The Star Grand at The Star Gold Coast
Gold Coast, 1 Casino Dr 🧭 Map
I attended the Star Casino for the first time for the nye masquerade ball, the place was so beautiful, staff were so helpful and I had such a good time. Shout out to my server Courtney who was so amazing and attentive, she did such a great job looking after my table and I, and to who I assume was her supervisor who was also amazing and had to duct tape me into my shoes after a blow out. 10/10 would...
Well presented and so comfortable and clean.
room is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that ensures a restful night's sleep. The hotel's service is top-notch, making the stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the food served at the bistro is delightful and leaves a positive impression.
Great location, good service. Near pacific fair shopping Center, lot is options for cafe and restaurants
The hotel room is clean and housekeeping services are good. The only issue is that the car park is not free. Take note if you do plan to go to the ****** to play, always take a ticket when you enter the car park and when any of your travel mates have earned 5 tier points in the ****** with the star club card, go claim the free car park and you can save on paying for it.
You can rent a car and go...

I can say i love and like this place because it’s easy to go out qnd many activities to do
Great resort right next to sea world. Splash pad and pool a hit with the kids. Pity the public bus only stops at the other end of sea world so quite a walk with luggage
Room was okay but very noisy. Restaurants plenty of choices. Breakfast was okay but the wait time is unbelievable. We weren't sent our theme park tickets early had to ask for them when we checked in, our room wasn't ready at 3.30pm so given another room.
Seaworkd it's self was a disappointment as some ride not going , rides not open at opening time but later just not thr same with all the side...
Room Facilities are poor, no one was available to carry luggage on arrival and breakfast was clumsy and poor.
I was a nice weekend for my family. We celebrated my kids birthday and we couldn't wait to comeback here. Such a good deal we get. The room has very nice view
Service is superb, package include 4 parks entry which is great. Water park in hotel is fun!

Nice clean good sized room in a very good location.
The wifi being a bit slow unless you paid for fast was a little off putting
Nice hotel in good location but getting a little bit dated and I found the bed a bit uncomfortable.
The hotel was pretty mid, the carpet was old and stained, the fire alarm above the bed kept flashing all night, the pillows were way too firm, the fridge in the room was super loud.
The reception was nice though
The check in was fine, the car parking was easy enough, but the room was not in good shape. The room was asthough it had experienced 20 years of schoolines and nothing had been attended to. There was paint peeling off, chips, cracks, unclean carpet, unkept room items. The clock was flashing random time, I didn't check to see if the TV was working, but it didn't mater, I wasn't staying in the room...
We booked the ocean view room and it was nice! The hotel is close to the beach.
We had a great time at Mantra in surfers. Front desk staff was lovely and helpful.
The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. There was an issue with the shower head , the water was barely coming out due to build up of limescale and an old shower head. Also the shower gel dispenser was empty.
Overall a pleasant stay

Loved the location. We would definitely come back again.
Stayed up here a couple of weeks ago for the Pacific Airshow.
Hotel is in a good location although not in the centre of Surfers Paradise.
5 minute walk to Cavill Av which isn’t too bad.
Good views as we could see the planes from the hotel balcony.
A little overpriced for a standard size hotel room.
Odd smell in the rooms, I had to have the balcony doors open all the time. Even the closest had a musty smell. So be aware to leave your clothes hanging in there, bring a deodorising agent.
Bathroom is small.
The hotel and rooms are clean.
Breakfast was great value, with excellent service. However I found paying for breakfast on demand was .32c more expensive than adding it to your room, likely...
Good but like all hotels post covid, they don't have staff. You have to take your own bags to your room. 4 star hotels have porters and offer that standard.
Mitigating factor is as above. They can't get the staff.
Room cleaning was offered. We didn't get it done however.
I like the hotel. The guy that checked us in was friendly and helpful.
Room is cleaned daily and linen were made well. The hotel is close to everything, from restaurants, fast food and convenient stores and there are many choices that suits everyone. Breakfast is superb, lots of choices from heavy, bread to cereals and fruits. breakfast is the same though everyday.
I can’t express how amazing this place actually is. It made the next hotel I visited look unappealing despite it being a good hotel.
The staff were lovely, lobby was open (space wise), clean and welcoming and a 24/7 reception desk.
The room was so clean with daily housekeeping, TV and amazing window views with a balcony and chairs overlooking the beach.
The pool and spa was just phenomenal. I reckon...

Novotel Surfers Paradise
Gold Coast, Cnr Hanlan St and Surfers Paradise Blvd 🧭 Map
It was a good experience staying at the Novotel Gold Coast; breakfast was good, offering a variety of fresh options, and the location was convenient, close to popular beaches, shopping centers, and entertainment venues.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Surfers Paradise beach. There's a shopping center next door with an indoor shortcut directly to the beach, so you can get there without stepping outside. A tram stop is right outside the hotel, and a public parking lot is also very close.
The downsides are also location-related. Ocean-facing rooms might hear the beach night market, but...
Everything about this stay was 5 stars. The cleanliness, the service, and the central location were all excellent. But the real "wow" factor is the view from the balcony—absolutely stunning high-floor perspective of the city and the coast. It’s the perfect spot for solo travelers looking for comfort and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
We loved staying at Novotel, especially location-wise, it's 5 to 8 minutes walk to surfers paradise. Balcony and views from it are amazing, pics for ref. Tram is a 5 minute walk. All great restaurants within 5 minutes.
Hoping to stay again in future!!!!
Oh and yes heated pool and spa were added bonus including fitness room- free for hotel guests of course.
The room was a bit small but had a balcony with direct views of the coast and beach, which was absolutely beautiful. Downstairs, there were all sorts of restaurants and a lively pedestrian street that stayed busy late into the night.

