Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, Montreal1 / 50

Montreal, 1155 Sherbrooke Ouest 🧭 Map
It's clear this hotel lost some of it's 5-star status. I had a hole in one of my towels; the spa and restaurants were closed, and the property felt underwhelming. On the positive side: The front desk and housekeeping was incredibly kind and professional. The location is incredible. It's walkable to great shops and restaurants. The sleeping situation was excellent. I loved the bedding, pillows...
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and peaceful hotel. Comfortable room with amazing pillow top bed. Couldn’t even tell construction was happening. Lack of bar or restaurant, but that did add to the peacefulness. Gave 4 passes for breakfast and accepted all of them at the two times I attended breakfast with my partner. But at checkout, charged for two breakfasts because I made the hotel reservation...
Pros: The room was very comfy; bed was very soft, but firm, duvet was very soft, had 2 pillows that were hard and soft. The bathroom was amazing, there was a heat lamp in front of mirror and a thermometer for the bathroom itself. Rain shower was amazing, just wish there was more ledge space in there and maybe some side showers too. It was nice to have an ice and water machine on the floor which allowed...
My family and I recently stayed at the Sofitel Hotel in Montreal, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Initially, the room we booked did not fully accommodate our needs, especially since we were traveling with young kids. However, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They upgraded us to a stunning penthouse suite at no additional cost. The suite was spacious...
I had an upgrade to a Junior suite and I loved the experience. The bathroom was spacious and the bedroom was just right the bed was as usual excellent and my view on the Mount Royal was super nice.
rare find in comfort, outstanding food, and incomparable service. asked to have my car brought around so i could get my sunglasses, valet offered to get them from car and have them at the bell desk - when I asked "you'd get them for me?" he replied "it would be my greatest pleasure". Carly at the front desk started our weekend stay with an upgraded room, royal treatment, checked in on us during the...

Popped into the Starbucks for a coffee and bagel and day in the Hotel Le Crystal's lobby. Was really modern. Loved the crystal chandeliers.
Went to the hotel for a professional event. The staff were amazing and respectful. Every room/place i went were perfectly clean anfld cozy. Very nice place.
My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at the Hotel Le Crystal during our visit to Montreal. The location is great - walking distance to public transportation and in less than 20 minutes you can make it to the historic old town area right by the water. Nearby to the hotel are a ton of restaurants, shops, cafes, and a popular shopping Street so there are Endless Options for things to do in the immediate...
Beautiful suite! Very clean with friendly staff who speak both French and English. Very lovely luxury hotel close to pubs and many nice eating establishments.
A really fantastic experience in downtown Montreal. Well be better when they complete construction across the street
Pool area has great coffee in the morning. Nice area to relax. Hotel is good but not 5 star. 4 for sure though.
Beautiful hotel in fabulous location in Montreal! Right in the middle of the city, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the Old Montreal, etc… Super comfortable bed with soft, cooling sheets. Sparkling clean! Lovely, welcoming staff!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was conveniently located in the city. The room was clean and a fairly good size.
Stayed here for F1. Rates were reasonable for the busiest weekend of the year. Room was nice, bed comfortable, hotel bar was good and got a great night’s sleep. Location is less than 10 min walk to subway station and we were back at hotel after F1 race on Sunday within 40 mins. Incredible. They also had a free shuttle van taking people to the subway if needed. Would definitely do this again.
This was our first time staying here and we were pleasantly surprised! The rooms are in good condition and the beds are comfy. There’s an indoor heated pool, which we enjoyed. (There’s also an outdoor pool, but we didn’t use it.) The Front Desk staff and bartender were very kind! They also offer a shuttle service within a 3km radius, which was very quick for us. I wouldn’t recommend dining in the restaurant...
Good place. Comfortable room. Enjoyed the pool, but it was weirdly warm. We stayed away from the restaurant, too many bad reviews. Instead we walked to Cora's. Convenient proximity to the Biodome, Botanical gardens, and the metro too. Parking was very convenient. Area was busy for driving but we knew that going in.
The room was spacious, and the resurant on site and pool was enjoyed by the kids.
The rooms were clean and recently refurbished. Bathrooms are great, with nicely tiled, walk-in shower. Beds were very comfortable and felt new, as did the pillows. Unfortunately the windows don't open but the AC worked fine. Everyone was helpful and friendly including the man who worked in the little convenience shop. Ate a light dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Old Montreal. Had a lovely stay here. The Basilica greets you as you approach the hotel down cobblestone streets. Simply park out front and the valets will be with you to assist in unloading your luggage. The room was comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was great with a full tub and large walk in shower. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and kind from...
Overall nice hotel. Clean. Breakfast downstairs was delicious and service was good. Our room was very hot the first night I could barely sleep and our thermostat wouldn’t go below 20. They gave us a fan the next day and that improved it. Large room with nice tub and shower. Staff were friendly. Great location. Cons: toiletries are refillable so anyone can put anything in there. No screens on the windows...
Beautiful hotel! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Our room is beautiful as well. Bed is in its own room for privacy. Kitchenette with cooktop. Nice living room area. The bathroom is wonderful with a big tub, a handheld shower option, and the toilet is not right next to the shower, so it's a pretty roomy bathroom.
What an incredible and amazing experience at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left… nothing short of amazing! Our family with 2 kids stayed here for two nights and had the best time. Best location… nicest staff and amazing rooms. Loved it and couldn’t recommend this boutique hotel more!!! Thank you for such an amazing experience.
Excellent location, with some of the front desk staff being very helpful. The room was spacious and overlooked the cobbled street which was very nice. The location was in close proximity to many of the landmarks and the nearest train station was less than a 5 minute walk. Plenty of places to grab a drink and relax.
This was the best hotel experience I have had in Canada. The service was absolutely incredible. It was not just one person it was the same with every single staff member we dealt with. They just do the little things so well. we asked to have our car brought to the front door at 630 am and Manuel from the front desk personally pulled it up to the front and knocked on our door at 630 am on the dot to...

