Mercure Hotel Wiesbaden City

I just wanted to say, when reviews this detailed and bad appear on Google it makes me avoid hotels like this. Breakfast is important and polite staff is the most important. A quick check in after traveling should be the first clue whether or not a hotel staff is courteous and professional. I would rather pay double for what I want so I will go to the Nassauer Hoff this week.

The location is pretty nice but the rooms have a weird smell to it and look quite dated. Also the staff is rather unfriendly, when asked for some water they dismiss you to buy some at the bar, when checking in you have to do it yourself on some tablet, when I ordered a drink, it was actually only 70 % full, I really had to ask for a full drink which felt really ridiculous! Also wifi is absolutely horrible, wanna take some zoom calls on hotel wifi, definitely not happening!!

While the location is not bad, that is the only thing. I will certainly not be staying here again afraid.

Great breakfast, great swimming pool and sauna, room average, restaurant expensive and no proposition for food allergy like gluten-free, and outrageous if your have a dog: you'll be treated like a leper!!!!We had to eat where the smokers were, away from people whereas we have a well educated quiet dog, and paid extra money for him to stay! not even a bucket for his water!!!! SCANDALOUS!

Only reason it got two stars from me is because of the location. My room didn’t have power for two hours, breakfast bar was practically empty 45 minutes before closing and they didn’t refill anything, it’s over priced, the elevators need serviced or replaced, the staff is 50/50 some were nice some were rude, the price of the rooms are over priced, should be a 2 or 3 star hotel everything here just feels cheap. Wouldn’t stay here again if it was free. This place flat out sucks.

Nothing to complain about the room but I’m really disappointed with the staff. I arrived late for breakfast because I awoke late, I asked if I could have some coffee, a lady said I could have it. Then I took a coffee and a pastry and the staff interrupted me repeating that breakfast time was over… they could me let me finish in few minutes but they were unreasonable ant totally unfair to me. In my opinion unacceptable behaving and enough to don’t recommend this place.

Very poor service from the front desk personnel. First of all, I booked a hotel room for me, my wife and my son (a 9 year old kid) and before booking the room I called the hotel and the person from the front desk told me that everything was ok and my son would get a sofa bed or a bed as part of the reservation, free of charge as he is younger than 12 years. But h there today when on the next day when I called because I received a strange SMS on my mobile phone, I asked again for the extra bed and another person from the front Desk told me that I have to pay 30€ extra! Why? Why are they doing this? Basically it is a scam it is a fraud and misleading offer and service. Then I said I don’t want to pay extra because I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 kid and there was a price for it which I accepted, but nothing extra. Then this person told me that I needed to send an email to cancel the booking which I did, but they didn’t react to it and when I called to get the confirmation of the cancellation, they left me 1 hr on the phone waiting. These people don’t have any respect for the clientele and simply don’t care. I don’t recommend this hotel and I expect the management of this hotel and chain read this review in order to improve this.
Poor service. This hotel staff has to improve substantially to really work at the level they are supposed to, when they advertise themselves as a 4 star hotel.

Unfortunately very disappointing stay !!! Don’t come here !!! Emergency at home and you can’t change the reservation from two nights to one night without paying the full amount. On top you have to pay extra for each person to use the pool what is listed under amenities! What a bad customer service. We stayed in the past very often with Mercure. Never ever again us or anyone we now ! Stay away from this Hotel

The worst mercure I have ever stayed at!
I’m an Accor member and I love Accor hotels but this is not one of them! The room is very bad and not clean, I asked for a slipper, they charged me 2.5 euros! I went out and then came back and didn’t find the room tidy! I asked the receptionist why the housekeeping didn’t come, she told me that they come every second day! I asked for a water refill she told me it’s only the first one when you arrive is complementary and if you want water you may buy it from the bar!
I’m not talking about money here! I’m talking about the concept! I’m really shocked as I was here before and wasn’t like that at all!
I will never come back again to this hotel.
