Wyndham Bayside Hotel
San Diego, 1355 North Harbor Drive 🧭 Map
Older hotel with great ocean view, but room prices were much more expensive when we purchased online compare to on sight.
Very old building. Poor lightings, pretty dark room. Bed was ok. Bathroom was pretty dark and there was no shower head. I appreciate the hot and cold water dispenser in the gym, very friendly front desk and of course, it was safe to park my car by the street. Location was great.
It has a very Nice view and a convenient location! I would like to come back to this hotel if I visit San Diego next time.
Excellent location and friendly staff. The rooms look a bit old and would need some renovation. Not many amenities in the hotel but we have all me need around. A bit noisy at the Pacific Dr is down the hotel, so earplugs are necessary on the bayside. This could be improved but all the windows would have to be changed for isolation (sound and thermic).
Excellent location! Great view from the hotel balcony!
Really great location, staff members are quite supportive.
Good room as to be expected

Service is good very kind :) i love it this place
When i come later i want this
i like this hotels, because nice view
Arrived at the store after 6:00 p.m., and was told that there were no high-floor rooms. I booked a room with a city view, but I was given a room on the third floor. I couldn’t see anything. The cleanliness of the house is pretty good, and it’s a simple decoration. I don’t want the splendor of domestic hotels.
We loved the overall ambience, the friendliness of the crew at the breakfast place, particularly JC who was attentive and engaging.
However, the cleanliness of the room was abhorrent. On our first night, we found dirt, stains and what looked like dried poop on one of the 2 beds when we were able to tuck ourselves to bed, at past midnight. We had to call the night shift housekeeper to change. While...
nice spacious room with everything you need, lovely bathroom with extra large shower. Attractive pool area, plenty of towels & sunbeds. Very friendly staff, couldn’t do enough for you.

The rooms were inexpensive, the staff were very nice, everything about the stay was excellent. The quality of the room was very decent considering the price that was paid and was very conveniently located directly off the interstate. The restaurant had a decent selection and it's nice you don't have to leave the property to go grab some food everyone there was friendly more than willing to help. Great...
This was a great rate for a room in this location. Bathroom was clean with no spots or mold in tile or grout which is what I always look for. For what we paid the room was well outfitted and comfortable. WiFi worked very well and there was free parking. Didn't get to try amenities (fitness room, pool or jacuzzi) but they all looked fine when we passed them by.
Pretty nice place to stay for a few days when visiting San Diego. The bed (Queen size) is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has basic toiletries covered. Staff is friendly too. No complimentary water though. Overall very good value. Would probably stay here again.
Amazing American breakfast. Their french toast is the best i have ever had. The resort is very good except for sometimes creepy crawlies get into the room, even on the bed. It may be probably because of the lush greenery around, but gets a little scary.
Great hotel. There is no complimentary, but our room was cleaned and towels replenished every day. I loved all the lush vegetation along the walk ways. It gave it a jungle feel. The hot tub and heated outdoor pool was a nice touch too.
Nice location. Easy to access points of interest quickly from here. Bring your own pillow, these feel like tiny bags of fill ?. Rooms are very small, I guess you could say "cozy". Beds comfortable.
A little disappointed there was no breakfast, had to re-figure my budget for a family of four. Everynight the lot was full,so I'm sure breakfast could be served even a continental breakfast.

Holiday Inn Bayside, an IHG Hotel
San Diego, 4875 North Harbor Drive 🧭 Map
The rooms are kinda old and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything! But they do have a quiet side with signs up. It only helps if you have quiet neighbors though. You can get your parking validated at the front desk. Location is great.
This is a large property separate into multiple buildings. If newer more modern is your preference make sure you are in the building where the lobby is. If you like a traditional California cozy room super quiet, but family friendly due to the better older construction. Example you can't hear foot falls in the room above you then pick a room in the other buildings. All the rooms are great and right...
Great place. Very nice, spacious rooms.
All recently refurbished. The motel part is less, so you may want to stay in the main building.
Gym available 24hrs and a bar and restaurant are on the premises.
Friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful wooden blinds in the rooms. Convenient Airport Shuttle. No continental breakfast in the main building. Kids eat free in the a-la-carte breakfast.
It doesn't look like 5 star from the outside. Corporate doesn't rate itself as 5 star. However, I was without a single complaint during my 5 day stay. After receiving an upgrade (Hyatt Courtesy Card Holder perk) to a corner balcony room overlooking the marina, it was all consistently rewarding from there. The most friendly staff made every effort to accommodate with taxis and revommendations. The...
Got locked of the hotel room because the lock lost battery. Didn't get anything more than an I'm sorry as an inconvenience. The shower was terrible, the water pressure was almost non existent, and if anyone else was using water it was even worse. Room was the only one on the floor that wasn't cleaned with all the others. We were asked when we were going to leave and we told them in a few minutes and...

