SPA Club Bor Hotel

The hotel is not very modern and needs renovation. It's more like 2 star hotel than a 4 star as it is listed. I went for the spa only but the pool was cold, the jacuzzi was not very clean, and the steam room was also cold. The only good thing was the sauna. It was my first time in Velingrad but I was not very impressed. Overall 3/10 for the spa.

A service to remember but not the one to be dreaming for. Most of the staff is probably under 30 years old. No one cares what exactly feels the customer. The food is bad. The kids place is more than terrible with no fresh air or day light. I won't come back.

Location is the best part of the stay; it is 100 meters (1 staircase) from the center of the town.
The service is good and the staff is helpful.

That is were the good part ends, the rooms are big but very fragile, everything I touch was falling apart.
The Spa was not with mineral water that was a surprise for me.
We had breakfast included, the food was not enough for the people in the hotel in the time it felt like we need to fight for some of the more desirable items. The coffee machines were 3 but only 1 worked, and half of the refreshments were not available.

Absolutely disaster,me and my family booked a room a few months ago. So we close in on check-in date and at the reception told me that I must pay additional fees but without receiving message or email. Also the restaurant and gym were not working and we got stuck in the elevator. Nightmare hotel,would never go back again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Poor reception and attitude, very unkempt facilities and in need of deep cleaning. Paid to use the pool for some time and was not provided with towels as we were not considered "guests of the hotel". Absolutely disgusting attitude from the staff. Will not return or recommend. So sad to see this happening in our country. It could all be so much better and easier!

This hotel is nowhere near 4 stars. Maybe it used to be years ago, but now very outdated, worn-out and neglected.
Outside pool area - if you saw the picture and you expect to have umbrellas around the lounge chairs, don't. There are only 3 umbrellas for the whole area. There are chairs that have shade from the trees but it's only on the morning hours. More than half of the chairs don't have shade and you have to get there very early on the morning to get chair under the shade. The sun in the mountains is very strong, so definitely not good. If you saw chairs around the outside pool - they are not there anymore. They told me that they burned from the sun last year. But because I complained about not having enough umbrellas and chairs around the pool, they brought a table from the inside and put it outside for me. The manager told me, that they will bring out an umbrella, but that never happened.
Outside pool water - very cold. There is a fence and no chairs next to the pool as pictured.
Inside pool - water was warm but horrible smell around the pool. Windows were very dirty, cant see through them. Pool is 160m everywhere. No shallow area, no steps in the pool. You either have to be very good swimmer, or you have to be taller than 165 to be comfortable in the pool. Definitely not for kids. The kids pool was actually a baby pool.
Rooms - another disappointment. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, worn out springs and sinking in the middle. I complained about it and they brought a mattress topper which didn't really fix the problem. Furniture were old, bathtub had a crack. A huge mosquito killed and still stuck on the wall above the bed.
Restaurant - we had dinner included, buffet style. Food was cold and very low quality. Restaurant was super hot. AC was working only on one part of the restaurant.
Kids playground - hidden somewhere in the grass and bushes.
We came at the end of June, but they were still not prepared for the season.
Overall, very disappointing and would not recommend it to anyone!
