Comfortable beds, well-equipped bedroom, nice breakfast and heated pool. Very satisfied with the hotel.
Perfect place for a quick getaway to relax. You can enjoy the pool or hit the exercise room, great little breakfast in the morning. Staff are great. Rooms are clean and fresh
Nice hotel, clean, and staff were friendly. Rooms could use a facelift. Some peeling wallpaper, and dated furniture.
Comfortable room in a newer hotel. Desk is good to work at. Shower is large and modern. Services and transit within walking distance at Kanata Centrum. Consistently busy so make sure you have a reservation. Hockey teams on weekends can be noisy in the halls.
Spacious and clean room! Excellent choice for stay in this area. 5-10 min walking distance to the mall and restaurants...
Stayed here for two weeks for work. The rooms were tidy, clean and well equipped for an extended stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great as it's close to the highway, shopping and business area.

We had a wonderful experience at the Lord Elgin for our wedding and related block booking. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly kind and patient. We felt comfortable and well taken care of and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The hotel restaurant is also stellar, be sure to grab lunch or dinner at least once - you won't regret it!
Great location, good room with very comfy beds. Service very good. The corridor carpets are in need of replacing but they were in the process of dealing with this whilst we were there. Can't really fault it and a very nice hotel to stay in.
I loved this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty. The valet parking is chaotic. Twice, I had to drive on the sidewalk to get through the jam at the front door. Also, the A/C blew over the bed and was too drafty. It was either too high, even at the lowest setting, or we had to turn it off, leaving us a bit warm. I loved the old world feel of the place...
We spent two nights at the Lord Elgin Hotel. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and very good room darkening curtains. I was also pleased at how quiet the room was. The doormen were all very accommodating and gave us some great recommendations on places to eat and were knowledgeable about the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay
We had an incredible first stay at the Lord Elgin Hotel! The room was fantastic. We rented the Churchill Suite for our wedding. It was a fantastic room for us because it had a full and well-stocked kitchen (napkins, plates, cutlery, serving utensils), a living and dining space, and an additional bathroom, making it a great space for hosting family and friends. The bed was comfortable and the room...
Stayed 2 nights with my wife and kids and everyone was happy and comfortable with our room. The pool especially was a very nice temperature, there was a hot tub as well. We were close public parking so we did not use the valet. The staff were exceptional regardless. Close to everything and the park view was beautiful.

Great hotel to stay in Ottawa near downtown. My rating is as per below parameters Staff - friendly and helpful staff. Ready to help in every way possible. Rooms - clean and new looking rooms, the color and quality of furnishings is very good. The rooms have a mini sink, mini fridge and a microwave. if you don't need a kitchen, then the rooms have everything you need. Bathrooms - clean and fresh. Wallpaper...
Our stay was wonderful. All of the staff were kind and welcoming. The room we stayed in was excellent. It was extremely clean. It was so clean, I went looking for any form of mess and couldn’t find any. Not a speck of dust, dirt, not even water marks left in the sink or shower. The decor was also modern and tasteful. The complimentary breakfast had lots of option and was kept tip too shape by the staff...
I had a great experience staying here. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and the amenities were good. The breakfast was awesome. Definitely one of the best free breakfasts I have had in a long time. The staff were so nice that they allowed me to do my training remotely because of bad weather, even after I checked out. I really appreciate that. These kinds of little gestures...
We stayed in the hospitality suite for 3 nights. There was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen sink and iron. Room was spacious, neat and offered beautiful view of the street and ongoing traffic. It was approx. 10-15 min driving distance from all major attractions. Free underground parking and breakfast were included, which were great and not provided by many other hotels. Indoor pool access...
It’s a great place to stay, excellent location for our son’s Ottawa University drop off. Room was very spacious and bed was very comfortable. Everything is close by and you don’t have to drive much to get to anywhere in and around Ottawa. Two amenities could be improved upon is parking and the breakfast area. Both are limited in space. Otherwise this Hotel is value for your money. Highly recommended
Rooms were more than satisfying. The sofa bed not so comfortable. Pillows were missing for the sofa bed. Indoor parking is a great plus ... except when it becomes full, then you need to use the outdoor space at the back of the building. Complementary breakfast is varied and very good. Staff is very friendly, especially the lady who runs the breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor.

