4 star hotels in Gjirokaster

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights and I did a stupid thing. I do not want to elaborate just want to mention that the owner of the hotel showed exceptional help and generosity which I had not experienced in a long, long time. This is a beautiful hotel with European styling, lovely bathrooms, lovely woodwork, tea kettle in the room. Good water pressure in a compact shower so not for the obese. Plenty of lighting and two mirrors. Firm mattress and immaculately clean throughout. Excellent breakfast serving the expected plus cooked beets, beet greens and vegetables.

Located very easy walk to the Castle of Gjirokastra; Argjiro Hotel has been renovated to match the ambiance of the area with impressive and detailed hand-crafted wood working in the reception area. This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in Albania! The renovations were incredible. The woodworking and art were amazing and fine. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. This was an amazing hotel. My room was so nice. The breakfast was very tasty and it’s on such a nice street. There is a terrace on the second floor which is beautiful, and also has a pretty view of the street I strongly recommend this for anyone with family or friends!

Great service, all kind and willing to help ... spotlessly clean and very nice views of the castle

A smart hotel, well located in the centre of town, close to the shopping area but still a good trek up to the castle (but it is worth it). Nice rooms, but ours was at the back and faced a wall! Breakfast was good with the first selection of teas I'd seen in Albania. Bar service was also very good.

Old communist Hotel. Nice top roof restaurant with views of the city. Seminar rooms available for events. Room prices above average. Credit cards accepted. Rooms can be noisy due to car and buses passing by.

We had a pleasant stay overall, largely thanks to the exceptional receptionist who definitely deserves a raise. He was incredibly sweet, always helpful, and made our experience truly memorable. Unfortunately this structure is not valued, because if someone put their hands on it, it would become one of the most beautiful hotels in Albania, because it has a really beautiful location and a swimming pool on the top floor that takes your breath away. Stayed here for 5 nights the hotel has alot of character but is in need of some updating. Specifically the bathroom. The shower soaked the bathroom every time it was used. We also found although the cleaner drops us clean towel in the time of our stay the room was not brushed or moped. Amazing! Definitely better than we hoped for. We were shown a spotless room with marble tiles and an amazing view from our balcony. The beach is absolutely wonderful with the best lounge chairs I have seen, for free. Great service from the bar. Such amazing hospitality and location was stunning, especially for sunset. Surrounded by great resturants and a Spar nearby. The host was AMAZING and so so helpful! This is a super cute place right on the beach. I don’t know what parking is like, it was a little tricky getting in there with a car. Each room comes with an umbrella on a small beach. An in demand hotel and rightly so! Super location just south of the beach with incredible views of the promenade and sea. 6th floor is the way to go! Breakfast was a little underwhelming, but don’t let that put you off booking (as long as you can secure the right room!).

Great hotel on a magnificent location due to the great view. There is a great staff around. Very friendly and helpful. We are traveling with a camper and they let us park the camper in the garage below the hotel and we could plug in electricity. Rooms are clean and the bed is great!
