Large room, good breakfast, delicious food in the restaurant

Have stayed here previously over past years only because convenient location to visit family but the property is tired and run down and not has been updated. Stayed in highest class of room with zero amenities. Damaged furniture, stained carpets, stains on lounge chair and poor lighting. No iron or ironing board in the whole hotel. Poor service at reception and when speaking to management about these issues was left with no real resolution other than to be told "it's an old hotel".
Will not stay again after this last experience.

Regarding the associated restaurant:
We arrived Friday evening and were hungry. The menu stated the restaurant was open until 8:30 p.m. Unfortunately, we were turned away. Today, Saturday. We arrived at the hotel at 7:15 p.m. and wanted to have dinner, but the chef sent us away again, saying that he had a full house and we could have Bolognese, which he still had left over.
Service like that is unacceptable. If you don't feel like working, just don't.
Then we went to the "Einheit" allotment garden group.
There we were welcomed with open arms and very warmly.
We can recommend it.

Service wasn't that great.
We were told the restaurant would be fully booked for dinner at 5:00 PM, even though I saw almost no one there. The staff member's advice: There's a supermarket 100 meters away, and we could go to the bakery there.
Then the light in the room didn't work, and the TV didn't work properly either. Hence only three stars.

The exterior is unsightly and not very inviting as a hotel. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are okay, but clearly showing their age. It's best not to look too closely. Breakfast is okay.

It was OK for the night, but I definitely wouldn't book it again. A very old but decent hotel. One power socket in the room right next to the door. But the room was very spacious.

East block prefab concrete plate slab high rise. No floor light, no cutlery, no kettle, no iron board, no toiletries, no second key, no AC, no fan…. But Two single beds pushed together with stiff old mattresses, cigarette smelly room, carpet from the 90’s, noisy yard, old tv, a humming empty fridge, 1 big roll, flickering bath light and a shaky building. Somewhat clean and with functioning hotspot internet. Well it’s a roof over your head with very little sleep as it’s road noise and the court yard restaurant that are a pain. Not sure what to think as it’s a different kind of experience.
