Marina Hotel, Sunny Day

We were here a year ago and had a great time, so we decided to come back and bring friends this summer.

Air Conditioner - We were a total of nine rooms. Only one room had a properly working AC. No AC was fixed by the end of our stay.

Dripping sealing - Rooms had multiple issues including leaking ceilings in the bathrooms. The smell coming down was like sewage, a very swamped smell. We informed the front desk immediately, no action was taken during the week of our stay other than buffing down the smell daily. The sealing looks like I have been having this issue for a while.

Cleaning - the staff kept the rooms pretty clean although they are run down and need deep refreshing.

Food - nothing compared to my previous visit. Very limited menus every day. The variety was half of the previous visit. Last year they had pasta station where they combined the pasta with sauce in front of you, no more of that. No pizzas. Chicken was present in every meal in a different form. Seafood one dinner meal only and mainly processed calamari, fish fingers.

Desert station - very limited. I was surprised to see a shortage of watermelon and melons. Even when we asked for more we were informed that there would be no more for that service. Next meal service as we were serving ourselves, two big plates with watermelon were brought to our table from the restaurant manager in order not to run out again. This was a very sad experience, all inclusive with a shortage of watermelon in Bulgaria.

The drinks - good selection, however everything was warm with huge shortage of ice. No ice? Come on! Another sad experience.

Service - overall good. They are trying and making a magic with what they have. The manager Mr.Stoianov were no were to be found after our first night. It is convenient when I assume he is aware with all the issues that the hotel is struggling with.

It was disappointing to see this hotel with beautiful beach to be left out of maintenance.
Definitely not coming back until there are improvements.

As a family hotel you should expect kids and babies therefore you must have at least a few cattles on demand. also nets on the balcony doors are a must we had mosquitoes and LARGE hornet in the last night of our holiday and we had to move in small room with single beds. We paid for apartment.

The location is amazing. And that's the one positive feedback about the hotel.
The food is tasteless and low quality, the rooms are ridiculously small (totally not appropriate for family with a kid) and the bathrooms are old and worn-our, cosmetics are not available. The air-conditioning wasn't working and it wasn't fixed although the handyman entered our room with dirty clothes and shoes and did nothing. Noone cleaned the room for 5 days.
The hotel is not more than bad 3star experience. It's not worth it.

Starting with the positives, the hotel enjoys a fantastic beachfront location. The restaurant service was good, and the food received an "okay" rating. However, turning to other aspects, the hotel proved to be quite disappointing. It appeared as though no renovations had taken place since its original construction. The rooms were small, lacking air conditioning in the family room we had booked. The bathroom featured a cramped layout with an open shower that left the floor wet. Basic amenities like hand soap and even toilet paper of lower quality were missing. Additionally, the swimming pool was unclean, with sand present. Guests were limited to one towel each for pool and beach use daily. Despite booking for three nights, we departed after just two, without being questioned at the reception about our early departure. Our attempts to communicate this to the receptionist went unnoticed. In summary, if you're 18, not seeking high standards, and interested in a party atmosphere with friends, this could be the ideal destination.
