Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa
San Diego, 2000 Second Street 🧭 Map
3rd floor, pool/bay side. Excellent experience.
Great location. With in walking distance to restaurants and a few small beaches. Also not very far from the main Beach at Coronado. Rooms were also very clean and spacious. I will be coming back to the hotel many times to come
Spent a night there for our anniversary. Ground floor room was large, clean, a short walk to all the amenities and had a great view of the San Diego skyline from the private patio. We had all of our meals at the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey but the choice is worth it if you have a good appetite. Made use of the included bike rental to burn off some...
Very family friendly, and nice modern rooms. Convenient to locations on Coronado island, but have to make a crossing otherwise. Kids will love the pool. You'll also see military helicopters always flying nearby due to the naval air station nearby.
Beautiful view of the San Diego skyline, and a wonderful staff that had such a positive attitude. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The pool was awesome. You could spend an entire trip at that pool and be pleased. Everything was top notch except the ridiculously high priced menu items offered for room service.
Excellent location. Very nice rooms. Lots of little shops and places to eat within walking distance. Access to ferry to downtown within walking distance. Only reason it's not a 5 is because of the insane mark-up on snacks and drinks. Pro tip: the vending machine Gatorade is $2.50; at the gym? $5.

Context: Stayed her for 2 nights while attending a conference. Someone else was paying. Positives: Impressive entrances. Comfortable space. Room window opened. Negatives: Pretty basic shower. Everything about the hotel was super expensive. Notes: Interesting views over the naval base - I've not seen aircraft carriers in real life before. Summary: If you can afford to stay here, it's probably a...
I was here for a business conference. Rooms are quiet and the windows open which is nice to let fresh air in. They don’t use fragrance or air fresheners in lobby and common areas which is great since I find them bothersome. Beds and pillows super comfortable. A special shout out to Annabelle. The housekeeper who serviced my room. She was so nice and friendly and even had a robe and slippers delivered...
I had the chance to spend four days at this hotel for a conference in September 2023, marking my first visit to San Diego, CA. Prior to my arrival, I had already booked two cruise voyages. When I arrived at the hotel on Sunday morning around 8am, although check-in was scheduled for 4pm, they pleasantly surprised me by providing the room eight hours earlier. This flexibility was much appreciated! After...
The view was spectacular. I could sit and look out these windows over the harbor all day long! I love the fact that the scenery changes with every boat/ship that goes by. City lights at night were equally spectacular. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub while attending a conference here. Lots of restaurants, walking distance. Fantastic experience!
I stayed here for an Insurance Convention. When I arrived my room was ready and was upgraded to a higher floor with a great view. I ate the first night at the Landing which I had a grilled chicken Cesar Salad. It was pretty good with plenty of chicken. The only thing I would suggest is having the Cesar dressing already mixed in, I really don’t like mixing it myself as the bowl was filled high with...
Really enjoyed our stay! Really friendly staff. Zach gave us great suggestions and Nick was a great help as well. Great view, best location to the seaport and gas lamp, and walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. The beds are very comfortable and the hotel is very clean. Beautiful views of the bay with many amenities! Will come back and stay here again and recommend 10/10.

Recently stayed at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. The location is right by the water, couple of restaurants at walking distance. There’s a USS Midway aircraft carrier museum nearby to walk to as well. I stayed at a basic room in the North Tower. Rooms are big with wide balcony facing the street. Good rooms decor and space. Bed is comfy. Bathroom doesn’t have exhaust fan. Balconies have small...
During my recent stay, I had the privilege of encountering Jeremy, the valet guy, and I can't say enough good things about him. Jeremy's kindness and willingness to go the extra mile in helping me locate my misplaced belongings truly made my trip memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend Jeremy and the place he represents for an exceptional stay. Thanks to a good experience that made my stay wonderful
Nice resort with a gorgeous pool area. Rooms are modern and clean with daily housekeeping services. The property has several restaurants onsite but is also within walking distance of many more. The pool area has a tropical feel along with 2 hot tubs. The pool bar offers drinks and food at a reasonable price.
The Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina epitomizes Southern California charm in the most elegant way. Perfectly positioned at the heart of the vibrant city, this hotel offers a spectacular vantage point to the shimmering marina, a sight that serves as a delightful backdrop during both sunrise and sunset. One of the standout features of the hotel is its unbeatable location. Nestled right by the bay,...
This is a very large bowl and conference center. The staff was very attentive and responsive. Our room was on the 8 th floor of the south tower with a view overlooking the bay and the swimming pool area. There are several restaurants and many different shops. Such a nice grand hotel. We were on the top floor overlooking the city line. Friendly & courteous staff, and so much to do locally & in the hotel. Was definitely a nice weekend stay. Very nice pool/ outdoor area. Definitely will be back.