St Paul is very well located in McGill street in Montreal. Close to old town and with several options of restaurants and bars. In the ground floor a nice Japanese restaurant with great cocktails as well. Restaurant is a bit overpriced but the food is delicious. The hotel is very good but may need some renovation specially in the common areas.
The Hotel St Paul was wonderful. The location was perfect within the historic area and very close to multiple restaurants and attractions. The over all atmosphere was trendy and welcoming. Lobby was so cool and the guest rooms were perfect. The best feature was the staff. They were all amazing, patient, responsive & super great to deal with. I would definitely return to this hotel!
Staying at Hotel St. Paul in Old Montreal was unforgettable. This boutique hotel blends design and lifestyle, feeling both like home and a luxurious retreat. We had an absolutely amazing time at Novotel Montreal Centre. Location is just perfect walking distance to all attractions. The rooms were spacious and spotless, crisp bed sheets. first time staying at Montreal downtown Novotel. The staff were very courteous and the minimalistic design of the hotel was modern and exciting. Relatively small things to note - the whole minimalist motif meant that the room had no standard dresser drawers. A small one could have fit beside the main desk - we were left leaving our clothes in our suitcases. The shower looked great and worked well,...
Great location, but not clean and there was mold in the shower. The bathroom door needed to be re-painted or completely replaced. They did open the sofa bed upon arrival but it needs to be replaced. There was a spring sticking out. Price does not reflect the quality.
It was a great stay for a mix of business and pleasure. Room was fantastic. Meeting space was comfortable with all essentials amenities. Food services were excellent. The location was fantastic, as well, as it gave immediate access to endless choices of restaurants, shops, and activities / events. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Happy, friendly, and proficient staff. Rooms were always cleaned well. This hotel is a great location a short walk away from two train lines. Staff went the extra mile to help microwave food every morning as the rooms do not come with microwaves. Also happily took out minibar drinks to accommodate room for food in the mini fridge. Thanks!
Big room, clean, very nice and helpful stuff. Great location.

This has become my favourite place to stay in Montreal. I've probably stayed there a dozen times in the last 4 years. It has friendly helpful staff, the rooms are very clean/comfortable & the breakfast that comes with the room is yummy. Consistently great place to land & it's also a safe area to go for a walk at night.
We split up three nights here over a week during Osheaga. The location is perfect as it is less than 5 minute walk to a metro station. The rooms were clean and large with comfortable beds. The staff are excellent, they are responsive and attentive. The breakfast is good - nice pastries, juice, and cereal. The rooms are on the more modern end and overall a nice place stay. Love the location, you're walking distance to everything. Beds and pillows could be more comfortable, but that's definitely a preference thing!
Our room was spacious with a corner couch, a desk, and a refrigerator in the desk drawer. Interesting place for it, and it worked well. There is plenty of room in the frig. I was worried about booking here because of all the bad reviews but I have to say it was definitely not as bad as some people are making it out to be. Room was very clean, no bedbugs, clean beds, clean bathroom. Room did not smell bad at all, no stench. Beautiful and elegant lobby. Staff was kind and patient. It's a great location which is close to mostly everything and is walkable. Parking are expensive and hard to exit. Service is slow it takes about 15-30 mins to check every single client. A mixture between old and modern. No safe in the rooms and some of the furniture is older than desirable. Be careful with the type of breakfast you pay for. They can be rather nasty about it.

