A bit dated, and no AC, but clean, comfortable, charming, and they serve a nice breakfast. The location is perfect! Wine tastings are free for hotel guests, and the terraces are reserved for guests, so there's always room to sit and enjoy the scenery.

We had an amazing 4 days here. I love the fact that only hotel guests can use the terrace - there was always seats for view over the river 😍 We forgot our passports and Bernd was amazing and sent them directly to us and was good in assuring us that they were on the way. I can’t believe the poor reviews posted on here! It’s a 14th century hotel in rural Germany. It doesn’t have some modern ammenities like an elevator or lift for stair free access to every room. The building is old and that’s part of the experience of staying here. Also keep in mind you’re traveling to rural Germany? Take it as an opportunity to learn some German or at least try. Great hotel with very friendly staff. The owner couple met us every morning with a friendly smile. The rooms are big and very clean, individually furnished😉 The restaurant serves genuine german food, the best food we tried in Cochem.

The hotel is clean and nice with an attached restaurant, but there were quiet a few things which i didnt like. For some reason the blanket was small, which for a 6 footer was quiet problematic. The food had Dry vegetables in salads, breakfast choice was very limited, bad wifi connection, WiFi stopped connecting at 10 while the checkout was at 11. Overall not value for money.

The owner and staff are very friendly and polite. We ate at the restaurant which which was decorated with beautiful paintings and offer us view of the Mosel River. Good food, good view and good service. Love this place.

The food is average, not bad but not the place to have a great lunch. A few different Schnitzels with pommes frites, Bratwurst or salads are examples of offered lunch choices. Nice with outdoor seating. Only vited the restaurant, not applicable for the hotel.

We went to chochem with our motorcycle to check out cochem. We parked our motorcycle at the parking place in cochem but then we realized we had all our helmets gear etc to carry trough the city. Hotels are expensive so the hotel is a good option on a budget (paid Euro 89 incl breakfast) Rooms are standard and the buffet breakfast basic but for the very central location and price was more than sufficient for a 1 night stay. No parking but there is a cheap public car park 5 minuztes walk from the hotel.

Very nice and clean rooms. Kind and friendly coworkers who helped us find our way in the city, even lending us a map to find an obscure but free car parking. A bit tricky to find the entrance of the hotel.

Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Views from our balcony were spectacular. The food at the restaurant was good but not great. Not much of a selection.

We stayed here recently and found it to be clean and comfortable. It was wonderful to sit on our balcony sipping a beer or glass of wine looking out at the castle in the evening after a busy day if touring. Stayed 2 nights on a motorcycle road trip from the UK . This hotel is lovely ! Immaculately clean , well thought out , very quiet area , beautiful gardens , lovely breakfast ( fine for me as a vegan as well ) and in the most lovely setting , over looks the beautiful castle on the hill and vineyards at the back . Perfect parking for our motorbike as well . Book it , you won’t be sorry !

Incredible stay at this quaint property. The kind owner came out as we arrived and helped with luggage and parking. We were fortunate to have a room with a view of the Mosel River and the castle. Although the property is on the quieter side of the river from the city centre, it’s just an easy few minutes walk. Breakfast was incredible. We would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We spent a night in Cochem, after a day of driving along the Rhine, and breaking journey before exploring the Moselle valley. We totally enjoyed our stay at Hotel Zehnthof. We stayed for 5 nights. Sandor, part of the family who owns Hotel Zehnthof (and his wife) were amazing hosts. We had a lovely stay at the Zehnthof. The host was so friendly and thoughtful. He ask which room we prefered, the top floor with a beautiful view or a second floor room. The catch was no lift but he offered to haul luggage to the top floor. We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was all you could desire.

FANTASTIC hotel on the right bank of the Mosel! Views of the Castle, river, and Cochem. Situated across the water from the centre, but within easy walking distance over the bridge. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a bit dated and the bathroom was tiny and very dated Looking. Though everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from. I would stay here again.

This place is kinda dumpy. The single room was really small and there was no place to put anything. Really no place to put a suitcase except on the floor and there’s barely room to do that. The place really needs to be updated.

The building is old and as you walk through it you can feel that the floors are not even and they creak. However, that also gives it is certain charme.