Guest service was excellent, from the valet to the front desk to the restaurant servers and more. The hotel and room (which had an amazing view by the way) were very clean. Food and drinks were great. They provided a cradle (not a toy) for my baby. The lobby was colorful and stylishly quirky. I would definitely stay there again.
Our family visited the HOTEL FROM HELL on our last trip to San Diego. Before leaving, we decided to find another hotel where everyone could enjoy good taste. THANK YOU, we found this gem. From the very beginning we had a wonderful experience. We made the reservation with Ashley who was at the front desk. She was very kind and accommodating to our crazy kids. She truly made the experience wonderful...
Nice space/room. Nice views. Conveniently located. Decent parking options (for a downtown hotel). Decent outside pool area. Overpriced would be an understatement, however... Only so-so food choices at the hotel itself - and again, overpriced. But the local area has so much to offer food-wise, you can just about overlook that...
Absolutely beautiful hotel inside and out.. the lounge areas, pool areas and surrounding ocean views are stunning..the rooms are very nice and very clean..the only downside is that there is no mini fridge to keep drinks cool. Very central area for walking to the local shops and restaurants in the Gaslamp district...recommend a taxi if you would like to visit the Little Italy District but well worth...
This is my go to place when I travel to San Diego. The hotel is incredible. The staff is really friendly and helpful. There place is always clean and the views of Coronado and the bay are incredible. If you ever have a chance, you must attend the New Years Eve party here. There is nothing like it!
Should be 5 stars but there were a few things off when we went. The room I wasn't THAT impressed with out of such a high spending place like the Hilton. The views were absolutely breathtaking. At night... BE PREPARED to hear big booms and such all night long from the boats being loaded with containers. If you at all have the chance book the north west side of the hotel as most of the container ships...

Great experience, stayed for 7 nights and slept like a baby.) Very good service, clean rooms. Delicious food in the restaurants, coffee in the lobby - everything you need to feel at home. The only thing is in the parking lot you have to use your room key to get in and out and the "blue dot" is sort of low to the ground and you have to get out of the car to unlock it if you have an SUV or...
A very good holiday for your money. My room was a little small, but the balcony and view were very relaxing and private. You see planes landing. They have 1 hour free bike rental which can be extended for $8/hour. Water skiing, whale tours. The police station in the block is patrolled, it is safe to walk/drive within a 3 mile radius. The airport is across the street, so don't worry about missing...
They took care of a clean and beautiful place where we can comfortably accommodate. I liked the way we were placed. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. I had a great time staying at this prestigious hotel. I highly recommend it to everyone.
It was a good experience for me for the first time. This amazing hotel won my heart! I will give this place my "5" rating for the great and awesome help they gave me. They deserve high marks! Unbelievable place! Perfect location far from the crowd. Very friendly staff. Nice rooms, and very very dog friendly. Yes there are ants but it's expected near the ocean. Love this place! I don't think we'll stay anywhere else.
Found a great deal on this hotel that was recommended by a friend. After 2 years of looking but a reasonable rate finally opened up. No issues checking in. View of the marina. Easy accessible pool and private beach. Can't speak for the people on the far side but we were right there. Only thing, we ordered dessert they said it would be 45 minutes but it took over an hour. We had dinner at the Vessel and it was great. The variety of food was good and the drinks were very unique. They even had a live band playing and there was no fee to listen. The service was outstanding. We really enjoyed the restaurant.
Beautiful area with awesome firepits overlooking the boat arena. A great place to stay if you want to disconnect from things, but still be close enough to drive to activities. However it is pretty far from anything if you like to go out walking to explore the area.
Great location right off Shelter Island and I had a very pleasant stay, but it definitely shows signs of it's age. The phone in my room looked and worked as if it was from the 90s. Although it has a great view off the peninsula it feels pretty isolated, you need a car to get anywhere.