So thankful for this location. Had a very comfortable sleep and the staff are incredibly friendly. Best park? Onsite parking! I don't care for paying for it it's on the buildings lot. Great place for the venue we attended. Lots of fun close to everything you need. The beds were comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 Star for service was trying to get a luggage cart. I was told to go back to my room and dial 0, and they would come get it. It may sound like a five-star feature, but only if you're willing to wait for them. Everything we needed was a 3 to 5 minute walk.
My son and I stayed here for a weekend hockey tournament and I was impressed by the attention to detail of every aspect of the stay. They make sure to spread out the families from the same team so as not to create noise problems for other guests, and they have a strict system with hefty penalties for those who flout the rules. While it means your team can't run roughshod over a whole floor or a particular...
I really enjoyed my stay here. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The rooms are super modern and updated. The beds were so comfy. My only "issue" is that the bathrooms only have a "vent" and not an exhaust fan. So if we used the bathroom, the smell was still there when we got back to he room 6+ hours later. More often than not, we ended up using the bathrooms in. The lobby, to keep the funk...
Overall a decent experience. We thought this would be a good deal based on price and location, but turns out it’s priced just right- the pool was constantly overflowing with people (we never got to use it), and between one and two of the elevators were constantly out of commission. Had an excellent two nights' stay here. The room was spacious and tidy. The hotel is situated in the downtown area, close to restaurants and subways. One big positive was the complimentary coffee machines.
Excellent price for this hotel that had everything that we needed. Everything was clean and we even got a free upgrade. Great location close to the metro and some nice restaurants. The receptionist Raphaëlle was super friendly and I’d go back to this hotel just to have a chat with her!
Great experience overall! The location is very convenient, minutes away from Place-des-Arts and Chinatown. Metro line is also at a short walking distance, we used the UQAM stop which includes multiple lines at one place. The standard room was spacious and very clean. We read a lot of bad experiences about cleanliness issues at hotels in Montreal (bedbugs etc.) but we had absolutely no issues here....

The room was perfectly clean when I arrived and was nice and quiet throughout my staff. Front desk staff were all very friendly and accommodating...
Stayed last week for the weekend with my friends. Rooms were super comfy and clean, the location is also very convenient. The only disappointment was the pool, it was too small, but it compensates with the city view, very nice. Will definitely stay again if I'm visiting Montreal!
One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. The bathroom shower and tiles looked brand new and the best was exceptionally comfortable. Parking is expensive but its right downtown so it is to be expected. Best part of the parking is that they allow in-out privilege's.
Excellent hotel, staff are amazing and go out of their way to help you.
As a hotel the facilities were great. But the some of the staff was really, REALLY not friendly and welcoming. When I arrived their machines did not want to accept my Credit Card for the deposit (100 CAD). So I called my bank and they told me that the transaction does not even make it over to them, so the problem is with the place I am trying to make the purchase. So I asked whether I can pay cash...

It's a residence...nothing too exciting to mention. Rooms are "meh" but not bad. Housekeeping didn't make my bed or actually clean when they came in. Only emptied the sink. That was the big miss that I had
The best place to stay in Montreal for a short or long stay. In the heart of downtown Montreal, accessible by metro and bus. Near to Rue St Catherine where the shopping centers, restaurants, cinema and arcades. The room is spacious, with a kitchenette where you can cook quick and easy meals. Breakfast is included, too. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely go back here.
Yes, the elevators are slow and small but they're in no way a deal breaker. We absolutely loved that it was located so centrally within the city. We were able to explore the city on foot with a little one. The staff was very kind, always helpful, and always had a smile on their face. The breakfast was wonderful, nothing too special but enough to fill your belly to take on a day of adventuring or business...
Typical Marriott Residence Inn; staff were all friendly and helpful, and of special note, while breakfast is the typical chaos the staff working there worked very hard to keep everything supplied and the area clean. Room was great but the elevators are the slowest and smallest I've ever used/been in (didn't help they were being renovated and only two of the three were in service) and be aware that...
Very nice hotel and great staff. The hotel is nearly brand new and I expected a small, in-city room but that was totally not the case. The rooms were good sized and comfortable. The staff very friendly. Great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. A bit of walking to do the touristy things but the city overall is very manageable. I will stay there again next time my travel takes me to Montreal.
Really enjoyed my stay here. I had been once before and almost didn't recognize the place. The rooms have been recently renovated (within a couple years I would say) and look great, although the bathroom lighting wasn't amazing. Location to shopping and restaurants is perfect and it's in a nice area. The staff was all very nice, especially the breakfast staff who did a fabulous job keeping the area...
