Novotel Surfers Paradise

Stayed in the Ocean View Executive Spa Room on one the top floors. It was actually a great experience, room was clean and was modern. Great size, can’t complain. Even though it was so high, every night could still hear music and the vibrations from the clubs. Was very surprising that it could still be heard so high and even after midnight. It was pretty irritating. I guess it is surfers but the last...
Our accommodation was lovely. It was spacious and had a great location and a few friendly staff, but a couple was rude and not patient enough. The only issue I had was with a two-bedroom. Our rooms themselves didn't have doors for privacy. The bathroom was tiny and had no shelving or hooks to place clothes. The room service was nice with the breakfast and kids' meal for dinner I ordered. Their coffee...
We’ve been coming back to this place for years without disappointment. Perfect location, nice rooms, great buffet breakfast. The parking entrance is right next to the hotel and there’s lift to the hotel directly. The spa could be a bit bigger due to the huge demand, but 10 people can fit in. Towels are always available for swim. If I want to find anything to complain, last time (at Christmas) the shower...
Excellent service by Rossini! We stayed at the Novotel for a family trip celebrating my mum's birthday. The ocean-view rooms were fantastic and the hotel was in the best location, close to everything. The excellent service received from Rossini before, during and after our stay made our trip even better. She was very professional and accommodating, delivering a service that was above and beyond. Rossini...
get the highest floor you can and enjoy the view
I attended a seminar at the Novotel. The room was adequate for the size however the presentation screen was between 2 large windows which wasn't ideal. The food quality was very good, lunch was plentiful but morning and afternoon tea was limited. I didn't stay in the hotel. It was very handy for the tram and for local shopping.

The Star Gold Coast is a sprawling complex that offers a wide range of entertainment options, including a hotel, casino...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here but strongly recommend booking for dinner well in advance if you're wanting to eat within the hotel. The room was lovely, very clean and a generous size (executive king suite). There is plenty to see and do, so suggest a couple of nights minimum. Buffet breakfast at the Harvest was excellent!
Rooms are ok. Nice decor but furniture wasn't comfy so couldn't really relax. Could improve this I believe. Bit disappointed there's no microwave unless you've booked a suite and the extractor fan in the bathroom was so noisy it was annoying - was on a timer so went for 20 minutes after you turn the lights off - needs fixing. Otherwise all OK. Towels lovely. Pool was amazing. Staff pretty good...
We needed urgent accomodation after we had to vacate another hotel during our holiday and we found a good last minute deal at The Star Grand. The kind man in Valet parking could tell we were a little stressed and made us feel very welcome. Check in was easy, and the room was beautiful. The beds, oh my goodness they are like sleeping on clouds. I had great sleep while visiting. The toiletries are lovely...
We had an amazing stay at the Star. Great location, very accessible and amazing views from the rooms. Overall it is a happening property with a lot to do and many options to eat from. We lived on level 20 and had great views. The staff is great and very welcoming, but some new staff didn't know what they were doing. The executive lounge was a great add on to our stay at the Star Grand. We stayed for...

We love staying at Royal pines. Very family friendly and the kids love it. The newly refurbished rooms are lovely. Such a great new look. Staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming from reception, down to the restaurant and pool areas. Highly recommended. If I had to note one very minor downfall, it would be that my son gets upset that the arcade kids area isn't there all year round and only...
We had a lovely stay and experience. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great place for families with kids..big selection for buffet breakfast....plus kids loved the amazing pool and outdoor jumping pillow. Special thanks to all staff for making our stay so enjoyable especially nick ( manager) and Marion who always greeted us and the kids with the biggest smile at breakfast .
A last minute decision but worthwhile! Friendly staff at check-in, rooms were clean and tidy, some things were a bit dated and showed signs of age but overall condition was good. We don’t play golf but went for a walk through the grounds and they were very well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was amazing! The pool level restaurant was closed for refurbishment at the time (it’s open again now)...
Came here for a work conference and the facilities and staff were fantastic. Great multi use spaces for conferences. Our conference was 600 people, but it could have probably handled even more. Staff were wonderful, nice and green. Enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and tidy, room staff were incredible. I'd return in a heartbeat.
Went to High Tea on Sunday and I can't speak highly enough of the service from when you arrive to when you leave. The food was delicious with a good variety of savoury and sweet treats. Array of teas to choose from, or a plunger of coffee if you prefer. The ladies running the place were all very friendly and professional. Will definitely be going back.