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and came with a good variety of amenities. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options including fruits, milk, tea, coffee, eggs, and burgers. The location is ideal, with easy walking access to attractions like ByWard Market, the National Gallery, and Parliament Hill. While it can get a bit noisy at night because of nearby...
I love this property so much and I will always stay here when I’m in Ottawa. I would like to give a special shout out to Abdul & Angelo at the front desk. These two individuals are one of the main reasons I love it here. There personal touch, personalities and professionalism are next level. The way they perform there position day in and day out makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and at your home...
Loved this Inn. We have been traveling the east coast for a week and a half. This was our favourite hotel experience so far. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It had a balcony which was really nice. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. It is a little off the beaten path, but we like that. Parking was a bit squishy but we made...
The rooms were up to date with comfy beds. There’s a number of styles of rooms so just don’t look at the pictures, read the room type you’re looking for and you’ll be fine. It is only a 10-15 min walk from everything. We parked the car for the whole stay. The weather was great, the lobby has large collection of umbrellas to borrow if you’re not as lucky. The breakfast buffet had a variety of...
Had a great experience at this hotel. Location is good and close to many good restaurants. You don’t need to spend time in the morning to go buy the food as breakfast is included. There were different forms of egg, some jam, tea, coffee and fruits and cereals, etc options. Room was clean and nicely taken care of. There was AC in room which is great. Staff at reception are very welcoming and polite...
Location is perfect, handy parking next door and the staff are extremely professional. It’s an older building but evident they’ve made an effort to maintain it and everything is very clean. Our room is spacious. Nice artwork throughout the hotel. Very good breakfast. The only thing that would improve our stay is the bed mattress is probably due for replacing - which is an easy fix.

I like the layout I like the ease at which I could change my reservation midday and I like that I was able to do a cash deposit after my return visit that was very convenient for me
The rooms, are not bad, but some the employees are rude, I had made reservations a week in advance, only to find out they had given away my room, and when I tried to get some answers they hung up on me.
Very clean motel and modern and the service is great me and my hubby as been going here for a good 15 years ..and it has a nice swimming pool too.
The place is cozy and very good to stay for a night or two, once opening the room door there was a good smell, which relieved after a long day of work, I gave it 4 stars not 5 just because the front desk man didn’t provide me a receipt for the room, also he insisted to get the car licence plate number, he made me go back and forth a couple of times which I didn’t like after 12 hrs working. Overall...
We came here the day before and after my boyfriend had day surgery at Gatineau hospital. The motel was very quite considering there were a lot of construction worker's from out of town staying there. The room was nice and the desk clerk was very compassionate knowing exactly what we needed the room for, he tucked us in a easily accessible ground level room away from most of the other guests. A little...
I've been here a few times for 3-5 days work trips. The rooms are good, the beds are comfy and the cleaning staff do a really nice job! The only thing is the poor wi-fi connection.

Lady at front desk was not helpful, pleasant or interested in moving at a promptly speed to check us in. Asked about airport shuttle and wasn’t interested in talking. I asked if the shuttle ran at 3 am for and was told no 4. I asked if I could get on the shuttle at 4 and she said ya probably. When 330am rolled around I called the front desk and asked if the shuttle was still running at 4am and the...
Sustainable management in regards with use of plastic. You get to choose between paper cups or porcelin mugs. You get plenty of shampoo and soap since they have a bottle, so not wasting disposable plastic containers here. In each room there is recycling bin. Breakfast is good. Their rooms not smelly, staff are polite, the service in general is good compared to the price you pay. Accessible, cozy and...
Parking....We did not get free parking but it was arranged to meet our needs. Had to pay the he price was fair
I booked this hotel because Fairfield was fully booked and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a bit further from the airport but it is right in the same plaza as a Tim Horton's. Their King suite was a great size and in good condition for the age. The pool was small but enjoyable. The breakfast was nice. They provide it in a container and you can easily take it to go. The best part is that they serve...
Great price, friendly staff, wifi, free parking, indoor pool (open!!) and included breakfast. Had a nice room with separate bedroom, king bed, fireplace, 2 windows and a big TV. Very quiet. So..the pool isn’t huge and the breakfast is boxed but if you want more expect to pay more, much more. It’s Ottawa
We enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was very helpful and when we met staff in the halls, they too were very pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was different from the usual, but since we were leaving early it was satisfactory. The shuttle service to the airport was great. It's only a 5 minute trip and since I hadn't been in that area for 10 years, the driver filled us in on all the...

New review: I stayed at the beacon hill motel for 3 months. (129) From the end of August to the beginning of November. It was such a comfortable stay, the bed was nice, the rooms where cleaned regularly and the lovely ladies who clean the room made sure everything was nice and fresh. Was not a 5 star as it isn't one. However despite my immediate impression upon the first 3 mins of being on the property, I almost left. The owner showed me the room, the room did not match the exterior. Clean, newly renovated, really nice room. Big bed, big tub, small fridge right beside the bed, big tv, maid service, extra towels when you need it.
Great rooms, stayed for one night only. Friendly staff. Room was a little on the cold side with only 1 small radiator for the whole room, but it was also fighting with -20 weather outside to be fair.
Much cleaner than it used to be . Friendly staff . Cheap and WiFi and breaky . It's across from my father's old residence so much memory for me. Close to all

