A smart hotel, well located in the centre of town, close to the shopping area but still a good trek up to the castle (but it is worth it). Nice rooms, but ours was at the back and faced a wall! Breakfast was good with the first selection of teas I'd seen in Albania. Bar service was also very good.
Old communist Hotel. Nice top roof restaurant with views of the city. Seminar rooms available for events. Room prices above average. Credit cards accepted. Rooms can be noisy due to car and buses passing by.
A nice hotel, good value for money. Breakfast is all you can eat, and it's served on the top floor so that you can enjoy a view of the city. Location of the hotel is also very good.

The place is wonderfully located overhanging the Drin valley and next to Gjirokaster castle. The hosts are lovely and make you feel at home. We highly recommend.
Our host Harikla and her husband have been very accommodating and made our stay pleasant. Great communication, basic but delicious breakfast, stunning views in the morning, clean room, quiet location. We needed some help to navigate the toads with the car and our hosts kindly offered to help. I also appreciated the free private parking. The homemade fig jam was delicious! If fresh air is important...
The owner was such a nice women, who is fluent in several languages (Italian, English and even more). She made us feel welcome from the start, with her home made lemonade and the extensive breakfast, which you can enjoy on the terrace. Almost felt sad leaving. It felt like a breath of fresh air. Thanks again!
Great location high up in the hills above Gjirocaster. Do not try to walk here with bags as the roads are cobblestone and steep! The owners will pick you up from the bus station for 600 Lek which is worthwhile investment.
Once here the guesthouse is close to everything. 5 mins to the bazaar and then onto and upwards to the castle or down to the Cold War tunnels, both must sees.
