We stayed 4 nights this month and highly recommend this facility! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, just a great environment! Also, a huge shout out to Cedric in Valet! He was so good to us! He was always smiling even after getting our car like 10 times a day! Thank you Cedric!! Thank you to all the staff!
I was very unsure about booking here after reading the reviews from previous guests. All I can say is that our stay has been very comfortable. Check-in was seamless and we even got a room on a higher floor (bay view) upon request. We've enjoyed our stay and will return when in the bay area.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can get one at HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Nice location. Nice view. room was small, but nice view. Had no hot water the day of check out. I had a late flight that day and needed to shower before I check out. The front desk was very dry when we called. Also very dry/rude when we tried to store our...
Staff was good. This is definitely an older property, but the beds were absolutely amazing! Staff was super friendly and always looking out for an tourist looking people ( you know the dazed what now look). 11/10 would stay here again. Amazing views of the bay, especially at night. However hotel management, one thing..... why do you not have a hot tub?
Basic room amenities. Fairly clean rooms but bed has lumpy linen. Uncomfortable to sleep on. Tv is small. No fridge. Pool had no towels when we went to the pool. Location was nice. Near the water. Room service was on time but some of the food was not hot.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Great location with all kinds of stuff to do within walking distance. Stayed in tower 3 ocean view side. Room is clean and only one large stain in carpet room 375. Great bed and pillows. Workout room is very small with only one bench and one set of dumbbells...
For the price, a free breakfast would be expected. Zen is a reliable 3rd party booking and got me a better rate than direct with the hotel. I advise calling the hotel before arriving to confirm the booking and get their reservation number.
Perfectly located for accessing the San Diego cruise port. Very comfortable bed. Decent bathroom. Nice balcony.

Great! Please continue to provide free breakfast with booking. It helps to compensate for the expensiveness of the hotel.
Vanessa was super awesome! She really made me feel at home. You couldn't ask for a better employee. Wonderful room and resort as well. Great location, but Vanessa made our stay special :)
The La Jolla Marriott is a nicely renovated property with an excellent staff. While the building itself is somewhat older, the rooms are to current Marriott standard and the lobby is recently redone. The lobby restaurant is passable. With shops and a large mall in walking distance, you're better off outside the facility. The staff has been great everytime I stay at the property.
Great hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. Parking is a bit pricey... 30/night for hotel guests. Free standard WiFi, only if you sign up for their membership (also free).
The day I went the local parking structures that typically charge were open so I was able to park nearby for free. I am not sure if you have to pay to park at the hotel but I assumed you did so I went to the free parking nearby. It was a very beautiful building with a lot of attention to detail and beautiful water features inside. There is a bar on the first floor in the lobby area and check-in station...
Excellent location, close to 2 freeways, minutes away from downtown La Jolla, at the doorstep of UCSD and many company HQs, easy to get to and from the airport, and across the street from a gorgeous mall with shopping and excellent dining. The rooms are beautifully renovated with all the modern touches. Restaurant and bar on-site with outdoor patio and fireplace, bartenders exceptionally attentive...

nice spacious room with everything you need, lovely bathroom with extra large shower. Attractive pool area, plenty of towels & sunbeds. Very friendly staff, couldn’t do enough for you.
The parking lot spaces are EXTREMELY narrow and the rooms have been neatly remodeled. Great location! This hotel definitely would do well for younger (20's-30's) guest. Wouldn't really recommend for guest looking for HIGHER END finishes or families with little children.
There is an odd smell that they attempt to cover up with some sort of room spray I've stayed there several times and I think I keep going back because they have a great Concierge Lounge for gold and platinum members.... Probably the best in the state well maybe Walnut Creek Marriott /Renaissance is actually better but San Diego Marriott Mission Valley is a close second.... But if you are not a gold...
Nice salt water pool. Lots of outside areas. Lounge has good selection of snacks and the breakfast includes made to order omelets. Convenient location. Parking and food and drinks higher priced than expected.
Beautiful place. The staff is also very friendly. It's very clean and has a warm, modern feel to it. There's a restaurant, gift shop with amenities, and the rooms actually have decent shampoo, conditioner, and soap! The location is also very convenient. You have quick access to the mall, and the freeway.
Liza is by far the most outstanding Bartender/Waitress I have ever had the pleasure of being served by at any Marriott Property. So natural and real. So caring with the customer. This is a lost art in today's customer service. Why not use this young lady as a teaching guide to other properties and what I call "from the heart customer service.

