To be absolutely honest, I'm not sure how the hotel is a 4stars.
Firstly , the room is clean but the kettle was disgustingly dirty and the table fan (yes table fan and no aircond for 4stars hotel) given was broken so I had to call the reception to change it. Reception couldn't understand my English although I understand she clearly wanted to help but took a while and a few repeats of explanation to address my complaint.
the in room tv was all germany channels and a hint of some English channel but it says no satellite connection thru my 4days stay.Like comments from the others, the hotel feels dated and 80s and can smelly musky.
The restaurant services were great and friendly however, being a 4stars hotel , the morning and afternoon buffet spreads are limited choices for hot dishes , cold spread having a little more variety but for someone that doesn't like cold food , I'm only limited to a 3-4 trays of selection.

We expected more but it was quite alright. The food was good and the pool was great to relax. The fitness room was poor.

Having obvious walking problem but still sent to the furthest room (others were booked for the same group, dispatch done by the hotel receptionnist), besides having a half bed in addition.

The hotel backs on to an amazing garden with a lovely park down the road. Very central to the town. The buffet breakfast has a great variety foods. Parking at the hotel for us was about £12. Would definitely stay again.

Dürkheim is a hidden gem and well worth a weekend visit. Would recommend the hotel but brace yourself at the reception desk: the staff do not know what service is and are busy ignoring guests and display an arrogance I have not seen for quite some time. If you can look past this you'll have a nice stay.

Stayed one night. Was excellent experience. Very clean. Good ambience. Excellent breakfast with lot of options. Overall highly recommended.

A weekend to forget for all the wrong reasons.
We were there to celebrate a Birthday.
A restaurant waiter (mr Siira? / guy with beard) managed to spoil the event for us.
Never again - the attitude of the staff is hopeless.

Beautiful hotel, but the staff seems uninterested in serving. Slow and generally without a smile.

Restaurant is good. Items from menu are superbly prepared and I would recommend over buffet option. Casino and bar attached playing football and giving some nice options for adults, sub-optimal for little kids. A couple cool things as well like a park behind hotel and e bike rentals available in lobby

Die Zimmer entsprechen der Kategorie. Alles schön sauber. Leider keine Klimaanlage auf den Zimmern kann im Sommer schon mal recht warm werden bin beim Betreten des Zimmers unter dem Dach fast rückwärts raus aber abends konnte ich dann etwas lüften. Ein kleiner Ventilator war auf dem Zimmer vorhanden. Essen war super hatten volle Verpflegung (Tagung), mittags gab es Buffet gute Auswahl alles lecker und abends wurde gegrillt auch hier große Auswahl Bürger, 2 verschiedene Würstchen, Steak, Kartoffeln und Käse. Umgebung ist schön man kann auch super durch den Park schlendern oder bei dem Gradierbau/Saline durchatmen. Die Bedienungen waren stets sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