Pleasantly surprised! Room was comfy and clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Outside needs curb appeal but a cost friendly motel for downtown.
not bad, I was pretty ok with the place, room 118, ground level, clean room, good hot water in the shower, stayed there over the family day long weekend, close to the market for a good walk. Breakfast was good, coffee was hot, parking was tight, a lot of snow so I get it. yeah I would stay there again.
It was a clean place to sleep. The breakfast was simple but starchy. The best shawarma place is supposed to be across the street from it but I wasn't able to try it out. It is also really close to the core Parliament area especially if you need to be somewhere near Sussex drive.
It was a very comfortable stay at Econo Lodge. The room was super clean with all the basic things included. Speaking about location, it's in the heart of the downtown making it easy for any commute. The location also had many restaurants which were convenient to reach on foot and quick delivery. A 24/7 concierge and service was good. Apart from this, the lodge has a large parking lot. It is worth visiting...
The position of the hotel is very good for everything that needs to be done in Downtown. There are plenty of nice restaurants and markets a short distance from the hotel.

it was amazing the people there were so nice and I found nothing wrong and they even clean you're room too so it's a nice place to stay in
Our first week here we found alot of needles and pipes around. Needless to say we werent impressed. Poor maintenance, the Wi-Fi signal barely works, never hot water, and the staff are less than proffesional. Dont forget the endless screaming of guests whove got their entire family with them (sometimes 8 ppl) in a single room. This place used to be so nice. I wish theyd make the effort to clean it up...
It's well center , you can walk to go to restaurants, LCBO right next door, superstore beside it , laundry mat on next block, you have all the commodity around the motel and it's a clean place
The place and prices are good for what it is. The reviews people post is as if though they are expecting luxury standards. Relax people. They have everything you need and are very helpful. In addition everything is walking distance and downtown is shy of 10 minutes away.
The staff is friendly and helpful. They accommodated me with 2 beds when I asked for one because they did not have a single bed. We got way more than we expected. I recommend this place for any traveler on a budget.

Lucy was an amazing and friendly host with a big warm smile. The house is both grand and quaint in perfect walking distance from everything in downtown Ottawa!
We stayed here because, knowing Ottawa quite well, we wanted the ease of a downtown location. The "Northern" room had a bathroom en-suite which we really wanted - not all the rooms do. The floors were pretty creaky which we didn't mind, but some people might. The biggest downside for us was the lack of internet connectivity in our room - it was quite weak. We couldn't use any streaming services or...
Absolutely phenomenal experience. We were in Ottawa for two nights and the location was just perfect. close to all the major landmarks and also there is a 24/7 diner close to the inn which makes it very convenient. I have to mention the host who was super humble and helped us throughout the stay. The place is clean, white and super comforting. Would definitely go again
Exactly as advertised. The room (Newfoundland) was quiet, and comfortable. The location was great (lots of restaurants and coffee shops around) and you could walk easily to most things. Very easy to get to. We had no issue with parking (paid an extra $10 for it…. I knew about this ahead of time). Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. A fair price for a very comfortable...
Quaint location, with a very nice room. Bed/bedding was very comfortable, and cozy. The interior has a well kept, Edwardian style which I apricated. The room was very clean, and quiet. They provide a continental breakfast (which we did not use), which looked well stocked and ready quite early. The owner is frankly adorable, and a pleasant introduction to the location. Check it out; it's a much...
We really enjoyed staying here. The host and staff are really nice and helpful and the Inn is in walking distance to many restaurants and bars. It was a bit noisy at night and the air conditioning in our room was broken which made sleeping in the late summer heat a bit uncomfortable. Other than that we loved it here, definitely staying here if we're making the trip to Ottawa again.

Close to airport which is why we chose it. Quiet rooms, staff was helpful, great beds and room was bigger than expected.
You get what you pay for. And I was happy with the price and what I got for it. Nothing was excellent but nothing was bad. Clean and cozy room, quiet and simple. Nice yard out front with cozy chairs to hang out and relax.
Was very clean WiFi, tv heater worked very well. Staff was very friendly and was nice breakfast cereal, fruit, yogurt coffee and home made muffins. Cleaning person had new towels and cleaned the room for our second night stay. Would stay again
I regularly use the Rideau Heights Inn when I am teaching the motorcycle course in Ottawa. I love it. The staff have always been very good to me. I can park right by the door to my room. The rooms are always clean. The location is great. The price is very reasonable. I recommend this highly.
I have read some of the reviews for this accommodation and I feel they are a bit harsh. People need to consider you get what you pay for in life. This inn , for its price point was wonderful. The staff I found friendly, the rooms were updated , warm and comfortable. I feel the stay was worth the price. I'm sure there is always better out there , but I feel this place was certainly worth the price...
