It was good for my business trip. But if you want to enjoy the stay this hotel is not the place. The room had just the basic. No fridge or coffee maker or water boiler. No iron or anything extra that can make it fun to stay in.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Service and Unresponsive Staff
I recently stayed at this hotel in Heidelberg, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. When I returned to my room after a day out, I found it clean, but there were no towels or shampoo provided. I tried contacting the reception for assistance, but no one answered. I even went to the reception desk in person, only to find it unattended, with just a phone number to call.
When I called the number, the person I spoke to assured me that someone would bring the towels and other essentials. After waiting for more than half an hour, no one arrived. I tried calling again, but this time, there was no response at all.
Moreover, I don't really know, what the embloyees understand from DND! I hung it on the door knop, and the houskeeping just opened the door in the morning when we were on the bed ignoring the "don't disturb" sign !!!
This level of service is unacceptable for any hotel. It’s frustrating to not have basic amenities like towels and shampoo, and even more so to be ignored when trying to resolve the issue. I expected much better, especially considering the cost of the stay. I won’t be returning and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and responsive service.

Be careful not booking in the Annex - the room is ok-ish (though missing one external window and one radiator not functioning), but otherwise it's hell: the bed moves when the tram passes -no sleep outside of 01.00 to 6.30- and there is a bar/pub 2 floors below (forget about sleeping on Fridays and Saturdays). In a nutshell : hell.

Good old-fashioned German hotel directly on Bismarckplatz at one end of the pedestrian zone. Didn't eat breakfast in the hotel...too expensive, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby with more reasonable prices.
And Heidelberg is a gem! Spared the destruction of WWII, and even with the woes of mass tourism, it's still a place where people live, work, go to school and enjoy life.

Absolutely a fantastic location, could not fault it. Easy access to everything and close to public transport. The downside:
Can’t check in until 4pm!
No air con.
No safe.
No fridge.
No kettle/tea/coffee
The “double bed” was two unsecured singles that would slide away from each other.
If you were on a budget and needed to keep a sandwich or water cold….its a no go.
There is a coffee machine (which you pay for) at reception but they take it away.
Shower and bathroom were massive so that was nice.
Can’t check in until 4pm!

Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious, location is perfect, 20 min walk away from anything you might want to do

Clean convenient hotel. Lovely breakfast! Had an attic room which was very large but noisy from the trams!

I am really satisfied with my stay in this hotel. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. Bathroom was large with lots of towels. The location is excellent with the pedestrian shopping area being just a few steps away as well as very near from a tram station which made it easily accessible from the train station. Staff was neutral, the housekeeping is a bit weird though... They waited till the afternoon after we were back to clean the room and they knock for only a second before barging in with their own keys (happened twice while we were inside the room during our 2 night stay). Nice hotel all in all.