We booked the two bedroom apartment with ocean view and it was very spacious, big huge balcony and the views were superb. The location was perfect, The tram station was only a minutes walk away. Great value for money.
Prime location, all shops at your footsteps. The cafe/bar in the hotel was excellent. Room was clean and comfortably arranged and had all I need for a family with young kids. Would definitely come back.
Great location and staff are super friendly and helpful. Everyone is very nice and the service is top quality. Unfortunately the rooms are quite dated and noise from the heating/cooling kept us up. But all minor things and would probably stay here again.
Wow wow wow, I can't fault it!!! We stayed here for 4 weeks and enjoyed every minute. Close to town and beach. Easy access, friendly staff. Clean building. We give our Air BnB Host 5*
Floor 17 ocean view was stunning. Welcome service -amazing. Comfy beds, low pillows to actually sleep on, Italian bath products, Washer worked well. Dryer door broken and stopped working. Would work if pushed back in again but slightly annoying. Block out curtain in bedroom but not lounge room where the sofa bed was made up. Up with the sun. Decent kitchen and accessories. The security staff was exceptional (Sam). He went to extensive efforts to track my daughter's stolen Apple watch to the room it was located in. It was reclaimed diplomatically without any fuss or embarrassment to the perpetrator.

I felt like I was at home, first hotel I’ve even stayed at where it had everything I needed and it was super comfy and cosy. From the TV being strategically placed directly in from on bed, to having a Dyson hairdryer and Kevin Murphy shampoo. Too comfy robes and a great swimming pool. I really loved my stay!
QT is excellent for the receptionist to the rooms and the breakfast was.. omg! The view is beautiful, we have the city view which was perfect for sunset on the balcony with a glass of your favourite. The only thing was the bed is a bit soft for my liking, but some of my colleagues shut eyes as soon as they hit it. Overall, it is excellent. The location was great as well, walling distance to shops...
Just stayed for 4 days. We had an ocean front room with stunning views. The staff were awesome, the vibes and atmosphere of the hotel were friendly and buzzing. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety and was all fresh and delicious. The bars and restaurants, pool and hang out areas were great. Perfect proximity to beach and surfers. The pool area was nice too Will be back for sure
I am currently staying at the QT. Now I usually don’t leave a review till after but I’m so happy with their service, rooms and everything I just couldn’t wait. My parents just finished 8 wonderful nights at this hotel. They came back so impressed by the service, accommodation, food and hospitality. They received prompt wake up calls on the mornings I'd organised and they said the buffet at the bazaar...
I had the most incredible experience at the QT hotel in Surfers Paradise. Our arrival was far from glamorous, as we found ourselves stuck in heavy traffic and car accidents for a staggering 14 hours. But, against all odds, the team at the QT hotel made our check-in process a breeze, even at the ungodly hour of 2:30 am. We stayed here recently for 4 nights. We booked a two bedroom villa which was fantastic. All the staff are amazing and friendly and we had such a great time. There was a small issue with our room and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was hassle free. Big thanks to Johnny, Abraham and Marie for really looking after us. Jack at the pool bar was such a hard worker and so friendly....
This is my second stay, the first time while at a work event nearby and this time for a few days with family. The hotel is starting to show signs of its age and needs some love. The rooms are a good size and most of the staff are delightful. The room service meals were poor and I’d recommend dining elsewhere as the on site restaurants aren’t great either, plenty of good places not too far away though...
Such a beautiful restaurant to eat at! The food is average, oysters and crab meat is small but still nice enough to enjoy. And the environment of the restaurant is 10/10. Also Our waiter for the table was staff Sonia, Sonia went above and beyond to ensure we were all catered for. She made my entire family feel so welcomed and happy to be eating there. We will definitely be back!!
After reading some reviews here, I was a bit concerned for coming to the hotel but I have to say that I couldn’t find any small negative thing at this. Wonderful excellent first class place. Hotel is well located and close to everything but the service and cleanliness is average. I Would rate it a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 5 star. Our room was great on level 5. We had a nice view, yes there were trees and high rise buildings but you need to be realistic in relation to the location. I could see the ocean. Loved the bathroom, probably because it was green. The room was clean, smelt clean and fresh. The only 2 areas I would suggest for improvement are the coffee sachets, as these looked to have been in storage for some time and...
Brilliant location in the heart of Broadbeach. Wonderful variety of cafes and The Oasis shopping centre at your front door. Walking distance to the beach. Loved our room upgrade and the amazing views. Brilliant service in Bistro on 3. Amazing buffet breakfasts. Lovely selection of Balmain Paris body products in our room. Nice selection of tea and coffee. Super comfy bed. Great pools and spa area.
I liked that I had a room that had grass out the front. Room 413. I also was impressed that Conxion buses picked us up from outside the hotel to take us to Rod Stewart concert at Mt Cotton 😀 I loved the proximity to food and bar outlets. I was very grateful that our room was ready at 11.30 .