The rooms were inexpensive, the staff were very nice, everything about the stay was excellent. The quality of the room was very decent considering the price that was paid and was very conveniently located directly off the interstate. The restaurant had a decent selection and it's nice you don't have to leave the property to go grab some food everyone there was friendly more than willing to help. Great...
This was a great rate for a room in this location. Bathroom was clean with no spots or mold in tile or grout which is what I always look for. For what we paid the room was well outfitted and comfortable. WiFi worked very well and there was free parking. Didn't get to try amenities (fitness room, pool or jacuzzi) but they all looked fine when we passed them by.
Pretty nice place to stay for a few days when visiting San Diego. The bed (Queen size) is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has basic toiletries covered. Staff is friendly too. No complimentary water though. Overall very good value. Would probably stay here again.
Amazing American breakfast. Their french toast is the best i have ever had. The resort is very good except for sometimes creepy crawlies get into the room, even on the bed. It may be probably because of the lush greenery around, but gets a little scary.
Great hotel. There is no complimentary, but our room was cleaned and towels replenished every day. I loved all the lush vegetation along the walk ways. It gave it a jungle feel. The hot tub and heated outdoor pool was a nice touch too.
Nice location. Easy to access points of interest quickly from here. Bring your own pillow, these feel like tiny bags of fill ?. Rooms are very small, I guess you could say "cozy". Beds comfortable. A little disappointed there was no breakfast, had to re-figure my budget for a family of four. Everynight the lot was full,so I'm sure breakfast could be served even a continental breakfast. Room...

Good Courtyard, just minutes from some very cool areas in San Diego. Go up the hill behind the property and there is a great neighborhood to eat and maybe do a little shopping, maybe not a walk-able area for most as it's a mile uphill, but a really quick drive or cab. Rooms were very nice, the Lobby has a lot of space to hangout, the Restaurant is convenient and good, but not a destination.

Location is excellent, fantastic views from our room, the hotel rescue seals, because of their care they look very Healthy and content, so lovely to see them every morning, The pool area was very well equipped with plenty of loungers. Free parking.
We had options to stay at other hotels and VRBOs in Mission Beach, trying to get as close to the beach as possible. After consideration, we decided on Bahia. The location was perfect and only a few minutes walk to the beach and shops. An added benefit, we were on the bay and the front desk staff was terrific. The room was great. It had a kitchenette, which was restocked each day coffee (Keurig pods...
The rooms were tired and smelled musty. We were with a group occupying 5 different rooms. Three of our group moved rooms due to the smell and overall lack of cleanliness. The rooms are kinda old and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything! But they do have a quiet side with signs up. It only helps if you have quiet neighbors though. You can get your parking validated at the front desk. Location is great.
This is a large property separate into multiple buildings. If newer more modern is your preference make sure you are in the building where the lobby is. If you like a traditional California cozy room super quiet, but family friendly due to the better older construction. Example you can't hear foot falls in the room above you then pick a room in the other buildings. All the rooms are great and right...
Great place. Very nice, spacious rooms. All recently refurbished. The motel part is less, so you may want to stay in the main building. Gym available 24hrs and a bar and restaurant are on the premises.
Friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful wooden blinds in the rooms. Convenient Airport Shuttle. No continental breakfast in the main building. Kids eat free in the a-la-carte breakfast.
It doesn't look like 5 star from the outside. Corporate doesn't rate itself as 5 star. However, I was without a single complaint during my 5 day stay. After receiving an upgrade (Hyatt Courtesy Card Holder perk) to a corner balcony room overlooking the marina, it was all consistently rewarding from there. The most friendly staff made every effort to accommodate with taxis and revommendations. The...

