On arrival I was told despite having a confirmed and fully paid for in advance hotel booking that due to another receptionists error in allocating the rooms they would be able to squeeze me in for one night and will sort something out the next day.
From the room I was allocated which did not look that great I managed to contact the hotel booking company who immediately cancelled the booking and issued me a full refund within an hour.
It was when I was trying to leave the premises that the scruffy looking owner manager questioned my reason for leaving and seemed not to understand the fact that I did not jump up and down in joy on being told he would move me to another hotel the next day all the while as the very nice young receptionist looked on in embarrassment.

Very nice hotel in the centrum, everything on walking distance. There’s space for your (rental) car which they can provide you a rental for with car drop en pick up at the hotel. Every day fresh towels, nice breakfast and friendly staff. I do recommend more toilet paper, had to ask that at the reception.
I liked a beach a bit further, so I walked 20 minutes to that beach, across the hotel on the right is a beach as well but I liked the other one more. You could get a bike rentail or so but a small walk is not that bad.

Probaly best location to have since you can cross the bridge and within a few min you reach the beach.
Very friendly staff takes the time to have smalltalk. The lady of the hotel is a very kind soul. Besides the people that work there are very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast has everything you need.
All in all, the best part was the dog they own is very cute haha

Great hotel, and the thing to point out here is the amazing staff! So friendly and helped us with all our questions about travelling in Albania. Highly recommend to stay here!

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location.The staff were all friendly and helpful.Rooms were comfortable with good A.C.Very close to the sea and a quiet beach.Lots of places to eat and drink in easy walking distance.Would definitely recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stayed here for a week whilst visiting Albania for the first time. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are wonderful. They helped with all requests and questions and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are clean and tidy and also very modern for such an old building. The breakfast was perfectly adequate for the size of the hotel. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in Durres.

Nice stop in Durres. Rooms are fine and breakfast was adequate. The staff are also really nice however we didn’t have a good start as they couldn’t find our booking and said we had no reservation with them. Quite stressful but after a few calls they located our booking. The main draw is the excellent location. Overall a good stay.

We stayed at Hotel KLOEST in July as a couple and what a fantastic place to stay is! We have never felt so welcome in a hotel, the staff was always attentive, polite, and professional. At the less busy moments of the day, we even had some nice conversations with them. The breakfast service was delicious and with a great variety considering the small restaurant. The rooms well equipped and super clean, to the high standards of any fancy hotel. Finally, location was great as it was near a small beach (less crowded than Durres beach) and near the sights and many restaurants and bars. In summary, this is easily the best experience we have had at a hotel and cannot recommend it enough.

Not only it is close to the sea and the main attraction - Roman amphitheater. It is also very comfortable. And what is still better - the wonderful hospitality of the staff which met very complicated demands of our group. Warmly recommended.

Stunningly beautiful and comfortable hotel. They treat guests wonderfully. The hotel staff is always ready to help with everything. Comfortable rooms, wonderful view from the window and excellent Wi-Fi. Exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommend.