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The pools is the highlight especially the salt water pool with fishes in it so you can snorkel. All staff were highly accomodating, friendly and polite. Thank you for the complimentary drinks also. All in all, 11/10! Will be coming back
Our little stay-cay at the Marriott this weekend was so amazing. The Staff were friendly and helpful, the pool is absolutely the best I’ve seen and our room was clean and modern. It’s the little things that matter and they are the things that are missing for a 5 star hotel. The room was lovely, gym is well equipped, pool area is beautiful and food was good. Service needs improving though, I had booked a couples spa package and had it all confirmed only to be left waiting on the day to then be informed it wasn’t put in their “excel spreadsheet”. Room service tray was left by...
A beautiful hotel and complex. The service was exceptional. The food is the restaurants was great and varied. The rooms are well appointed and the amount of marble and detail throughout the whole hotel is gorgeous. The rolls Royce is a delightful treat where you can be chauffeur driven around the Gold Coast and can choose to have champagne too if you like.
Agree with refurbish comments but still looking good. Stayed 5 nights with kids and they had lots of fun at the pool. The twin bed room was bigger than similar hotels and kids really enjoyed the evening chocolates! Housekeeping needs to keep up with the 5 star hotel. Once they came very late and the other day forgot to put a shampoo! Breakfast is good but nothing really stands out.

Fantastic views and comfortable bed. Very convenient and walking distance to surfer paradise. There is only limited parking and going in to the hotel is a bit hike since you need to drag your bags in the elevator of the car park that joint to the hotel then with the stairs going to the hotel by using your key card while holding your baggage. Great hotel for the price. Mantra on View is usually on of the cheaper hotels on the Gold Coast without being a hostel or motel. Loved the location. We would definitely come back again.
Stayed up here a couple of weeks ago for the Pacific Airshow. Hotel is in a good location although not in the centre of Surfers Paradise. 5 minute walk to Cavill Av which isn’t too bad. Good views as we could see the planes from the hotel balcony. A little overpriced for a standard size hotel room.
Odd smell in the rooms, I had to have the balcony doors open all the time. Even the closest had a musty smell. So be aware to leave your clothes hanging in there, bring a deodorising agent. Bathroom is small. The hotel and rooms are clean. Breakfast was great value, with excellent service. However I found paying for breakfast on demand was .32c more expensive than adding it to your room, likely...
Good but like all hotels post covid, they don't have staff. You have to take your own bags to your room. 4 star hotels have porters and offer that standard. Mitigating factor is as above. They can't get the staff. Room cleaning was offered. We didn't get it done however. I like the hotel. The guy that checked us in was friendly and helpful.
Room is cleaned daily and linen were made well. The hotel is close to everything, from restaurants, fast food and convenient stores and there are many choices that suits everyone. Breakfast is superb, lots of choices from heavy, bread to cereals and fruits. breakfast is the same though everyday.
I can’t express how amazing this place actually is. It made the next hotel I visited look unappealing despite it being a good hotel. Clean rooms, quiet, comfy bed & pillow, huge, attached to a club, walking distance to everything you could need and lots of facilities available. Our room had a lovely outlook and privacy.
The place has spacious rooms. Getting very old and furniture appearing to be from last santuary.. Needs a super re vamp. Staff is really happy to help. Had no problems here, but looking at other lux apartments around felt like I could have done better in the same price.
Great place to stay, our 2bed apartment was clean and tidy. Was a little dated but for the price not bad. We had a great view back to the ocean on the 14th floor. Lower floors may struggle for views given its positioning. Staff were very friendly and the centre itself had a few good places to eat. Also, much quieter than the other end of the main strip near the surf club. Will definitely be back!
Air conditioning broke on 1st day they moved me to a much older style room and low floor after a night of listening to water dripping from ac vents. Couldn't fix it until morning shift arrived. Staff was as helpful as they could be. Both rooms were comfortable but had a better view from the high floor.

