Reviews
Very friendly staff. This area they work on minimal staff but they do not compromise or affect standards. Buffet breakfast was good too. Only minor feedback, as it was summer it was rather warm at the breakfast area and I would probably like to have the cold cut selection placed in a cold base instead of just leaving at the counter.
So in terms of price compared to many other hotels is a bit too high, I think.
But a nice town with nice restaurants, a nice beach and promenade.
For a hotel in this price range, it's rather mediocre. Small ground-floor room facing the courtyard driveway without air conditioning. Very hot and no way to cool down. The wellness area is quite nice. The breakfast also tends to be more budget-friendly. Cold cuts and the like are definitely not from the deli counter. Scrambled eggs are just like the competitors' ready-made eggs. It's a shame how they cut corners. Rolls had to be toasted to make them go from rubbery/chewy to slightly crispy.
The staff was very friendly, but as I said, this hotel in no way matches the €200 per day price range.
Very boring hotel. Nothing really to do in the area. Hotel is dated. No aircon. Breakfast is nothing to speak about - definitely not 4 star.
The freustil restaurant at the hotel is great and worth a visit!
The location, the balcony, the generous breakfast, and the friendliness of the breakfast staff are positive. Negatives include the mediocre friendliness of the reception staff, who provided insufficient information about the wellness area, sauna towels that you have to get at the reception (why?), and too little information about the structure of the associated hotels. P.S. The elevator is very old and not very trustworthy.
The bathroom was tiny, only for one person.
The maids were making noise in the hallway starting at 6:00 a.m.
Parking was quite expensive at €20 per night.
Good, plentiful breakfast.
Nice wellness area.
Nice and Cosy hotel. Sweet staff, but difficult to find the room because of the floor plan. Spa Are nice but a little tired. Slippers and more towels would be nice. Great Balkan hamam and massage. Big nice breakfast. Expensive parking.
Mattresses were worn out and should definitely have been replaced some time ago. Both had a noticeable spot in the middle outer part, where you would tipically sit. Particularly one of them, even to the point that you would literally roll to that side when lying. I asked them to replace the matresses, but they told us that they could not do that, as they had no spare ones.
The Music System in our sauna would not connect via bluetooth. My cell would show as many as three different bluetooth connections, none of which where our sauna but those saunas in the adjacent rooms. Also you could not tell which bluetooth connection (name / ID) should actually be showing up for our room. There was no sign / no indication anywhere to identify the proper bluetooth connection. They told us, they had a list. would look it up and notify us. They unfortunately never did.
Also the supposedly dimmable LED in the sauna would neither turn on nor off propperly and would flicker throughout the night. A technician came to fix it. He changed the batteries in the remote control, but never managed to fix the LED.
Our room was also extremely hot with no way to regulate the temperature, so we had to sleep with one window open. Mind you, it is February 2024 with 7 degrees Celsius outside. When we went to the reception in the evening to tell them, there was one lady who told us that she was merely helping out and that she did not know the hotel nor the rooms and that she could not tell us if and how the temperature issue could be solved. She also said that there was no one else in the hotel except for her an that we would have to wait for the next day.
It was only the next morning, when we found out that you could not regulate the temperature for our Junior Suite individually. Apparently, the person giving us that info at the reception was more familiar with the hotel than her colleague the night before.
At checkout when asked if we enjoyed our stay I told them “not really” and calmly explained everything I have written here. The only reaction we received was “Oh, so we there is room for improvement!” No apology, not anything else.
I am sorry but that is just not good enough. Henceforth the Travel Charme it will be for us again.
Would love to visit again :)