A wonderful 3 night mini getaway in a room overlooking the marina! It was a quiet, clean, peaceful place where my two teenagers could do online learning in the mornings and swim in the pool in the afternoons. So far this has been a great trip. The check in was very smooth and we were greeted with a glass of champagne. the lobby was open and expansive with a great view of the Coronado Bay. We stayed in a king-size partial Bay View room. Everything about the room was great. We love the view, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing with a deep soaking tube that made my wife very happy!...
Pool is great for kids and the pool staff is amazing! They really care about guest having a good time and go above and beyond what is expected. We had an issue with drinks and a mix up with our lunch order but our host, Shannon, fixed it all! Shannon made us feel like family during our stay!! The room service is not a good option , they delay a lot and the food is not so good !
A variety of great restaurants to pick. A historic area with charming buildings and a great atmosphere.
Its exactly what you pay for. A hotel room right smack dab in the middle of the Gaslamp District. It's not too fancy but it's not run down either. The bathrooms and showers are shared, by that I mean there's a bathroom/shower on the floor but it's not actually connected to your room. All in all I would stay here again. It's a great place if you're in town for the weekend to party. Because let's be...
I stayed here for a week during my conference. It was an amazing experience. Affordable, historic, and walking distance from anywhere you may need to go. The host, Katherine, was so hospitable and helpful. Its very quiet for the area it is in, and rooms, showers, and restrooms are clean. I would absolutely stay again if i went back. I miss the beautiful patio overlooking the street already!!
Somewhere between hostel and hotel you have to love this place for what it is. Yes, you can hear the street easily and the shower / bathroom facilities are shared, but everything is clean and the individual running the front desk is personable and available. Affordable, great location

Great location ! It's really close to the train station and walkable to tourist attraction. The Room was a bit smaller than expected but really nice view. The club room is good.
We celebrated my birthday at Del Frisco's. Our waitress was absolutely darling. Her birthday was the same date as mine. Dinner and service was excellent.👌🏾👌🏾 We will be going back for sure!!😋😋😋
Beautiful spot, helpful staff. Easy to get to Midway and good restaurants. Scooters fun from here. Loved the Bayside nail place around the corner. Baby next door could be heard but not loud enough to deter sleep, so stay was good. Pool and deck was a nice view.

They have a breakfast buffet if you want to eat close by. Pool and hot tub closes at 10 located on 3rd floor. 24 hour access to fitness with ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and more. Heated towels are also available. Beds are cozy as are the comforters. Business center is convenient. $.65 per page to print 1st 15 minutes are free. Access to wifi via your room number.
I only spent a short amount of time here but the staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The interior has a very modern look to it. The room I visited was fairly spacious. The only negative comment I have is that finding parking at this location was a tad difficult. It may be easier if you are actually staying at this hotel but as I was visiting a friend, it was difficult to find on street parking
This hotel is amazing! The room was great, the service was excellent, and the location was prime for pretty much anything you could want to do. I absolutely loved my time in San Diego and can't wait to come back:)
The experience was quite good. Room was clean. Check-in and Check-out were painless. Decent bar, reception area. We did get a bit mixed-up between this hotel and another Westin 3 blocks down the same main street. That one is a little closer to the Gaslamp, if that's in your plans.
This review is for coffee/cafe area only. Stopped by to have coffee with some colleagues while in town. Grabbed coffee and banana bread. Both were good and fairly priced - about what you would pay at Starbucks or Peet's. Seating was plentiful and the space was pretty quiet even with other tables occupied. The Westin is attached to an office building so I assume it caters mainly to business crowd.