This place has so much potential but unfortunately the legal battle going on is preventing that. Our accommodation was wonderful and the locals are so lovely but unfortunately most of the facilities are rundown and unmaintained apart from the pool. We still had a great time tho and will be visiting again in the future

Beautifully furnished room, bathroom is fantastic and really well appointed. Lots of storage! Pool area is awesome. This whole place needs to be seen to be believed.
Love the setting. Place looks a little bit tired and a bit odd with unkempt running track, mini golf etc. Maybe part of a later upgrade. Food choice's poor, especially for vegetarians. Only one dedicated menu item at poolside Bar and bistro (which was good). No vegetarian menu at resort restaurant. When I asked what the vegetarian options were after seeing not a single one on the menu I was told...

The Green Dining is amazing and The Craft has a great menu, too. Service could have been better.
Mixed experience! Stayed here with family for a week. Pros: some staff are friendly, nice pools, gym, surrounded by lush gardens, and decent buffet breakfast. Cons: rooms are tired. Location not near anything unless you drive, including supermarket and chemist etc. Our room was missing a curtain meaning lack of privacy and a light shined into the room at night. We weren’t able to check in until after...
The resort itself is set in lovely tropical grounds with a couple of nice pools and a decent gym. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but were given free drink cards so had a drink while we waited around half an hour after their specified check in time. Rooms were clean but tired. A curtain was missing from our room so we had light streaming in all night and not the best privacy. Our towel rod was...
Nice clean rooms, large grounds. Rooms had a bar fridge which was handy for a travelling for work as I could keep my own food cool. This resort is away from the beach and main shopping and eating areas so good if you have a car. Undercover parking was free. The best thing about this resort was the gym. The gym was the best equipped gym of any hotel I have ever been to. There was a large room with...
The staff was lovely, the restaurant food was outstanding. The quality of rooms wasn't worth as much. We extended our stay from 4 nights to 6nights, we were asked to move to another room didn't have a spa..only a bath. The bathroom fan wasn't working and yet, they have a sign on mirror saying not to leave door open to avoid setting off alarm. So it was like having a shower inside a sauna. The lived...
Only spent one night but would definitely return. Checking in was pleasant with friendly, welcoming staff. Rooms are quite large, clean and very comfortable. Would recommend to families as well. Room rates very good price. If you are a golfer perfect.

Rooms are satisfactory. I didn't mind as you don't spend much time in them. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. Advise trying to find a deal online before booking. Our kids ate for free which saved us hundreds over our 5 night stay. Pools and waterslides were a lot of fun for the kids, albeit a bit packed when we were there
The rooms aren't overly spectacular but were clean and comfortable. A great place for kids!! Although, I felt my Mr 2 couldn't benefit from a great deal and the water in the pool/water park areas was absolutely freezing cold. Definitely a great place to revisit when he's older. Lovely staff and very handy idea to be able to sign your child/ren in to the kids club for a few hours of fun, if you're so...
Perfect for young families wanting to keep the kids entertained on the days you aren't going to theme parks. The pools, play equipment and kids activities are perfect for kids up to about 14. Bar and Food prices are reasonable considering you are somewhat isolated. Supermarkets nearby if needed. All shuttles and buses to attractions land here and tickets can be booked onsite at the mini mart. The facility...
Our family loved our stay at Paradise Resort. Our 3yo loved the water park! Our 1yo had lots if fun too.Even to this day if our son sees us packing to go somewhere he asks enthusiastically 'Are we going to Paradise Resort?'

great cooling and comfy room, amazing food at the restaurant too!
Heard about for a long time, never been until today. Great place, kids loved it, great location. Food was spot on, plenty of drink choices too. Once my dad gets out here from the UK will be coming back for sure, if not, either way will be back!
This is hands down the best place I have gone to for steak!!! Amazing food and amazing service I would 100% recommend going here! 300 gram sirloin steak with garlic sauce chips and mash is my go to!!
Woman at reception is the nicest person imaginable! We had a great experience here! Room service gave us new supplies every morning and the atmosphere was always so friendly and sweet. Thanks for a great vacation!
Service was good, staff in general were nice.. saw an older lady cleaner be rude to a lesbian couple. Our room had a busted aircon unit so we got moved to a bigger room with plenty of space free of charge and really made a difference, slightly softer mattress although they are all firm. Pillows are comfy. Guiness pie, mash and peas $27 i felt was pricey but very enjoyable. Spa didn't work but drink...
Lovely authentic Irish bar. We had a lovely time enjoying a few cold ones of the black stuff. We will certainly visit again as the staff were great and friendly.