Great service, good facility, clean, nice room, well equipped, great location and things to do at the hotel, nice resort, great food options available
A fabulous short stay for us . The room was lovely and clean , beds comfortable and spacious. We ordered in-room dining and the serving size ( particularly of the Club Sandwich ) was fantastic ! A big thankyou to James, who was exceptional in his job in this area !
This was our 2nd stay at the Royal Pines and we look forward to a future visit !
Need an adult only area in the breakfast buffet - otherwise, staff was amazing 🤩
Safety box in the room was out of order. Towels too old in the bathroom. Outdoor spa wasn't fun because not strong enough for bubbling. However reception staff were very friendly.
What a nice view! There are lots of restaurants you can go nearby this resort. The stay was amazing and comfy.

Quality Twin Towns
Gold Coast, Griffith Street - Tweed Heads 🧭 Map
We stay at Twin Towns whenever we visit the Gold Coast. Coolangatta/Tweed Heads is a quieter end of the coast, but has plenty of facilities for eating, swimming/surfing or entertainment. The resort has the Twin Towns club within the building and has a range of eateries, pokies and live entertainment. The resort itself has a nice pool, spa, mini golf course, games room and gym. If you can get...
Clean rooms, quiet, comfy bed & pillow, huge, attached to a club, walking distance to everything you could need and lots of facilities available. Our room had a lovely outlook and privacy.
The place has spacious rooms. Getting very old and furniture appearing to be from last santuary.. Needs a super re vamp. Staff is really happy to help. Had no problems here, but looking at other lux apartments around felt like I could have done better in the same price.
Great place to stay, our 2bed apartment was clean and tidy. Was a little dated but for the price not bad. We had a great view back to the ocean on the 14th floor. Lower floors may struggle for views given its positioning. Staff were very friendly and the centre itself had a few good places to eat. Also, much quieter than the other end of the main strip near the surf club. Will definitely be back!
Air conditioning broke on 1st day they moved me to a much older style room and low floor after a night of listening to water dripping from ac vents. Couldn't fix it until morning shift arrived. Staff was as helpful as they could be. Both rooms were comfortable but had a better view from the high floor.
The night staff specifically Omar was fantastic during my stay. Great guy with an awesome ability to engage customers and keep things calm and on track.

Whilst we were a little concerned about all the negative reviews, we are so glad we stuck with our booking at Couran Cove.
Yes the resort has a lot of work and the cleanliness of the lodge was pretty poor, however put that aside and embrace waking up to a waterfront sunrise, all of the activities you can do on the island, including the sunset drinks and the sunset bar and really embrace what the island...
We nt for family holiday. Cabin was good on the lake. Lots of room. Pool was large and clean, and lots of seating around pool. Pool bar was open and food was good. We were given use of 2 bikes for week and most paths are paved with complex. Rode to beach and within resort. Also paddle board and kayak was good. Hire cheap at $10 per person per day, and covered both activities. Used one tennis court...
Love taking our little boat over from the GC....over water Bungalow a little tired but very clean. Restaurant & food amazing. Loved the cabana by the pool, more signage on the track would be good. Loved the sunset cocktails & music. Will be back
This place has so much potential but unfortunately the legal battle going on is preventing that. Our accommodation was wonderful and the locals are so lovely but unfortunately most of the facilities are rundown and unmaintained apart from the pool. We still had a great time tho and will be visiting again in the future
So beautiful. Ferry ride was amazing, water so perfect, crew was very helpful.
Check in was a breeze. Staff are really happy and eager to help with information and attractions. Our apartment is facing the marina and the hinterlands. Beautifully furnished room, bathroom is fantastic and really well appointed. Lots of storage!
Pool area is awesome. This whole place needs to be seen to be believed.
Love the setting. Place looks a little bit tired and a bit odd with unkempt running track, mini golf etc. Maybe part of a later upgrade.
Food choice's poor, especially for vegetarians. Only one dedicated menu item at poolside Bar and bistro (which was good). No vegetarian menu at resort restaurant. When I asked what the vegetarian options were after seeing not a single one on the menu I was told...

Quite a dated hotel. Although the location is good, it’s very noisy at night.
Excellent location, literally all of the restaurants and cafes of broadbeach within walking distance. The room was clean and spacious, with a bath - my fave. The ocean view was gorgeous, and I got a really good rate, if I can get that rate again I'll definitely be back!

