The food is good, but the problems are as if it were on the seashore, the service is bad, the waiter's behavior is bad, I don't want to visit that place!!!!!??

Fantastic hotel, overnight stay, we arrived in the middle of the night and were received very warmly. The breakfast is fantastic and the prices are more than acceptable.

We had a perfect stay at Kastro Hotel in Gjirokaster. The rooms were clean, spacious and the beds very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the breakfast buffet offered a great choice. We really enjoyed our time in this hotel.

Located at the edge of the town within easy reach of the centre, restaurants and bars. Our room was small but comfortable. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was varied and plentiful using local produce with the option of eating in or out. The family were extremely helpful.

Great hotel. Right in the heart of the town but away from any noise. The beds are super comfortable and it has a real shower with a shower door, which is bizarrely rare in Europe. I’d definitely stay here again. The only negative is that it doesn’t have the view of the mountains like other hotels. Rather, a pleasant view of a courtyard.

A charming hotel in an historic and well renovated period Ottoman era villa. The room we had was comfortable and spacious. There are level views from the balcony of the old and new towns and across the valley. It is well situated for the old bazaar quarter and castle. (went there a few month ago) The owners were super friendly and helpful. And the location was very good, close to almost everything. The owner reccomend to take a walk to the castle even though the road is steep. We're glad she told us because we found lots of gorgeous places on our walk.

Located in the new town area. Good base at Gjriokaster if one carries heavy luggage. 10 minutes walk to the bus stop outside the main road gas station. However, it requires about 30 minutes steep walk to the castle. If anyone wants to walk less, a bus for 30 lek can bring you to the old town at uphill. Owner is extremely kind and helpful. What can i say for this friendly and really helpful couple? I needed a room last minute just for the night and their service and attitude was excellent. The lady speaks 3 languages and maybe more so you will definately get a great communication. The room and bathroom were so clean i felt sorry to use them :D Highly recommended.

Good service with a bit of introduction of the manager. The rooms are nice with air condition and good bathroom. A must to check is the terrace with amazing views like the castle. Priceless

Perfect hotel!!! Very good service and a very good receptionist helping us with various important issues such as converting money to lek and for a phone card but also inside the hotel he helped us a lot !! A meal with no end! Authentic Albanian flavours served in a wonderful atmospheric building where the history of Albania is evident. Field to table meals with stunning wholesome flavours. Absolutely worth stop to taste and soak up the culture.

We have been to Bujtina Maria to have lunch with my family. The place was so nice and the food was extraordinary. The staff and the owners were so nice and very friendly. I highly recommended it if you want to try special and traditional food.

What a place! Amazing food, amazing views, amazing and genuine hospitality. Enjpying breakfast surrounded by nature, with golden orioles singing nearby, was a special experience. So glad I visited. The village is very pretty too,, set amongst the mountains, and the church a real treasure. Ask the kind owner, and he will get the church key for you.

Hotel was located in quiet zone but close to the tourist places like for example the castle. Very good place to stay in Gjirokaster. Amazing hosts, amazing place and even more incredible breakfast. I only don't put 5 stars because we had a lot of troubles to find the place because google directions are not correct and we didn't get any message from the host explaining how to get there. Finally they had to come where we were and help us to get there.

Stayed here for one night with the family as part of our Balkan tour. Our tour company arranged for the hotel so not sure of the price. It is a charming family-run guest house. The ambiance of an old otoman family house perched high in the hills, very near the Castle. The rooms with stone walls have all you need to be very confortable, breakfast was the best we had on our stay in Albânia. But the best of the best was the kindness and the close attention of Bledar 👍👍👍

Konaku house was the best in town! They made our stay in Gijrokaster unforgettable! The place has a very beautiful view from the top.. the staff are super friendly and kind, the breakfast was various and very tasty The room was very clean.. we had a a problem with the car and Eskander was helping.. thank you for making our experience in Gijrokaster the best ever!

Whenever I see one of those highly rated places I get a bit sceptical as to what it really means... Yet, at Konaku, this is very obvious from the moment you step in. We stayed short and wanted to prolong our trip just for the guesthouse experience. From location, to interior, to cleanliness and especially the care shown by the hosts, all and everything, make this place simply amazing.

We stayed here in their duplex family room for a night during our short Albania trip last December.. very beautiful room , lovely view , warm host family.. we enjoyed our stay .. a little tricky to drive the steep roads leading to it but a lot of sights to visit around , most within walking distance.

Honestly the rooms are beautiful and some have a view over the valley which is stunning. Very much feels like a historic place to stay. Hosts are lovely, very accommodating and the view at breakfast was also gorgeous. It’s a great location as it’s in the centre of the old town near the bazaar. The drive there and parking can be a bit stressful so get help from the host!

We stayed at Bed and Breakfast Kotoni for two days in 2009. The owners are the nicest people l have met. They first invited us for a refreshment and made us feel like home. No pressure, very relaxed, place very clean and excellent food. l highly recommend the place and plan to visit them this year.
