Hotel Karl Noss

The building is old and as you walk through it you can feel that the floors are not even and they creak. However, that also gives it is certain charme.

Breakfast was great and the staff was super nice and accomodating as my wife and I are vegans.

Location is perfect, right by the Mosel and where the tour ships dock. We were able to walk anywhere and didn't have to move our car once during our stay.

Shower had great water pressure and the bed was comfortable for me, a bit soft for my wife, but that is going to be different for every person.

Overall a very pleasant experience!

Once again a wonderful holiday at the hotel noss . I have been coming here for many years and the standard of food and staff never changes . The view of the river Mosel while having breakfast is something special,as is the breakfast. Thank you Karl and all your staff for making it special

Amazing view of Cochem from the room. Private balcony to stay up at night and sip the Cochem wine. Location alone makes it one of the best choices. Breakfast options were also good. Staff was very helpful. They allow you to leave your luggage with them after checkout. So you can explore the beautiful town hassle free.

I stayed here for two nights at the end of November 2023. Location: About a one-minute walk from the city center. Also, the slope leading to the castle, the main tourist attraction in Cochem, is right behind it. Rooms: Very clean. The heating is also working and it is comfortable. There is a hair dryer, TV, refrigerator, and electric fan. Staff: Very kind. They listened to my broken English without any complaints. Also, it seems that they made the bed and changed the towels quickly and politely while I was out. Breakfast: 7:30-10:00, you pick up and eat by yourself. I couldn't find my knife and fork, but an employee gave it to me halfway through. It seems that the system is that you eat after being called out to first. Other: Shampoo and body soap are provided in the shower room, and hand soap and lotion are provided in the washbasin.

Such lovely staff, great town centre location. ********** cancelled a booking on me but luckily the hotel were able to accommodate me (at a better rate than booking engine). It wasn't the hotel's fault but they went out of their way and gave a beer on the house when they didn't have to. Room on top floor looking out over river. Had air conditioning which was a godsent! Bathroom nice, shower had plenty of hot water. Shower gel, shampoo and soap in bathroom. Location fantastic, just around the corner from shops, food, coffee places. Nice restaurants and places to have a drink downstairs and within few doors. Breakfast good, lots of choice. The friendliest lady working in the breakfast and helping on reception. The gentleman and lady who checked us in also great and gave great advice on things to do places to go, and how to go about getting places. I would definite stay again.

Plus: Beds were comfortable, room had a nice balcony, breakfast was good, service was very good too: everyone was very friendly and addressed our questions. Cons: the bathroom was tiny, and hot water took a while to come out in the shower

Room not the stipulated 12m2, more like 14m2, plus the small shower/toilet. This time we were lucky: Without asking we got a room facing Mosel, with a terasse. Silent, in spite of traffic. A little problem was 20 steps from reception to our room. Service friendly and competent. The location of the hotel is one of the best in Cochem. Be prepared to pay if you want to park just outside. PS. In Germany now more and more hotels has followed the trend from France/Spain, and put moneysaving plasic covers on the mattrasses. Sweaty for me. Perhaps a Corona-issue?
