Was very nice, plenty of room for our large family of 6. Rooms clean and up to date. Very annoying that we HAD TO PAY TO PARK at the hotel. If you are a paying guest it should be included.
Decent place. But my TV was not working. Called reception and they told me will send someone but no one came 1st night. Somebody came 2nd night but couldn't fix. He said he will ask reception to check if there is another room but never got back. Parking is 13$ Xtra per day but there is plenty of street parking
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Comfortable rooms, the hotel is in a strange layout in that the breakfast room is on the fourth floor, but it works. The breakfast is great with a good variety. It was great! Staff was very friendly and courteous. Rooms and hallways were very clean. Our room was super clean and fresh smelling. Will definitely stay here again while in San Diego!
Loved our stay here! Friendly staff, neat and spacious room (we stayed on the one with Sofa) and clean bathroom. Hotel is very close to sea world. Family friendly. Offers free breakfast (lines here could get longer though). Would definitely consider staying here again.
Comfortable rooms, the hotel is in a strange layout in that the breakfast room is on the fourth floor, but it works. The breakfast is great with a good variety. The rooms are clean, smell nice and are relatively quite in spite of being located close to the highway. They only change towels every third day of your stay so you have to ask if you want them more often, which isn't a deal breaker. We loved...

Perfect location for cruisers, our Ship was across street! Quiet and comfortable. Recommended.
We stayed 4 nights this month and highly recommend this facility! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, just a great environment! Also, a huge shout out to Cedric in Valet! He was so good to us! He was always smiling even after getting our car like 10 times a day! Thank you Cedric!! Thank you to all the staff!
I was very unsure about booking here after reading the reviews from previous guests. All I can say is that our stay has been very comfortable. Check-in was seamless and we even got a room on a higher floor (bay view) upon request. We've enjoyed our stay and will return when in the bay area.
Lovely hotel. Close to airport and right by the Marina. Easy access to tram and dining options.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can get one at HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Nice location. Nice view. room was small, but nice view. Had no hot water the day of check out. I had a late flight that day and needed to shower before I check out. The front desk was very dry when we called. Also very dry/rude when we tried to store our...
Staff was good. This is definitely an older property, but the beds were absolutely amazing! Staff was super friendly and always looking out for an tourist looking people ( you know the dazed what now look). 11/10 would stay here again. Amazing views of the bay, especially at night. However hotel management, one thing..... why do you not have a hot tub?
For the price, a free breakfast would be expected. Zen is a reliable 3rd party booking and got me a better rate than direct with the hotel. I advise calling the hotel before arriving to confirm the booking and get their reservation number.
Perfectly located for accessing the San Diego cruise port. Very comfortable bed. Decent bathroom. Nice balcony.

the breakfast was excellent! the parking was convenient but expensive. the room was spacious but dated. the paneling in the bathroom was falling apart!
Rooms are huge! But nit only that, they ate confortable and very clean. Pillows are waaay ti soft for my wife's and my taste, but i think this is something personal. They have happy hour with free appetizers and a drink. Right across from high end shopping center.
Great family oriented hotel with great perks! Comp happy hour from 5 to 7 and great made to order breakfast included! Great location!
We really enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. The hotel at the time was offering a free breakfast which if you wanted to wait in line could be made to order including omelettes and pancakes. If you decide to get the made to order.. it is a good idea to get there first thing when the Line opens. If you don't care about the maid to order then it is just fine 2 get from the buffet or when they are...
Nice Embassy Suites and I stay here often for work. Friendly staff and appears to be kid friendly. Offers a shuttle within 5 mile radius. Rooms are clean and well kept. Westfield Mall is directly across the street and good location between the 805 and the 5.
Nice place. They made me feel welcome with their friendliness and hospitality. The suite was nice but for the age of the place it seemed dark. Because there aren't lots of options in the area, it's probably one of the better places.

