Inn by the Sea, La Jolla

Inn by the Sea did not disappoint! My family of four stayed in the Sand Dollar suite. The suite is quite large and beautifully decorated. The private outdoor patio space was a delight. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and several beaches. We took advantage of the pool every night, and enjoyed the complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lounge. My only critique is that the mattress in the main bedroom was a bit too hard for my preference. However, I find that with most hotels. 🙂 I would highly recommend Inn by the Sea!

What a beautiful location. Walkable to the beach, great restaurants, and shops. Very friendly staff. Nice heated pool and a guest lounge with hot drinks. Such a nice relaxing spot.

We stayed here for a wedding and the location is amazing - walking distance to everything you need.

There was some slight confusion during check in, but Juan did a great job resolving everything and ensuring we were satisfied. He truly went above and beyond!

This hotel lies right in Center of town. With parking so expensive in the area hotel offers this first night free then after $20.00. To note there is parking in the front, underneath and behind the hotel. I say this as we did not realise this at first.

On booking in the chap at reception was very friendly and helpful you also get coupons to use locally, a nice touch for local businesses.

We had a room overlooking the front of the hotel we could just see the sea, as well as looking over town. The rooms are clean nice size bright and airy, also balcony door so nice fresh air.

No criticism of hotel but we bring our own kettle for tea in rooms. that all US hotels.

However they have a really nice room by the pool with free hot drinks, hot chocolate ( do not drink coffee). Again clean and well organised.

There a pool that is heated, we being wimps just put our hands in it but it was warm.
We really liked hotel. Would highly recommend.

Booked a block of rooms for a destination wedding. The group sales crew were awesome. They helped keep us organized and stayed on top of the details. The rest of the staff were also friendly & helpful. Bathrooms may be a little dated but clean. Rooms are quite spacious and fresh, each with a little terrace which was nice.

Clean place. View is OK you can see the water but it's partially obstructed by buildings. Great location to eateries and shopping. Staff is super thoughtful and considerate.

Wonderful stay at Inn by the Sea, a well-located, clean, comfortable, and tastefully appointed hotel. Though there isn’t a complimentary breakfast, the hotel makes coffee available all day and has a sophisticated vending system with many options, ranging from snacks to full meals. The pool and patio were delightful amenities. Highly recommend a room with an ocean view — sunsets are fantastic.

A beautiful, comfortable hotel. Location is perfect, in the center of the village which is paradise. The rooms are clean and well appointed, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and you get free access to the La Jolla sports club as a guest. The sports club is right across the street. I will be staying again on my next trip to La Jolla and highly recommend it.
