Very family friendly, and nice modern rooms. Convenient to locations on Coronado island, but have to make a crossing otherwise. Kids will love the pool. You'll also see military helicopters always flying nearby due to the naval air station nearby.

Beautiful view of the San Diego skyline, and a wonderful staff that had such a positive attitude. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The pool was awesome. You could spend an entire trip at that pool and be pleased. Everything was top notch except the ridiculously high priced menu items offered for room service.

Guest service was excellent, from the valet to the front desk to the restaurant servers and more. The hotel and room (which had an amazing view by the way) were very clean. This is my go to place when I travel to San Diego. The hotel is incredible. The staff is really friendly and helpful. There place is always clean and the views of Coronado and the bay are incredible. If you ever have a chance, you must attend the New Years Eve party here. There is nothing like it!

Beautiful area with awesome firepits overlooking the boat arena. A great place to stay if you want to disconnect from things, but still be close enough to drive to activities. However it is pretty far from anything if you like to go out walking to explore the area.

Great location right off Shelter Island and I had a very pleasant stay, but it definitely shows signs of it's age. The phone in my room looked and worked as if it was from the 90s. Although it has a great view off the peninsula it feels pretty isolated, you need a car to get anywhere.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in December. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful when making reservation for restaurants and planning activities. The rooms were well maintained and had great views. Great bar. I have only visited in the evening, well after the restaurant closed.The bar is a very nice place for a drink and some really good, late night food. Had a wonderful 4 days at Loews Coronado and plan to return next summer. Beautiful grounds and surroundings. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I only spent a short amount of time here but the staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The interior has a very modern look to it. The room I visited was fairly spacious. The only negative comment I have is that finding parking at this location was a tad difficult. It may be easier if you are actually staying at this hotel but as I was visiting a friend, it was difficult to find on street parking

The experience was quite good. Room was clean. Check-in and Check-out were painless. Decent bar, reception area. We did get a bit mixed-up between this hotel and another Westin 3 blocks down the same main street. That one is a little closer to the Gaslamp, if that's in your plans.

This review is for coffee/cafe area only. Stopped by to have coffee with some colleagues while in town. Grabbed coffee and banana bread. Both were good and fairly priced - about what you would pay at Starbucks or Peet's. Seating was plentiful and the space was pretty quiet even with other tables occupied. The Westin is attached to an office building so I assume it caters mainly to business crowd.

The room was a good size. Two Queen beds. When I emailed the hotel to mention our other son was joining us for two nights. The hotel moved our booking to a larger room to enable us to have a roll bed for our son. The room overlooked the Baseball stadium. The location is great for visiting the stadium, and the rest of the city. Valet parking was superb.

Location is ok but for the price a small fridge and pool would be have been nice for a 5 day stay at this price point. The carpet is sticky and has many stains so keep your shoes on. A strong positive is that they allowed for an early check- in (flight arrived at 10am) with no additional charge.

This place never disappoints. Always hustling and bustling. Social distancing is iffy. But I guess mostly everyone was vaccinated at this time. We stayed here for just one night at one of the suites. The room was nice and had a nice view over the city on the 12th floor. They have a nice pool and cafe area with some entertainment activities like ping pong table. I didn't like the grilled chicken sandwich by the pool. Overall it is great, we had breakfast included in our booking. The room is good, service is good, but they really need to do something about flies in their breakfast buffet room. We saw fruit flies on the bread when we tried to take tongs from the bread plate on day one, on day two, the bread was covered, but there was a big fly on the ham, after that, we don’t want to have any food there.

Great staff. Valet gets a bit busy at peak times but they hustle. Rooms are good. Clean. Showers are awesome. Comfortable beds. Kimpton does sometimes but no coffee in the room. Minor issue. Wifi is fast. Pool is nice.. workout /gym is good. Would recommend.

This was the view from our room! The staff was great! The rooms were clean and smelled fresh when we walked in. This is near the airport but we really couldn’t hear the noise! I enjoyed watching the planes! Also, they are pet friendly, I think, they are near a nice dog park! I wish I had known because I left my puppy with family when I could have brought her with me!