San Diego, 2201 Hotel Circle South 🧭 Map
The breakfast was okay and better over the weekends. The daily supply of snacks and all round availability of Starbucks coffee was a plus. The Happy Hour engagements were also encouraging.
Helpful staff. Breakfast was really crowded, but we were there during spring break, so that's understandable. The parking spaces are way too narrow. The room was nice and fairly clean. Breakfast food was good and had nice variety. Location was convenient to get around town from.
Hotel in prime location. Very easy to access to major attractions. Free breakfast and dinner was great. Plenty to do around the hotel. All staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Only downside was no safe available, and little drawer space. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Overall would most definitely stay again.
Love it here! My son is a VERY picky eater and it's always stressful thinking of traveling and staying in a hotel since we can't prepare his food and have to count on take out and restaurants which he refuses to try at 3 years old. I was SO relieved when we stayed at Homewood Suites. They even have an in room toaster on their full mini kitchen. The fridge is full size which makes up for not having...
This brand new hotel has a very kind and professional staff. From the hotel managers to the housekeeping staff they all smile and treat you very well. They were able to accommodate a last minute crib request and went above and beyond for us. The rooms are amazing and have the modern conveniences and amenities. Very recommended!
My family had a wonderful stay here. Great location (close to downtown, the airport, SeaWorld, the Zoo). Staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The suite we had was super clean..looked brand new. The beds were comfortable and we just felt at home. The free breakfast exceeded my expectations by far. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Best Western PLUS Island Palms Hotel & Marina
San Diego, 2051 Shelter Island Drive 🧭 Map
It is a 3 star hotel and that’s what you get. The room is adequate but it’s quite bare for what you are paying. Body wash had run out, there was no toothbrush or slippers, lights were quite dim, the fan didn’t work. The room shows its age. Nevertheless, it is in a very scenic location. You’ll need to rent a car to take full advantage
The hotel is very big, and it takes some walking distance from the lobby to where you stay. The facilities are generally old, but it is still quiet.
I went to San Diego on a business trip and found a small hotel like a motel. A very bad experience was that the parking lot was right in front of the room... There were noises as I walked by, and the hotel check-in was slow. Although the room is old, it is clean. What I don't understand is that there is no mineral water in the room. You have to buy it separately. You have to go to the front desk to...
The hotel is located on a peninsula next to Shelter Island Marina, a yacht pier. It has charming scenery and elegant environment. You can enjoy the sunset at the door of the sea view room, and you can see the aircraft carriers of the naval base from the sea in front of the lobby. There are good seafood restaurants in the town and the hotel restaurant is also very good.
The room is on the seaside. The scenery is very beautiful. The lobby is grand. I sat on the seaside with a yacht for breakfast and was basking in the warm sunshine. It was very comfortable. However, the air conditioning and heating were very loud and noisy. The overall experience was satisfactory👍
It was a great experience for staying in Best Western Plus at Shelter Island. The location is lose to the airport, the old town and lots of scenic sites. Strong recommend.

Bed and room were great. did not use the pool. I did not like the covered large pillow on the bed as it looked unsanitary. Pillows with removeable covers would have been better.
The hotel was nice. Beautiful pool, spacious conference rooms. I liked that there was car rental inside the building. Right off the freeway so it it convenient.
I got the luxury suite by the pool. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't super fancy either. I'm torn on this review. The staff was split 50/50. I spoke to 4 staff members while I was there. Two were great, and two were terrible. Maybe they were just having a bad day.
The room was fine. The bed was fine. The pillows we're fine. The shower was fine. The food was fine.
Nothing stands out about this place to...
Very clean and such a comfortable bed it wad hard for me to get up! I stayed in the LA Jolla building which seemed new and or renovated. Secure parking was a plus! I ordered room service and it was delivered fresh & I enjoyed the food. I would stay again.
Loved our stay at the Handlery Hotel!! From the moment we stepped in the door we were greeted with such warmth and kindness! Jason the manager was so nice and professional! It was like meeting an old friend!! He upgraded our room and because we had to wait he gave us drink coupons so we meet Sandra who tended the bar and she was equally as nice and had a wealth of information on different restaurants...