Really enjoyed our stay. Love the on-demand shuttle service within 5 mile radius! Didn't need a car. The staff was really helpful and friendly.
Very nice location near the racetrack and the beach (would be a long walk). The hotel pool parties are nice and the convention area was spacious. Parking was a little tight but there was ample parking next door at the fairgrounds
It's clean and basic. Staff is nice. The rooms and common areas decor feels really dated (90s "modern") the pool and patio we didn't get to use because there were event both nights and they were both really crowded with people.
I was here for work and everything went smoothly. The banquets and sales staff were great. The front desk staff was very professional and helpful. My room was clean...noise was minimal. Overall, great experience and stay.
Happily allowed us to check in early. Pet friendly, front desk greeted our puppy like a guest and gave her a stuffed toy. Staff was amazingly friendly at every turn. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Room was clean and stylish with an adorable balcony overlooking the pool and Jacuzzi. Cute "backyard" surrounding pool with areas to lounge. This hotel was clean and convenient because it was near the airport. There are not many free breakfasts, but the quality was good, and it was good that there was always coffee available in the lobby.
James the airport shuttle driver did a great job! What an excellent employee. The lady that drove the shuttle also was great (late evening) was wonderful and I didn't get her name. The room was very clean, hotel was great and VERY convenient to the airport. Left too early for breakfast. I'd stay here again!
We were able to walk to the hotel from the airport. When we were checking in there were two huge charter buses (from a college marching band) in the parking lot. They checked us in quickly, gave us water and we were in our room and asleep within minutes. We slept well and had breakfast at the hotel before we took the shuttle back to the airport for our next flight. This hotel is convenient and comfortable...
Modern hotel that feels brand new. Friendly staff and amazing breakfast. This hotel has great AC system and did not have the typical hotel “odor”. We used the laundry service. The shower heads were low flow but usable and there is no good area to “drop off”. I would give this place a 10/10.
The receptionist was so nice she truly went above and beyond before we even reached our rooms. The beds are so comfortable I had the best sleep ever I didn't want to leave. The sheets were really clean too. And the location. Was perfect. I walked from the airport to the hotel it was maybe 15 minutes but not a bad walk. My room was across from the Spanish landing so the view was so beautiful. The breakfast...
We stayed here one night after our flight has a layover. The shuttle was prompt to and from. Both times we had a very friendly driver which is pleasant after long wait at the airport with unexpected change of plans. The staff was also very courteous. Our family of 4 stayed at the Dana for 9 nights! It was amazing and we would go back in a heartbeat!!! Everything was very clean which I love! The people that work at the Dana are very helpful and kind. I would have been fine with spending all my time on Mission beach and old town San Diego! Amazing time!!!!
Very nice place. No complaints at all. Beautiful views. Nice pool and jacuzzi. When I was staying here they had movie night at the pool. You could swim in the pool and watch whatever movie they showed for that evening.
The property was clewn, the staff friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the pool over the marina as well so as the restaurant over the pool and marina. Was a little concerned about being a little ways away from beach but beach parking was not as bad as I had remembered. The landscaping with trees and bushes added to a very comfortable atmosphere.