If you're looking for a great vibe and organized events for guests, this is the place to be. I stayed here for about a week and there were several social events with delicious BBQ and wine and beer that drew a lot of people. The rooms are clean and as updated as you'd expect, and feature all the things you'd expect a Residence Inn to have, like a full kitchen and extra space for a table and couch....
Clean and comfortable rooms at a great rate for La Jolla. The beds have just been replaced are are very comfortable. It is a full studio apartment style room with a full kitchen. Friendly staff with nice amenities. Everything was clean and the breakfast was great. This is the perfect place for long term guests or short term. They had a pool, basketball, exercise rooms and more. It was in an ideal location close to everything.
Very comfortable room and bed. Everything was clean and orderly. Check in was very polite and easy. The $18/day parking fee is a but of a turn off. The breakfast buffet is quite good. Plenty of options and the quality is adequate. Loved having a full kitchenette complete with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. We walked to several restaurants as well. I highly recommend it.
Amazing service, amenities, and resources! We only stayed one night, but the room had a full kitchen including pots and pans, cooking utensils, silverware, and dinnerware. The room we had was clean, functional and staying here is a great location to get to anywhere in San Diego. The A/C was either blowing constantly in your face, or we shut it off and it got stuffy. There is no happy median there. The reception was OK and you have to pay for parking on the premises. Internet is good though. The pool is only an incentive if you are there to hang out at the hotel - which...
The room and management was great. Easy access off of the highway and to all activities we had planned. Only downfall was the pool and hot tub. Pool was dirty but hot tub was completely disgusting. The fact that there were people in it made me sick. Water was so nasty you could smell it from 100 feet away. Then when you saw it there was no way to go in. It was green and clouded. Gross. Fix that.
The room was absolutely the best we have stayed in throughout our trip! We didn't get to go swimming or anything but the pool area was beautiful. Very clean and I would highly recommend it.
My stay was very convenient! I was attending the Plant and Animal Genomics Conference for the week. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the conference center. The room had the essentials and staff was nice. The location allowed me to experience most things within walking distance or a short drive.
Pros: The room was quite comfortable with central temperature control and I loved that. The bed was comfortable. There was a convenient shuttle service available - I just wish it would have been easily bookable at the time needed without advance planning. Fruit at breakfast was a welcome addition. Coffee was good with the hazelnut creamer :) Would be happy to stay here again (wish the breakfast would...

Very nice, modern hotel. Great for traveling with kids. Has a microwave, dishwasher, plates, cups, silverware which are great to have. The bathroom is very nice. Room was clean. The breakfast was okay and better over the weekends. The daily supply of snacks and all round availability of Starbucks coffee was a plus. The Happy Hour engagements were also encouraging.
Helpful staff. Breakfast was really crowded, but we were there during spring break, so that's understandable. The parking spaces are way too narrow. The room was nice and fairly clean. Breakfast food was good and had nice variety. Location was convenient to get around town from.
Hotel in prime location. Very easy to access to major attractions. Free breakfast and dinner was great. Plenty to do around the hotel. All staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Only downside was no safe available, and little drawer space. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Overall would most definitely stay again.
Love it here! My son is a VERY picky eater and it's always stressful thinking of traveling and staying in a hotel since we can't prepare his food and have to count on take out and restaurants which he refuses to try at 3 years old. This brand new hotel has a very kind and professional staff. From the hotel managers to the housekeeping staff they all smile and treat you very well. They were able to accommodate a last minute crib request and went above and beyond for us. The rooms are amazing and have the modern conveniences and amenities. Very recommended!
My family had a wonderful stay here. Great location (close to downtown, the airport, SeaWorld, the Zoo). Staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. Great location especially if you are going on a cruise. We stayed in a corner studio and the views is lovely. The staff is really friendly.
The hotel was beautiful. For families with small children however, there were two drawbacks. First, no tub which makes bathing baby more challenging. Second, though stylish, the bathroom door rolls open and has opaque glass. This means when someone uses it at night and turns on the light, the room also gets bright. Also it was easy for my toddler to open it (no way to lock the door) meaning no privacy
Made me wait from 1 pm to check in at 3 pm after a 24 hour flight. Reception not really nice at all. Room was good though. Spacious and clean. Best thing is that it has a bright laundry room with TV which is not in a scary location like the basement. The breakfast staff were friendly and generous.
Went with the family had a great time. Very clean Hotel with a pool on the 5th floor overlooking the downtown cityscape, amazing views. Look forward to going back during baseball season. The breakfast buffet also differs every morning but has the main Staples and really great coffee. Course there are many attractions downtown for which it is closed along with a large kids park just down the street...
Amazing location. Parking a bit over priced. Free Street parking not too far away! Breakfast food quality was definitely better than expectation. Lydia from the cafeteria was so kind to my toddler aged daughters. Seriously unbeatable service!

