Just got back from a 3-night stay at this beautiful hotel. The first thing to say is that the customer service could not have been better. Every staff member was friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The spa facilities are gorgeous and wonderfully kept. I had two treatments, very relaxing. The food and wine was delicious. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Sat on the riverside terrace, very lovely to be fair. Took a while to get served, staff on duty went from 1 to 3 suddenly so someone came to our table. A few nice things on the menu but zero vegan options including the potato soup. We were hungry and could not eat, had a drink and left. Surely the folks running this smart running place could offer something 🤔?

Absolutely perfect one night stay. Suites are stunning with a view straight over the Mosel and across the bridge to the town. Gym facilities and pool all top quality, only slight disappointment was sauna not being open before 11am. Service was incredibly friendly and all the amenities you could ever need.

This wasn't my first stay here but as always it was very nice. I would advise to book massages ahead of check-in as they are very popular and often fully booked upon arrival. The massages offered are great, the staff are very friendly and competent. The Covid regulations were implemented well and as all guests were required to show they were vaccinated, tested or recovered during check-in it helped...

The stay was very good. The buffet had a large selection of different dishes. Spa was awesome even though some facilities were closed because of corona. Our room had a theme which was diamonds. Would be great to get the opportunity to choose the theme, but was ok. Room itself was big and amazing.

Nice clean rooms, nice breakfast, but hostess is no longer friendly if we didn't buy wine from them. In the evening it is not allowed to sit in the guest room and it is not possible to get coffee, tea or soft drinks.

Thank you for the week! We have fond memories of the Löwen family. Both the senior citizens and the boss made every effort and looked after the guests. The rooms were cleaned properly every day, the breakfast was good and sufficient. In the evenings in the wine tavern, we had interesting conversations with the family. Was very good. Great location and very nice staff. There is also kids club and the entertainers were amazing. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking and sightseeing. Mosel is also close by. The bar was great and so the restaurant. They serve some great local wines. Breakfast was exquisite. There is also swimming pool, open from early to very late. Mini golf and a wonderful playground for kids.

Awesome place, great breakfast. Beautiful area. The playground is fantastic and has a zip line. There is a rail connected right to the property. This is a can't miss for nature lovers and a great home base for exploring the Rhineland palatine area

Actualy spot on!!! Perfect for a group trip allowing off street parking for 2 outside the appartments, additional large carpark on site if you have more cars in your group. Very close to the track, on site spa too!

I’d give this a miss if the weather app shows any days above 28 degrees peak anytime through your stay, too hot with no aircon. Otherwise it’s pretty good and spacious. I think a hotel is still better if you are 1 or 2 people. I’d also request a villa without steep driveway if you got a low car as my car have light scrape when reversing up it.

The best staff I have ever had help us! We showed up late and they still served us dinner and made us warm drink too warm up after 12 hours on bicycle! Room was great and we slept amazingly also! We are 6 days in the Hotel Sonnenhof and have enjoyed the hospitality and the beautiful, spacious room. Especially because my husband was in a wheelchair was very pleasant. The food was very good and the breakfast was good. The staff was personal, interested and helpful. All in all, a success!

As ever, this hotel is a wonderful place to stay, right beside the Rhein, and it feels like walking into another world. It’s a great place to get away to, with one or two really good restaurants (including its own) close by. Breakfast is very much recommended here as well.

Lovely hotel on the Rhine though my room did not have a view. The rooms are very large. The hotel bar is cozy and well managed. Hotel staff is great. Good location for exploring the middle Rhine. Maybe 5 minute walk to train station. Boppard hotels will give you a guest ticket for local trains/buses.

The stay was very successful. The hotel is in the centre of Morbach and has parking right outside the door. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was also very excellent! Three of us stayed here for one night (2 adults and 1 dog). The room was very clean and even had a kitchenette, allowing for a longer stay and self catering. The price is in the upper mid range, which is totally justified. The breakfast was plentiful and had a little bit of everything. You are kindly asked if you want coffee or scrambled eggs. The owner will spoil you.

The loviest, coziest, and the most charming hotel I ever stayed at. In this age of corporate hospitality, CONTEL stands out as a home away from home. With a beer garden, cute underground parking, and lots of beautiful art, it makes you feel like you are at your own home. Rooms are so beautifully decorated. A good hotel, quiet, the Mosel River is nearby, you can walk along the path along the bank in the evening. A good restaurant, excellent German beer. The rooms are modest but cozy. The service is not intrusive. Everything is strictly German.

Great place to stay for a day, surrounded by nature. The city is a bit far away, but you know. We had no hot water all morning, so we were there overnight and couldn't shower. Unfortunately, we told reception, but they can't arrange this. A bit strange. The interior is a bit dated and could really use an update.

The hotel is on the top of the mountain and is relatively old. Breakfast is average and there are no commercial facilities around. Suitable for overnight stays.

Everything was good quality standards. I think if the hotel would add tea or coffee facilities either in each room or common area where guests could enjoy a cuppa during the day it would make this hotel an even more perfect place to stay. Lovely staff, spotless clean and great breakfast.

We were two for an Overnight stay there, and were, by and large, very satisfied! The reception staff was very friendly and helpful! Our room was ok. It was a chilled mini-bar. In the shower you put the half bathroom under water. A shower curtain or similar would have been desirable. Breakfast buffet was great!
