Hampton by Hilton Ottawa

Welcomed for being a basic Hilton Honors member with sincerity for the first time. Front desk staff super friendly, texts confirming stay was going well multiple times. Breakfast and staff amazing. Rooms were spotless, no stains, hair etc found anywhere in the room. Completely satisfied and then some , will be making this our go to hotel when in Ottawa from now on. Whatever management and the owner are doing is working, don’t change anything.

Hi there, maybe I’m a little ahead of myself here. It’s just that I got exceptional service. I don’t usually name the service person, but her name is Nuala and she was exceptional. Over the top I must say. I had had something that was going on with my mother who is suffering from some illness that affects her memory and cognitive skills. I can’t believe how pleased I was with the responses and care that I had from this person. I am one happy customer. And I would recommend this location strongly to anyone that is staying in our beautiful city. So refreshing.

The room was great. good space for a family of 4, 2 comfortable beds. Great location close to highway and shopping and 15 minutes drive to city center.

However the breakfast area is very undersized for the number of guests. It’s very crowded all the time with limited seating. The breakfast choices are very limited too.
For 3 days during a very busy long weekend one of the elevators was out of service. The entire hotel was serviced by only one functional elevator.

We did not have a previous booking at this hotel. It was an emergency late check-in, due to the recent flight delays which occurred this week in Ottawa.

The check-in process was so easy, efficient and courteous, all thanks to Benjamin being so helpful with our late night/early morning booking.

Our room was clean, spacious, and came with an ample supply of toiletries. The hotel amenities are expansive, including laundry facilities, indoor pool and fitness centre to name a few.

Breakfast is included, and offers a variety of choices, such as fresh fruits, hot and continental selections, along with the ability to make your own waffles (with two different flavour options).

The front staff has been extremely friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay, and have shown so much empathy for those whose travel plans were disrupted due to the ongoing travel delays.

The kitchen staff have prepared such a great variety of breakfast selections, which change each morning, and even the room attendants have been so pleasant to deal with.

You are all truly superstars, and anyone who stays at this hotel, I'm sure will be well taken care of because of this great group of people.

Although Hampton by Hilton are a bit further out than other airport hotels, I would highly recommend this hotel for all the above reasons.

I had a great experience staying here. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and the amenities were good. The breakfast was awesome. Definitely one of the best free breakfasts I have had in a long time. The staff were so nice that they allowed me to do my training remotely because of bad weather, even after I checked out. I really appreciate that. These kinds of little gestures make one stand out. Definitely worth recommending.

Great hotel to stay in Ottawa near downtown. My rating is as per below parameters
Staff - friendly and helpful staff. Ready to help in every way possible.
Rooms - clean and new looking rooms, the color and quality of furnishings is very good. The rooms have a mini sink, mini fridge and a microwave. if you don't need a kitchen, then the rooms have everything you need.
Bathrooms - clean and fresh. Wallpaper is bright and overall has got lot of space. They give toiletries in small bottles and fresh soaps
Parking - they have underground parking, which is free (best for winter/bad weather). Trucks with roof racks might not fit, so best to check with staff. Some Hilton brands charge 25$ plus tax per day (24 hrs). Elevator will take you to reception and room levels directly from the parking.
Breakfast - standard breakfast, didn't see lot of items compared to other Hilton brands, but standard menu is there. Considering price, its value for money.
Overall - Great place to stay and for the cost and free parking, this is definitely good value.

Our stay was wonderful. All of the staff were kind and welcoming. The room we stayed in was excellent. It was extremely clean. It was so clean, I went looking for any form of mess and couldn’t find any. Not a speck of dust, dirt, not even water marks left in the sink or shower. The decor was also modern and tasteful. The complimentary breakfast had lots of option and was kept tip too shape by the staff.

Not sure if this counts as a negative but it’s not down town but is within a 10 minute driving distance to great pubs, events, activities, etc.

We stayed in the hospitality suite for 3 nights. There was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen sink and iron. Room was spacious, neat and offered beautiful view of the street and ongoing traffic. It was approx. 10-15 min driving distance from all major attractions. Free underground parking and breakfast were included, which were great and not provided by many other hotels. Indoor pool access was given, which was great for kids. There is a gym as well. Coffee and hot water station is open 24hours.
