Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine

We stayed here for just one night at one of the suites. The room was nice and had a nice view over the city on the 12th floor. They have a nice pool and cafe area with some entertainment activities like ping pong table. I didn't like the grilled chicken sandwich by the pool. Chicken was very dry and the bread didn't taste good either. The restaurant opens at 4pm. I went for the breakfast downstairs. A little pricey but it didn't disappoint. I had a very delicious avocado toast.

I was here recently for the IVAT conference. Though I wasn't able to secure a room in this hotel, all the other facilities that I used during the week were superb. There was a fly issue early in the week but by the end of the week I think most of the flies had been contained. My only complaint if I had one was the lunch that we were offered. It was $20 for each day and I have to admit, what they were offering, in my opinion, wasn't worth $20. I only took part of the onsite lunch the first day and went elsewhere for the other days. Other than that, I look forward to next year and will definitely register early so I can actually stay at the hotel.

Overall it is great, we had breakfast included in our booking. The room is good, service is good, but they really need to do something about flies in their breakfast buffet room. We saw fruit flies on the bread when we tried to take tongs from the bread plate on day one, on day two, the bread was covered, but there was a big fly on the ham, after that, we don’t want to have any food there.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and 2 kids while we took a trip to the zoo and Legoland. I’ve stayed at several Hyatt’s in my day and we found this one to not disappoint! Our stay was delightful. The pool was excellent and we really enjoyed the space and pool bar. The on-site restaurants served delicious choices and room service was also convenient after a busy day. I am very happy with this hotel and despite the parking and resort fees, I would stay here again! We are all satisfied customers and happy with the entire staff and how everything worked out!

The price of the room was great! Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Room seemed large with the single king sized bed in it. The shower did not have a ridge on the floor to keep water from getting on the floor in the bathroom so if you take a long shower the floor will be covered in water. The shower itself was nice with a fixed shower head as well as one on a hose. Turning them both on at the same time was a great thing. Ordered room service for breakfast, food was ok, but under seasoned in my opinion. Order was slightly wrong (I got hashed browns instead of country potatoes) which for the price of the food plus a $5 delivery fee along with a 22% gratuity added on kind of bothered me. Breakfast for my wife and I ended up costing more than the room. My biggest complaint would be the half sized table top ironing board which made it extremely difficult to iron my clothing while getting ready for a wedding.

The room we stayed in a as a standard king. The room was nice and updated. It was clean as you would expect. The bed was pretty comfortable but nothing to write home about. The parking is a little on the expensive side around $30 a night. But you can find street parking in front and behind the hotel which I free. The pool deck area is very nice and had fire places. The location is easy to get to as it's right off the freeway. Which makes it a great place to stay if you're looking to explore all of what San Diego has to offer. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