The lobby was very clean, friendly staff who are willing to help you out for whatever you may need. Beds were pretty comfortable, has an outdoor pool in the center courtyard. Odd having to leave the lobby to get to rooms though. You also have to pay about $15 a night for parking (which is a bit nuts). Hot breakfast was exactly what you would expect, eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal.

Location is awesome! Close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, beaches, and more! The hotel is clean and comfortable. Good breakfasts in the mornings. I'm happy with my stay.
This hotel seems like the best kept secret for San Diego lodging at a reasonable price. I have stayed here many times and the service is good, rooms are clean, amenities are well maintained and the property is in an easy and quiet location. It is only 8 minutes from the airport and just over ten to the San Diego convention center. I brought my whole team here for our last convention and the staff were...
Got the two bedroom. The room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly. Parking spots are all very tight especially if you have a bigger car. This hotel was clean and convenient because it was near the airport. There are not many free breakfasts, but the quality was good, and it was good that there was always coffee available in the lobby.
James the airport shuttle driver did a great job! What an excellent employee. The lady that drove the shuttle also was great (late evening) was wonderful and I didn't get her name. The room was very clean, hotel was great and VERY convenient to the airport. Left too early for breakfast. I'd stay here again!
We were able to walk to the hotel from the airport. When we were checking in there were two huge charter buses (from a college marching band) in the parking lot. They checked us in quickly, gave us water and we were in our room and asleep within minutes. We slept well and had breakfast at the hotel before we took the shuttle back to the airport for our next flight. This hotel is convenient and comfortable...
Modern hotel that feels brand new. Friendly staff and amazing breakfast. This hotel has great AC system and did not have the typical hotel “odor”. We used the laundry service. The shower heads were low flow but usable and there is no good area to “drop off”. I would give this place a 10/10.
The receptionist was so nice she truly went above and beyond before we even reached our rooms. The beds are so comfortable I had the best sleep ever I didn't want to leave. The hotel is OK. The location is very good if you want to be close to Old Town, and it is also convenient to Ocean Beach and the rest of Point Loma.
My only complaint is parking. There isn't enough surface parking. If you park overnight in their garage, you will be charged $30. That's probably mentioned somewhere during check in, but I didn't catch it.
Pretty average but right in old town
Very close to the old town. We always come to this hotel every time we come to San Diego because we like to walk around the old town. Parking is also convenient. The walking distance is about two streets away. The service attitude is also good.
Yes, very close to the old town.
How should I put it? I think the hotel is OK in the old town, but the rooms are very old. Frankly speaking, they are a bit too old. However, the security is not a problem. Overall, it is OK.
Check-in at 1 am is OK, but the big bed was not cleaned, so I changed to a twin bed and it felt bigger. It is close to the road, so it is almost noisy. It was solid. Very reasonable pricing and the staff was accommodating and helpful. Can't complain about a complimentary continental breakfast with waffles, WiFi, and a nice place to sleep and shower.
Very clean hotel with updated rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms was clean and nice. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was good. My only complaint was that the air conditioner fan was uncalled it something and made noise all night. Nothing I couldn't get used to, but it was slightly annoying. I didn't get a chance to tell management or all for it to be fixed so I can't really complain
Check In and Check Out we're both smooth. Breakfast bar was always fresh with great service. Breakfast Each day varied. Pool and workout room was clean with fresh towels available. The hotel is either recently renovated or new, the rooms are a nice size and the bed is comfortable. It is nice they have a refrigerator in the room and new TVs as well. And there are plugs for days. Not somewhere for a romantic getaway, but nice for the business travel.
The hotel is clean and overall has great amenities with a nice breakfast. It's quiet and friendly. The only problem is there are not microwaves in the room. Nice and clean room. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is always freshly made and serve.
Got the jacuzzi room, great service and cleanliness. Would definitely stay here again. Just... add more towels to room, there aren't enough for the jacuzzi ?
My family and I stayed here for a few days and we were impressed by the hospitality of the employees and the clean, well maintained rooms. The options for breakfast were well appreciated, as my children are picky eaters. We also realized that we forgot my daughter's toothbrush, but the front desk provided a courtesy brush, so all was saved. It was definitely a pleasant stay.
Very clean, has the king suite and very spacious. Everything was wiped down and carpet was clean no marks and so was the microwave and the bed sheets. The patio to the pool is super cute and the only downside is the noise cause we were near the elevators and the fact that we had to pay for parking all 4 days we were here 18 every night
Clean area. Easy to find. Sufficient parking, but I could see it being a problem during conventions. Good service. Good breakfast. Good size room shower and bed. Only complaint is that my door wouldn't close all the way unless I pushed it closed. Other than that good stuff.