The room was a good size. Two Queen beds. When I emailed the hotel to mention our other son was joining us for two nights. The hotel moved our booking to a larger room to enable us to have a roll bed for our son. The room overlooked the Baseball stadium. The location is great for visiting the stadium, and the rest of the city. Valet parking was superb.
Location is ok but for the price a small fridge and pool would be have been nice for a 5 day stay at this price point. The carpet is sticky and has many stains so keep your shoes on. A strong positive is that they allowed for an early check- in (flight arrived at 10am) with no additional charge.
This place never disappoints. Always hustling and bustling. Social distancing is iffy. But I guess mostly everyone was vaccinated at this time. I loved the pubs.. but more importantly I really liked the roadside food you can grab such late in the night. They are delicious and pocket friendly. Must go place if you visit San Diego.

I was here recently for the IVAT conference. Though I wasn't able to secure a room in this hotel, all the other facilities that I used during the week were superb. Overall it is great, we had breakfast included in our booking. The room is good, service is good, but they really need to do something about flies in their breakfast buffet room. We saw fruit flies on the bread when we tried to take tongs from the bread plate on day one, on day two, the bread was covered, but there was a big fly on the ham, after that, we don’t want to have any food there.

It's a good hotel in a great location. The pools and hot tub were an excellent way to spend the evening. Be warned: be sure to consider the resort and parking fees in addition to the advertised nightly charge... And with parking at $38/day, it's a substantial difference. The employee who helped me get my bearings was a guy from New York! Small world. I'm a frequent traveler and this is one of the few hotels that literally took my breath away at first sight. I went on a solo trip and was completely content just walking around the property and thinking all weekend. The 1st floor has an open balcony from the first floor which offers the best view!
My mom wanted to take a vacation here to see the beach after a hard year. Unfortunately there were some issues, but I'm impressed with how professional this front desk staff is and Tim, the GM, is also amazing. Thank you for taking care of my mom during her stay. I really appreciate it.

Beautiful location right on the golf course and the ocean beyond! Staff is always great when I stay and very helpful. Rooms are nice considering the age of this property. Rooms are large and clean. Bed was super comfy. The only thing I didn't like was that there was a balcony but the door was nailed shut. A lot of hotels have balcony's but aren't letting you use them. Wonderful, friendly staff, but I had to give this place 4 stars because I upon checking my bedsheets, (as i always do) I found tons of tiny hairs, as if someone had given a man a haircut at the foot of the bed. Very gross, but the housekeeper sent to change the sheets was so sweet and kind. No complaints other than that, and I wish I could give 4.5 stars.
They has me at the fresh cookies they provide at check-in. Staff is very friendly. Love the digital room key, I can check-in before I get there and skip the front desk and head directly to my room. Great location in downtown. Was here for a wedding and stayed in both a suite and a normal king room over the weekend, and the differences were odd choices. Ex. The king room had a great stand/sit bath tub with jets and an open view to the TV in the main room--the suite did not. The king room had a better bed than the suite--much softer. The king room also, while technically smaller, felt more open...

My wife and I went to San Diego to do the Hot Chocolate run. We found this hotel online and booked it because it was close to the start location for the Run. We are so glad we stayed here. It was a little hard to find but once we did we were greeted buy a very kind parking attendant valet/bell hop named Zach. We checked in at the front desk and both the girls who helped us were extremely friendly,...
Rooms are nice, just slightly dated. The hotel provides free coffee and tea in the morning and happy hour with free wine and beer every evening. Walking g distance to plenty of restaurants downtown.
The service here is nothing short of phenomenal. The rooftop bar and pool is a nice touch, but is really the view of nearly every room, so it can get a bit lout in the early pm. With that said it quiets down well. Great coffee service in the lobby, but coffee makers are not found in rooms. However they can be requested. My only real complaint are the beds. If you enjoy rock hard beds you will be fine...

