Absolutely gorgeous artisan hotel. Very golf centered, but still enjoyable for all. The craftsmanship of the entire hotel makes you feel as if you are truly in another world, it was the perfect escape. The stone work and the landscaping took my breath away! Dog friendly, heated pool, and spa access just by being a guest. Very luxurious experience.

*Just for context you can see the ocean beyond the golf course but my video and pictures are from a cozy misty morning*

Excellent experience at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the beds were comfortable. Not much more you could ask for. One thing I couldn’t help but notice was that all the staff seemed genuinely happy and caring, it makes all interactions that much more pleasant. I highly recommend The Lodge!

We had an outstanding experience this past weekend at the Lodge at Torrey Pines! Every aspect of our stay was 5 star, from check-in, to our amazing suite, restaurants, spa treatments, car service, room service....Just fantastic. Service was honestly one of the best I have experienced and we have stayed in many hotels around the world. I had planned a very special weekend with my 3 daughters who all live around the country, for a bday celebration. The Lodge did not disappoint! It exceeded my expectations as well as my daughters who are not all easy to please:) THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

They firstly gave us the wrong type of room, then I argued with them and they found out they did give us the wrong room and apologize to us. They said they will give us 50 percent discount for the mistake but we didn’t receive this discount back.

The Lodge is one of a kind. I’ve golfed at Torrey Pines, but never while staying at the Lodge. Point being that this oasis isn’t just for golfers / golfing.

While not an inexpensive lodging option, the many special touches are reminiscent of a Four Seasons / Ritz experience, albeit tucked into the unassuming charm of craftsman architecture (more unassuming compared to most top lodging brands), which I adore. When comparing experience value to cost, I’d say this property is a solid value.

The pool area is understated and relaxing, the service is excellent, the dining options a perfect match (we prefer the more understated Grill, which has a terrific outdoor covered / heated / wind protected patio). The remodeled central courtyard is wonderful, providing significantly more light to the rooms and balconies than prior to the remodel.

All in all, one of our favorite hotels of all time, which keeps us coming back. Thanks to the employees, management team, and ownership for maintaining such a treasure.

Shout out to the maintenance team - while walking through the parking garage, the door to the maintenance shop was open and that team was busily at work . . . reminded us of all the efforts this team makes to keep this treasure shining . . . well done!

Great stay across all dimensions. Staff and service are great, grounds are beautiful, golf course is really good (or so I heard - I for one enjoyed running in the park nearby), pool makes it attractive for families as well.

Rooms and design are obviously on the “vintage” side. Location is beautiful but not a lot nearby apart from the beautiful coast / running and hiking spots.

Small nit: fireplaces didn’t work (for me). I am sure it was “user error” and I could have called someone.

Overall, highly recommended!

Wish we could’ve stayed longer
Excellent service, great room, although a little dated, it still felt high end.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. From the start at check in to check out. EVERYONE goes out of their way to improve your experience. I love the house keeping twice a day. The house keeping staff is included with staff that makes your stay more enjoyable. They do more than offer to clean room. They make sure you don’t need anything at all, or if you need any assistance at all. Definitely going back with the family.

Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views of the Torrey Pines golf course and Pacific Ocean from our Palisades room. Our room was spacious with a wonderful fireplace and large bathroom. The hotel amenities are nice, but the AR Valentine restaurant was under construction during our stay, which was unfortunate. I am taking a star off due to an old uncomfortable mattress that was extremely firm/springy, along with several nonfunctioning outlets throughout the room. The pillows provided zero support as well. I also did not appreciate the outrageous valet/resort fees at this hotel. $65/night for valet ($55 for self parking) and $60/night resort fees!! That’s an additional $125 a night for essentially nothing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay minus the few setbacks. Just be prepared to pay a pretty penny when you check out.