One of the best experiences i have ever had! The room is spacious, and I love that I can request for different types of pillows, which is extremely helpful for quality sleep! The balcony view is also astonishing!
The only minus is that another building block the view during sunrise and sunset and perhaps sofitel should run promotions more frequently

Breakfast was amazing, it was so great to stay somewhere that caters so well for dietary needs. Great pool and straight out onto the beach. Rooms very spacious
Room is clean and big. Location is great as it is near SEAWORLD. No heated pool during winter though. Customer services was something really lacking especially when we have trade to different parts of Australia. And definitely not expecting this kind of services from 5 star hotels. I guess your staff need to treat all customers equally despite of their skin colors.
The hotel’s public areas are beautifully designed and well maintained, which initially gave a great impression. However, the room itself was quite outdated and lacked the comfort we expected. Unfortunately, the check-in process was frustrating — we waited over 20 minutes at reception, and the staff member was rather stern and didn’t seem very knowledgeable. The hotel's ambiance was fantastic, with stunning views, beautiful interiors, and lovely staff at the entrance and front desk. The smooth check-in process and friendly front desk staff added to the positive experience, and I was thrilled to get upgraded to a Junior Suite.
However, the room had some major issues. I was disappointed to find mouldy sheets, and the presence of a cockroach was unacceptable...

QT Gold Coast is a fantastic hotel that left a lasting impression on us, and we wouldn’t think twice about staying there again. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The room was not only spacious but also thoughtfully designed for comfort, making our stay incredibly relaxing. It's definitely worth it!
Room was nice and very clean - I am very satisfied with the cleanliness.
Due to the design of the shower (no doors/half open shower), our bathroom was constantly flooded so we've had to step on cold water each time we entered which detracted from the experience.
It was alright, but we got floor level 4 despite request for higher level, and also nobody notified us that the balcony was under maintenance and unaccessible until we found out in our room by ourselves. Rooms are satisfactory. I didn't mind as you don't spend much time in them. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. Advise trying to find a deal online before booking. Our kids ate for free which saved us hundreds over our 5 night stay. Pools and waterslides were a lot of fun for the kids, albeit a bit packed when we were there
The rooms aren't overly spectacular but were clean and comfortable. A great place for kids!! Although, I felt my Mr 2 couldn't benefit from a great deal and the water in the pool/water park areas was absolutely freezing cold. Definitely a great place to revisit when he's older. Lovely staff and very handy idea to be able to sign your child/ren in to the kids club for a few hours of fun, if you're so...
Perfect for young families wanting to keep the kids entertained on the days you aren't going to theme parks. The pools, play equipment and kids activities are perfect for kids up to about 14. Great place to stay. It is walking distance to the beach, walking distance to Cavel Avenue, and has a very beautiful ocean view. There is also a good breakfast buffet.
Love the accommodation and the view. The service was great, new towels were replaced, beds were made up, dishwasher was emptied. Perfect
Having visited the Gold Coast many times, our first stay at Q1 this time was exceptional. Our 59th-floor ocean-view suite with dual city vistas was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered breathtaking panoramas. The check-in staff were courteous and efficient, and our children loved the swimming pool and spa. We were all reluctant to depart.
Nice bedroom apartments, great location and facilities.
Many part of the building is under renovations and few shops are empty with lease signs. The outdoor lighting can be improved to uplift the building at night.

Agree with refurbish comments but still looking good. Stayed 5 nights with kids and they had lots of fun at the pool. Not fun of glass dining and coffee table when you have small kids around. However we are happy with our stay. Close to tram station which is good.
Our stay at this hotel had a very mixed feel, starting with a clean and modern room upon arrival. While we had a few initial issues like a dirty blanket and a missing cooking bowl, the staff did address these the following day. The bed was comfy, and we found the on-site microwave in the kitchen very useful for preparing simple meals, though it was frustrating that a knife for chopping was not provided...
We stayed in room 904 for one night. The room was spacious and well laid out, clean and cleverly decorated. Great little spot here. Very kid friendly. Lots of different pools with slides for the kids. Kids club was amazing. They had mini golf and tennis courts on site, plus a small cafe/restaurant that did the job. But i think the main selling feature was that you get a full apartment, with cooking facilities and laundry. Plus there is a Woolies a short walk down the road
We stayed 12 nights here, and we’re glad we did. Our apartment was everything we required and more. Beds were all comfortable, the extras of washing machine, dryer and hanger, made life so much easier. All the staff at resort were welcoming and helpful. We stayed in an Airbnb here. The pool is beautiful & is the highlight of the whole complex. Rooms are quite spacious, quiet & secure. It’s also very close to all the major theme parks, a small shopping centre & some restaurants. I would’ve given it 5 stars except the bedrooms only had water cooler aircon & the gym is very small
We stayed in room 2210. I would rate this stay at 4.5 stars they lost 1/2 stars for minor things that could be easily rectified. The room was ready for us early so that was very nice. When we parked we noticed that the car spaces are larger than the ones in other places we stayed at which is a bonus. Check in was fast and easy and the staff member was friendly. Elevator is tiny so if one has a lot luggage...
Azzura greens resort was an amazing stay. The only reason I didn't give five stars would be for the receptionist, she lacked some social skills. Beside that the place was kept very clean. The rooms were awesome and had everything you could need.