Great room top restaurant and bar with excellent food. Lovely lobby area with bar and restaurant and modern facilities with pool and gyms.
Nice hotel good location for access to food. A short walk to little Italy. Easy to get to the airport. The biggest issue I had was there isn't a protected area to pull in to valet your car. They really didn't design the entry well. Also valet parking is $50/ day so be forewarned. Room was small but fine. Very clean and modern. The rooftop bar is cool and has a nice ambiance.
Everything about this hotel was amazing. Stayed for 1 night and had one of the best experiences I've ever had. The room was modern, clean and the bathroom was phenomenal. Very fancy. We had a view of the bay and it was breath taking. The duvets on the bed were so comfortable. We went up to the restaurant for some drinks and they offered us free shots! The atmosphere was so tranquil. The jacuzzi was...
Wife and I had a great experience at this location. There was many places in walking distance which made things easier and the area felt safe for us. Staff were fantastic, they assisted with everything. From opening our doors if we took a ride or explaining anything we had questions for. The hotel room felt great, it was very clean and taken care of as well felt very modern. We had a view to the...
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful room. Room was tiny however and the view wasn't too great due to the construction next door. The rooftop had a great view. Valet parking was pricey at $56. Got a $60 food/beverage credit as a Diamond member. Didn't get an upgrade but that's fine. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Located next to Little Italy and close by to everything in San Diego.
I can't recommend this hotel and its staff enough. From the moment we checked in they made sure to make our stay special. The hotel itself is in a great location just a short walk from the harbor and Little Italy. The rooftop bar is so fun and has an awesome view. The manager Jordan, the concierge and Above Ash staff are all the best around. Thank you. We will be back.

Really nice hotel. The interior is stylish yet tasteful and modern. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was well-sized, clean and comfy. Also, the location of the hotel is great. It is very central, yet relatively quiet and only a few walking minutes away from many points of interest, such as the Midway, the Marina or the Gaslamp Quarter. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would...
A huge hello to the team. We were in town to celebrate our 1 year old's birthday, spending time at the zoo, the sea and the beach. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her, but the front desk person kindly gave us an upgrade to a corner suite for 3 nights and wow, that room was good! They set us up with the pack and played around, so we were fine when we arrived late Thursday night...
Thank you for a wonderful vacation! Your rooms were clean, check-in was hassle-free and the service was great! Great location to stay if you don't want to drive or just walk. There is amazing food and some attractions close to the hotel. There is a bar in the lobby. There are scooters available to explore the city center and the pier is a short walk away. This hotel made my trip much more memorable...
There hotel is opened by Marriott but operates like a really nice boutique hotel. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. One downside is parking. $48 a night. Other than that, the location is perfect for going on during the day or at night. I definitely recommend staying here. The concierge is also very helpful.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... Really liked the hotel. It was very nice and clean and felt brand new. The showers had the overhead do it was like rain which you don't find in many hotels and it's awesome. The location is great and San Diego has bicycles everywhere you can use on the street for next...
A great Marriott Autgraph Hotel. The Staff is awesome, rooms are very nice and you have plenty of space. I liked the location, close to the Airport and not to much traffic. Valet Parking is not inexpensive but it saves you time. The Hotel restaurant has some choices, perhaps not for everyone. There are limited restaurant choices in walking distance.

People usually take the time to write when they are unhappy. I take the time to acknowledge a few who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Please let them know that we sincerely appreciate going the extra mile to make us comfortable and welcome. I know staffing and return protocols can be an issue. Despite this, the service is top notch. Thank you, Paola, front desk and restaurant staff...
But
The experience was quite good. Room was clean. Check-in and Check-out were painless. Decent bar, reception area. We did get a bit mixed-up between this hotel and another Westin 3 blocks down the same main street. That one is a little closer to the Gaslamp, if that's in your plans.
This hotel is located in a fantastic spot. Just a couple of issues we had: 1- bathtub had some hair in it and 2 - booking was a pain...I had originally booked to stay 3 nights and had to cut it down to 2 nights, but the manager said we had to book for a 2 night minimum stay at a higher rate. I booked it, but called a couple days later to cancel the room altogether, the nice guy at the front desk said...
Great location in the gas lamp district and excellent staff that will go above and beyond. Rooms are well appointed, bar and restaurant available in the lobby. There's also a business center for web searches and printing when needed. No free parking but valet is available for $50/night. There's a 24 hour convenience store across the street for everything from a six pack to a sandwich if you're not...
Nostalgic. Beautiful. Walking distance. Hotels can be pricey, but worth it! And here's why; Gas lamp has everything! Baseball stadium, bars, restaurant's, sights, rickshaws! All within walking distance for the most part. There is even water taxi's, and close to Coronado! There is an old battleship museum, and of course SeaWorld is around the corner! Parking however, sucks! Expensive, even at the hotel...
