Hotel Excelsior - All Inclusive

The Hotel per se was really pretty. We liked the Hotel complex with the pool. We were 3 people staying there for a week. The room was big enough for us and was quiet comfy. The AC was great. Balcony and bathroom were more spacious than we thought.
But the room was not clean when we arrived. What we also learned is that for the first three days our room wasn't cleaned. No new toilet paper and it was not moped. Evidently because my feet were dirty again after I showered and walked to the bed.
And eventhough the minibar was powered on, it didn't get cold.
The interior of the restaurant was fitting and welcoming. The food was okay most of the time. But on two different days we found moldy bread. When we told the personal/servers, they asked us what to do about it. They did change out the bread at least. Some of the egg dishes also tasted foul. Which was a shame. The server were really fast with clearing the table, sometimes a little too fast. :)
The barkeepers were great, as well as the receptionists (that sadly got the wrong check-out informations from FTI). A special mention as we really liked Eli.
We rented a safe at the reception which was pretty cheap over-all.
Sadly it was said there would be some kind of entertainment but only 2 of the nights actually were with entertainment options. Again a little disappointing but understandable at the end of season.

The food is average, you can find ok courses, but I didn't look forward to it very much so we came to eat here just for breakfast and dinner (even we had all inclusive). We fought the smell of cigarettes (around hotel, but also halls so attacking room as well), unfortunately it is not just the hotel but probably Bulgaria generally. Personal was nice and helpful.
Btw it's not 350m, but at least 600m to the beach (most crowded), and better 2km to less crowded places!

It looks medium class hotel. Food some days was good, some days very bad... Location a little bit far from beach, but its no problem, because hotel have van who can bring to the beach evry hour. We got good room, big and clean. I think you get evrything for this price, but I will not come here again, because I saw better hotels for this price in Golden sands