The rooms are kinda old and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything! But they do have a quiet side with signs up. It only helps if you have quiet neighbors though. You can get your parking validated at the front desk. Location is great.
This is a large property separate into multiple buildings. If newer more modern is your preference make sure you are in the building where the lobby is. If you like a traditional California cozy room super quiet, but family friendly due to the better older construction. Example you can't hear foot falls in the room above you then pick a room in the other buildings. All the rooms are great and right...
Great place. Very nice, spacious rooms. All recently refurbished. The motel part is less, so you may want to stay in the main building. Gym available 24hrs and a bar and restaurant are on the premises.
Friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful wooden blinds in the rooms. Convenient Airport Shuttle. No continental breakfast in the main building. Kids eat free in the a-la-carte breakfast.
It doesn't look like 5 star from the outside. Corporate doesn't rate itself as 5 star. However, I was without a single complaint during my 5 day stay. After receiving an upgrade (Hyatt Courtesy Card Holder perk) to a corner balcony room overlooking the marina, it was all consistently rewarding from there. The most friendly staff made every effort to accommodate with taxis and revommendations. The...
Got locked of the hotel room because the lock lost battery. Didn't get anything more than an I'm sorry as an inconvenience. Stayed one night at the DoubleTree in late April. Pool was warm enough to swim, and they have a 1ft wading pool which is perfect for children. Location is good and easy to find. Wasn't impressed with the drink special at the bar, but the back patio is perfect in the evening. Rooms are what you expect from this kind of hotel.
The room was beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. The shuttle driver was the best by far and they give you a delicious cookie at check-in!
Nice and updated. Friendly staff. Didn't care for the pillows and I had trouble getting the room cool enough to sleep.
This property is very nice. the pool area is nice and big fitness center was small as most are but nice. room was good minus not having a fridge. however service was sub par. we used or digital key so we could avoid the front desk and go straight to the room. this is what we do everytime digital key is offered. The breakfast was okay and better over the weekends. The daily supply of snacks and all round availability of Starbucks coffee was a plus. The Happy Hour engagements were also encouraging.
Helpful staff. Breakfast was really crowded, but we were there during spring break, so that's understandable. The parking spaces are way too narrow. The room was nice and fairly clean. Breakfast food was good and had nice variety. Location was convenient to get around town from.
Hotel in prime location. Very easy to access to major attractions. Free breakfast and dinner was great. Plenty to do around the hotel. All staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Only downside was no safe available, and little drawer space. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Overall would most definitely stay again.
Love it here! My son is a VERY picky eater and it's always stressful thinking of traveling and staying in a hotel since we can't prepare his food and have to count on take out and restaurants which he refuses to try at 3 years old. I was SO relieved when we stayed at Homewood Suites. They even have an in room toaster on their full mini kitchen. The fridge is full size which makes up for not having...
This brand new hotel has a very kind and professional staff. From the hotel managers to the housekeeping staff they all smile and treat you very well. They were able to accommodate a last minute crib request and went above and beyond for us. The rooms are amazing and have the modern conveniences and amenities. Very recommended!
My family had a wonderful stay here. Great location (close to downtown, the airport, SeaWorld, the Zoo). Staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The location is very accessible to the freeway. The shops are very close by and party all night can be in the hotel restaurant or outside and walk back. The rooms are neat. The BEDS ARE BLOODY COMFORTABLE. The service is good. I am not sure why they do not have exhaust fan in the restroom. Also, why the overnight staying guest need to pay for parking? That is unheard of. The TV is slow in responding...
We enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are beautiful, and the room is spacious and clean. The only negative, was paying $20 per night to park.
The area is peaceful and quiet. The hotel exterior looks a little dated but the inside rooms are recently renovated with very comfortable beds and amenities. The perimeter of the hotel is nothing to look at but the inside courtyard is beautiful and well maintained. This is a nice place to stay if you need to get some rest.
When I booked our stay at the Sheraton La Jolla hotel, I mistakenly thought the hotel was in the center of the town (closer to the beach). When we first pulled into the location, I was disappointed that it was close to the highway. We ended up being very happy with the location! It was a quick trip to the Zoo and Sea World and only a 10 minute drive to the beach. It was a convenient location with many...
We've stayed here three times in the past year and experienced a range of rooms. Decoration in all the rooms is a bit tired but they have the Sheraton signature bed which makes them comfortable and they have always been clean and tidy. This was a great rate for a room in this location. Bathroom was clean with no spots or mold in tile or grout which is what I always look for. For what we paid the room was well outfitted and comfortable. WiFi worked very well and there was free parking. Didn't get to try amenities (fitness room, pool or jacuzzi) but they all looked fine when we passed them by.
Pretty nice place to stay for a few days when visiting San Diego. The bed (Queen size) is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has basic toiletries covered. Staff is friendly too. No complimentary water though. Overall very good value. Would probably stay here again.
Amazing American breakfast. Their french toast is the best i have ever had. The resort is very good except for sometimes creepy crawlies get into the room, even on the bed. It may be probably because of the lush greenery around, but gets a little scary.
Great hotel. There is no complimentary, but our room was cleaned and towels replenished every day. I loved all the lush vegetation along the walk ways. It gave it a jungle feel. The hot tub and heated outdoor pool was a nice touch too.
Nice location. Easy to access points of interest quickly from here. Bring your own pillow, these feel like tiny bags of fill ?. Rooms are very small, I guess you could say "cozy". Beds comfortable. Nice rooms, with a full kitchen as expected. Pool is nicely heated. Breakfast was better than most hotels in this class. Hotel Internet isn't good. Overall, it was a fine stay, but bring unable to deliver basic internet as advertised is an issue
Room was huge. Beautiful room, well taken care off. The staff was professional and very attentive. Would stay there again. Loved the complimentary breakfast and dinner
Staff was generally friendly. Rooms are clean and included breakfast buffet and on some nights, dinner buffet. The charge to park was unexpected. Also, some policies were strange. Location is awesome! Close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, beaches, and more! The hotel is clean and comfortable. Good breakfasts in the mornings. I'm happy with my stay.
This hotel seems like the best kept secret for San Diego lodging at a reasonable price. I have stayed here many times and the service is good, rooms are clean, amenities are well maintained and the property is in an easy and quiet location. Proximity to the Old Town, Very early checkin. Nice beds. Beautiful design
Wonderful rooms. Normal level of amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would have appreciated a slightly more clear sign/notification regarding breakfast (a normal appearing "continental" breakfast that is often included in many hotels of this caliber) as an additional cost.
I didn't think it was too pricey for a Hilton but it was getting up there. It's a really nice location for walking into Old Town if you're 106 years old and that's where you like to party. If you're looking for night life though go somewhere else.
The front desk really stands out at this property. Britton, the manager, runs a tight ship and handled with dispatch a problem they were having with a miscreant guest. I really love this hotel. Great staff, great rooms, and the shower is unbelievable. Seriously though. The staff here goes out of their way to make you feel at home. As someone who is travelling for work more weekends than not, I truly appreciate the atmosphere they create here. It's friendly without being oppressive. Keep it up and I'll be back!

I found the basic rooms to very outdated, did not appear to have any upgrades in the past 20 years. The door frame to the room, I most recently stayed in, looked like it had been kicked...
Good location. Very nice staff. Very clean. Too many stairs take you out onto the streets of Old Town San Diego! Nice place, day and night. If you need to be in San Diego for an extended period: this is the best place to stay. The view is great. The freeway access is reasonable.
I love the way the hotel looks, rooms are rustic but cozy. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants/Old Town San Diego. Parking was $20 a night, which is a negative to me, but there is little to no street parking available due to the popular resort area. Complimentary water bottles, 2 per day. I received 2 complimentary drink vouchers for the bar. :)
My wife and I love this place. Its located in the middle of old town built into the hillsides very beautiful and walking distance to Everything. Shops restaurants and bars. The staff is friendly rooms are nice and comfy. We highly recommend it. I've been coming here for 30 years.

We came in as a group, booked months in advance, and they had everyone a very large distance apart. The way the hotel is set up, it can be quite a distance and confusing getting to all the elevators to find your room. We had several elderly folks with our group, and...
The Best Western Hacienda is very conveniently located in Old Town San Diego. It is also close to public transportation into downtown San Diego. The hotel is clean and well appointed. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The on-site restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced. All in all the Hacienda is a very good value.
