwise service is excellent. Very cool top-floor lounge with indoor and outdoor portions and bar, but the view is primarily of office and residential buildings rather than the Boston skyline.
Great rooms. Great location. Safe and walking distance to a lot of things. Rooms are clean and large and we'll stocked with equipment if you want to cook.
Convenient location. Nice property. Less than stellar service. Upon check-in we couldn't access our assigned room because some sort of door was locked and it took them 30 minutes to figure it out. Why not just assign us another room? It was late and after a long day of travel this was just very frustrating. No apology or anything. Other than that, our stay was fine.