Staff is excellent, location was great since it was nearby essentially everything. No complaints about anything whether it's the room, hall, design or anything. Just nothing particularly memorable which holds it from a 5 star rating. But really great overall.
Beautiful historic building that was once a bank. Hardwood doors and marble lines hallways are a reminder that not many places are built like this anymore. This is the best Courtyard I have ever stayed at. I've stayed here several times throughout the past three years when I travel to the San Diego area for work and will continue to do so in the future. Comfy bed, nice bath, but don’t expect a true hotel experience, good ocean views, a lively bar (or easy beach access). This Indigo’s not a hotel but a motel, with loud AC units and no elevator (so staying on a higher floor means also dragging your luggage up several sets of stairs). Because the staff was super helpful on the phone to help me make a booking adjustment (from using a IHG certificate to cash payment) that is past change due date. He didn't have to but he went above and beyond to help me. I forgot his name, he was on a night shift around 8-9pm. Thank you! When I arrived, all the staff were nice too and smooth...
This hotel was absolutely stunning! The pool and Jacuzzi are beautiful overlooking the water. The Architecture is fascinating and you can almost get lost in the maze of buildings. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and I could not stop taking pictures.

Bed and room were great. did not use the pool. I did not like the covered large pillow on the bed as it looked unsanitary. Pillows with removeable covers would have been better.
The hotel was nice. Beautiful pool, spacious conference rooms. I liked that there was car rental inside the building. Right off the freeway so it it convenient.
I got the luxury suite by the pool. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't super fancy either. I'm torn on this review. The staff was split 50/50. I spoke to 4 staff members while I was there. Two were great, and two were terrible. Maybe they were just having a bad day. The room was fine. The bed was fine. The pillows we're fine. The shower was fine. The food was fine. Nothing stands out about this place to...
Very clean and such a comfortable bed it wad hard for me to get up! I stayed in the LA Jolla building which seemed new and or renovated. Secure parking was a plus! I ordered room service and it was delivered fresh & I enjoyed the food. I would stay again.
Loved our stay at the Handlery Hotel!! From the moment we stepped in the door we were greeted with such warmth and kindness! Jason the manager was so nice and professional! It was like meeting an old friend!! He upgraded our room and because we had to wait he gave us drink coupons so we meet Sandra who tended the bar and she was equally as nice and had a wealth of information on different restaurants...
I went to attend Edward G's jam session, which was amazing. Great people, great place, especially for allowing such good music to be played in the lounge. Definitely would go again. The bar was nice too.

Well equipped rooms, with fridges and small balconies. Hotel staff extremely friendly. They are currently renovating the floor I'm on, which usually is a disaster while staying at a hotel. However they've seemed to make it work.
We stayed for a night in early January. When we got to Yuma the next day, I realized I had left my phone charger and cord behind. This was the first day of an extended trip, so I bought another. When we got back to San Diego 2 months later, I stopped at the Harbor Hilton, and they were able to locate and return the charger to me. TWO months! I'm impressed! And it was a nice stay originally. We will...
Pretty disappointed with this hotel. Stayed here last weekend. Ducks were in the pool and they left poo all over the bottom of the pool over the course of 2 hours. Front desk staff experience was not great. Room was fine but hallways need renovated. I don't plan on returning. I don't stay with Hilton often, and this hotel is representative of why I don't.
This was actually the second time I had stayed at this lovely Harbor Island Hotel and enjoyed it as much as the first time. You either have views of the harbor or marina...each room has a nice little balcony. The higher the floor, the better view. Staff all around was wonderful, the rooms big and comfortable. They have an on-site restaurant and bar plus a free shuttle to the airport.
We stayed one night before heading to Hawaii. The shuttle picked us up at the airport and a shuttle was offered to the downtown area at set pickup/dropoff times. Great view of the water, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and an overall great location. For gold members there was an upgrade to the hot breakfast which seems to defer by property but breakfast was good. We had drinks in the lounge which...
Beautiful hotel in fabulous surroundings. This hotel is close to the airport with regularly running shuttle service. Our room overlooked the marina, which was beautiful from the balcony. Excellent hotel and staff. We would highly recommend it!!
