Very mixed opinion to be honest.
For a penthouse apartment you would assume it would be clean and things would be looked after...

The walls had glue and blue tack on them from previous stays, the bathroom had hair on the wall and roof, but to mention the fan not working and the mould on the tiles and dirty shower had.
The balcony was quite dangerous, the wooden floor had holes and pieces missing resulting in an injury to one of the girls staying there.

The staff were quite lovely.

Overall, wouldn't recommend unless the prices were much lower and it was for s quick budget stay between locations.

Also, parking can be a pain!
There is a 2 minute drop off directly outside, and a few 2 hour metered parking spaces just outside too.

The hotel provides free unlimited water and milk, which is very rare. Most of the hotels we stayed in Australia did not have water.
The service is also good, with staff 24 hours a day.
The only inconvenience is that the parking spot is a bit far away.

I remember going here, many years ago when it was Mrs Parmas. Popped in on a Friday night looking for a less noisy place. A nice welcome by friendly professional staff. Good Beer choice and food offering.

Fantastic experience for me & teenager kids. We loved being so close to the Princess Theatre & great cafes & food & city centre. The staff were so welcoming and even changed the bar fridge when I said I’m not drinking alcohol so they changed it to suit us! Lollies & chomps in the lobby we’re a favourite and the towels & beds made each day. Staff outlined a map for suggestions & we felt so welcomed with a Jenga game & smiles! Definitely coming back. Home away from home in Melbourne.

We had an early check in (which was unheard off without a cost these days) though our intention was to check if carpark/care off luggages were available. The room was a good size with TV in every room. The living space was huge and there were complimentary drinks and snacks in the room and at the lobby. It was a plesant expereince with amenities at bay - banks, restaurants, cafes, malls.

Had a great 3 night stay here. Staff were so friendly and accommodating with free snacks and mini bar. An issue however was that our room had no windows to open, causing our room to feel stuffy at all times.

We loved everything about Laneways, from the way we were treated on the phone before arrival, all the way through until our departure. The hotel was stylish, bed incredibly comfy, and AMAZING extra touches like free mini bar and complimentary drink on arrival. We were in the heart of everything as well. Excellent location

The team at Ovolo try their best at making you feel at home despite ongoing renovations in the hotel. We were there for the Cursed Child play next door and the staff gave us a great tip for the intermission ;) the additional perks made up for the few shortcomings namely brought up by the ongoing renovation. Hope to stay again when the renovations are finished and the restaurant is fully open! :)

Another great hotel by Ovolo. They always go above & beyond to ensure you have a great stay. Excellent rooms, lots of cool artwork on the walls, great mini bar, the restaurant was being renovated when we were here so didn't try to food but would be keen to when it's open. Thanks Ovolo!
