Thermal bath! The thermal baths were amazing! Very relaxing weekend!

The hotel is located in a park by the river with a beautiful environment. It is next to the hot springs and is within a 10-minute walk to the city center, which is very convenient. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is rich.

Located on the banks of the Rhine, next to the World Heritage Site of the Upper and Middle Rhine Valley, it is very convenient to take a walk along the Rhine. The overall service is good and the service is very enthusiastic. Small town hotel, the front desk can help call a taxi.

The hotel is relatively old. I specially booked a room with a balcony facing the Rhine River. However, I found that the balcony was blocked and I could not see the Rhine River at all.

Check-in was seamless. The location by the Rhine was great. A nice corner. Free water in the room. But it's very noisy, so no chance of sleeping after 7 a.m. Breakfast was available, but sparse. I got a bathtub instead of a shower. The bathroom ventilation was completely blocked. Limescale on the shower head and old fixtures were exposed.

An outstanding experience with regional German food, including wild game, prepared and presented very nicely. Service is excellent, and there's an outdoor garden with music on weekends. I stayed with my young family of 4 for one night on our road trip down to Tuscany. What a unique experience to stay in such a wonderful castle. We loved the food especially the spaghetti. The hotel is located within a 15-min leisurely walk to a train station and a 10-min walk to a bus stop. This hotel has for sure the nicest view in Mainz, and only a few minutes from the city center. Just be aware that the rooms with view to the Rhein-river obviously have different categories, hence prices, to avoid being disappointed.

Very nice location - it is easy to reach the sights of Mainz and also to have a stroll along the river. During my stay there was some construction, that was not very pleasant. Also, make sure you are staying in the main building, or you will have to walk a long way with luggage... and help was not offered, although I had 2 suitcases. European hotel rooms tend to be small and drab - that was the case...

This is my second stay at this hotel. I stayed here a number of years ago. The reception staff is helpful and courteous. The rooms are nicely furnished, quiet and clean. The location is great! It is within walking distance to both the shopping district and the Hauptbahnhof. It is a terrific value for the money.

Yes the rooms are a bit dated but they are clean, the lighting is nice and the bathtubs are amazing and modern. The staff is so helpful and very sweet. When they found out that we were sick with colds they sent up tea, a kettle and fresh lemon to our rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

My partner and I stayed at the Oranien for 3 days while visiting Wiesbaden. Check-in was smooth and staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Our first room smelled of cigarettes – staff quickly resolved the issue, upgrading and moving us to a new room.
