Cosy place. Very friendly staff. Poor internet connection. Breakfast-ok. Very comfortable bed.

Nice small hotel. Breakfast without much choice. No refrigerator in the room. They don't clean your room unless you put a tag on the door.

Good attention and good breakfast too. A little bit old in my opinion but would go again if possible. Soft bed and pillows . Lucky to have a refrigerator. Did not the bathroom, kind of old and dark. Internet was fine. Stairs on corridor made difficult to go with a heavy luggage .

For a short business trip a decent place to stay. Quite narrow and the hotel could use some modernization. The room was extremely warm and the ac didn’t help much . Also very Morning at 5 a.m you can smell the food from the kitchen (not very pleasant) Breakfast itself was just fine and tasted well and fresh.

Came here for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised at its style, elegance and quality. Very friendly reception staff and a quick and easy check in. It is a pretty nice place, and the breakfast was amazing, but the internet was very bad, and it just suddenly stopped working.

Super cosy Hotel. All are very nice and always around the guest anxious. The rooms are clean and cozy. The Breakfast is rich and tasty, especially the homemade jams.

Very well-run family business in a quiet location in GE-Buer. Very courteous staff, sumptuous buffet Breakfast, only drawback, a bit too small bathroom, but the great stay we had, no crash! All in all a very nice Hotel at a nice price. We are looking forward to come Back!

A lovely quite location in a quiet residential area, near the motorway and only 10-15 minutes into Essen. All the staff were very friendly and helped us a lot with our questions about restaurants etc.

Idyllic hotel in a quiet area but with good local transportation connections to Düsseldorf airport and Essen. The hotel has a good restaurant, bar and a 9-pin bowling alley. The rooms and the breakfast are quite basic, but serve their purpose. Overall I think you get really good value for your money when staying in this hotel.

Nice hotel stay for a night. Big rooms, little dated. Could hear some traffic from Road but good location and easy walking distance to old town kettwig, the river and the station to take you into Essen. Breakfast had a good selection and hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

A very pleasant experience for an overnight stay in Kettwig. A great place to dine with generous portions . The breakfast was very good witt a real friendly and attentive service. The rooms were fine ( maybe the bed a bit low ) All in all a perfect place to stay.

Every wish was fulfilled, everyone tried very hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We ate as part of the "Restaurant Karussell" Spring 2023, all very tasty, which was rounded off with the accompanying wines. Good food, everyone very friendly, always happy to come back.

I will just say that ,it's ok.

Onely one problem was, nobody speak English. Except that, all good.

I was part of the Circus crew. We've been served Bert wel, from breakfast till bed time, very helpful and friendly. Germany's respected traditional "Deutsche Gemütlichkeit", (German Hospitality) in every kind, is found there. Nice hotel, family hotel actually, right in the center of Essen. Close to Colosseum Theater, shopping and so on. Only the parking ia missing, if would have one it will be perfect.

Clean, good location with markets and restaurants around, cozy very friendly staff

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. There is also a small kitchenette in the room, but we didn't use it. The center of Essen could be reached with half an hour walk or with the Uber/public transport, so we liked the location too. Good value for money!

If you are going to stay in Essen more than a week it is a place to consider, you'll get free wifi conection with no limitations and there is a kettle and a microwave in all the rooms. Also you will literally living above a Lidl supermarket. It is located about 40 minutes walking from the central train station but there is a trolley car stop really close that will get you...

Good for travellers who do not need to be in the direct center of town. Free parking was good and never full. VERY close to supermarket, McDonalds and tram stop. Extremely slow elevator, otherwise very good value for money and quiet hotel. Very nice bathroom and balcony.

A really nice hotel three tram stops away from the Essen Main Station. This is a, what I would call, self service hotel. There is no reception. Instead when checking in you make a call using a phone on the wall and the operator opens a small locker with keys to the room. There is no full time staff there only the cleaning service during the day. There is also no restaurant. For me it was no problem...

Excellent hotel with a very comfy bed, a perfect shower and enough space in the room ! We couldn't hear the neighbors! Great place ! The check-in is very easy as well !

Petul Apart Hotel City Garden has a very nice look. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The bathroom is clean as well. It is very close to the city (10 minute walk) And has a supermarket nearby. Its really great!

Nice modern and clean hotel. Was surprising because the surrounding doesn't look so good. There is no check in lobby, you just ring the bell and the staff give you the code to the locker with the keys to the room. The rooms are small, but comfy.
