The kids loved the outdoor pool area, sun loungers are very comfortable and again. the setting!! Breakfast was very good, lots of variety and lovely staff

I had mentioned it in an email many months before when I first started the booking process, I had no idea what would happen - they clearly made a note of the date and on the actual morning, at breakfast, we had flowers and a beautiful hand-written note to say congratulations

The staff are clearly very highly trained; servive is attentive without being overbearing. We felt very well minded at the end of our 7 nights

We stayed for 3 nights over our (British) summer half term week to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary

This was our first trip to the Black Forest, and we shall return to Hotel Traube Tonbach!

It was the most special touch! Or children loved all that was there for the kids and we had an amazing anniversary dinner while they were at the kids club that evening! We had such a lovely time and I can't wait to book again

The rooms are tastefully furnished but not tea or coffee making facilities which would have been nice after a day out. The swimming pool is nice and there are bathrobes and towels provided in your room

My wife book a facial treatment 'Classic facial treatment 60 min' I brought her down to the Spa, left her by the pool and arranged with the male attendant on the desk that at 11:00 he would escort my wife to the treatment room

Stayed one night during the snowstorms of 2023 that shut down large parts of southern Germany and the service and hospitality we received at this hotel were unapparelled

There was definitely a shortage of staff in general, they were all lovely and good at their job but some facilities, such as the pool side bistro were not manned so we couldn't easily order refreshments without going to find someone who then had to call the bar and get them to bring drinks

I was waiting for her at 12:00 and a few minutes after she came out. All looked well she said it had been good and the male attendant had been very good getting her from the pool to the treatment room

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-day stay. Staff, meals, room and hotel sitting areas were impeccable. The spa facilities and nearby hikes were wonderful. We are likely to go again.

The pool bag in the room with sauna/bath towels was really helpful & made it really enjoyable to go to the pool. We didn't try the basement one

The room, bed, sofa, balcony & bathroom were all perfect. The rooftop was also great, with both stunning pool & sauna being excellent in addition to the many loungers/beds/relaxation spots

We also made a demand for an upgrade in the room, but in the end we received anther type (not a big desaster) because our demand was lost somewhere. Moreover, not all staff members are equaly polite

The whole place was a joy, with very helpful & friendly staff. We had a stunning room, for which the listing photos don't convey the high quality at all

Snacks & drinks (order by phone from reception) were good service, but not always kept stocked (& mojito was too strong with not enough mint or ice)

The staff is always there to insure a wonderful time. The spa facilities are so perfect, you might never leave the building. The new outside pool lets you swim and talk to the cows in the meadows at the same time

Very nice hotel, large wellness area that leaves nothing to be desired, the staff is very friendly especially in the dining room, the food on offer was fantastic, we will come again!

Excellent food, lots of bathing options, lovely sauna area, very friendly staff in the restaurant. Criticism: not enough hooks in the bathroom, as the towels always have to be dried

Family-run Hotel in a beautiful location, You always feel welcome. Friendly staff, always helpful. The generous Spa-area with indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool. Great selection at Breakfast and dinner

Even though it may not bother many people and we did not experience any noise disturbance. I would at least like to have the opportunity to decide for myself whether to check into a hotel with a building site

We stayed 1 night at the Wellness & Genuss Resort - Engel Obertal and these were our impressions: Great was: - the reception with suitcase pick up, champagne and the accompaniment to the room

All the dishes were delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. The service was also super nice. - Breakfast was great 👌 the corner where you could squeeze your own juice with fresh fruit

The food was very delicious, the atmosphere was very calm and beautifully decorated. Their dessert was amazing and on top of everything, they had the friendliest and sweetest staff.

We went there with a big group of bikers. The have been incredibly well received. All the staff is very welcoming, nice and smiling. The swimming pool great and correctly heated. A big thank you to the staff!

Attended a wedding/reception here, and everyone on staff was quite pleasant and the hotel was nice.

The owners and staff were lovely and welcoming, and the restaurant had vegan options for dinner which were very nice, and the staff even organised some special vegan items for breakfast for us! Absolutely lovely place - highly recommended!

We would highly recommend this lovely, family run hotel in the most beautiful setting in the Black Forest. Perfect to access spectacular landscapes and hiking trails in the nearby National Park areas

Truly a great vacation! The Hotel in the black forest is very nice located and offers a varied Wellness program. For us it was pure relaxation! Also, the Team of the hotel has been very friendly and accommodating

We are travelling with a 10 month old baby and had all the amenities we could wish for (baby cot, high chair at meals, lots of toys in the lounge). The three course dinner was tasty and breakfast was varied

The sauna and wellness facilities are luxurious, with a beautiful Mediterranean flair, the room (double, comfort) very spacey and clean, the bathroom newly renovated and fresh

The restaurant is very good. A positive waiter, delicious food and overall a nice experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.
