The three bedroom was very small, the beds were ok, the bathroom was a bit outdated but functioned properly. The breakfast was good, lots of choice, the staff was very helpful. The pool was average, a bit cold. The junior suite was very good.

Friendly welcome, clean comfortable rooms with sparkling water. Well payed out family adjoining rooms. Nice gym/poil area. Only downside was quite a bit of hair in the pool water. Breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Breakfast is bad, room were comfy but you can feel they had good days long behind them. The personnel was really helpful. Good in the restaurant was not even. Nice staff, great facilities including the pool, sauna, and gym. Biggest downfall is that the rooms feel a little outdated. But with all the other positives, it's hard not to recommend. There's even a bus stop right outside to connect you to where you need to go. Would come again.

We were in it one night with my friend (not a partner) and ordered a room for two, in the picture it looked like two beds connected together, however, we got a room with one bed to 160 cm. On this, our night was very not comfortable. (The staff said that all the rooms are busy and that in general they have such small beds everywhere that of course madness...

Let me start saying that this is a 4 star superior hotel, which in my opinion is close to a 5 star than a 4. The Atlantic Congress can be reached by metro (Messe Ost / Gruga exit), or about 30 minutes by taxi from the Duesseldorf airport. It is also located in front of the Essen fair (the pavilions can therefore be reached by foot in a few minutes) The structure is beautiful and full of design elements...

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel with 3 kids. We were very happy, everyone was very friendly, the rooms were clean and great. The breakfast was amazing, something for everyone, the kids loved it. Of course we have a big car, the underground car park is a bit tight 🙈😁 but other than that everything was really great, we would love to come back :-)

Very comfortable rooms at an attractive rate! Its a new business hotel and has everything you need. I truly enjoyed the breakfast, the underground parking and the fitness room. The breakfast is a bit too expensive imho. But since you are right across a big mall (with a supermarket) which is open from 7am to 10pm, it can easily be mitigated. The staff was always helpful and friendly.

The Sheraton at Essen is very conveniently located next to the Philharmonie Essen and a short walk to the main train station. The hotel was packed during our stay. But the front desk was very efficient with check in and check outs. The restaurant was basic but had outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful Stadtgarten and the water body. Very good. As usually in Germany you can find here all you need. Simple easy and fast. No special things but all usefull and in time. Yes, breckfast is good and reach, not kind of continental french, but real one.

The rooms (at least the suites) are big and have all necessary amenities like a kettle, fridge, tresor, tv and balcony. The location is ideal if you are traveling by public transportation and have business on the Gruga Location/ Messe Essen. The only negative is, that there are some but not a lot of parking spaces that belong to the hotel.

Love the location and the people at the front desk. The rooms are really well laid out and spacious. The probelm we faced was that it was way too hot. The bedding was not breathable. The windows opened for nice breeze but because it was by the road and also this carnival, it was too noisy to sleep. So we were extremely unrested during out stay.

Very convenient if attending an expo at the messe, would recommend for this alone. Beds are comfortable and there was a decent amount of pillows. Only dropped on star because the breakfast isn't great. We had it on our first day but it was 12€ each and there was very little choice.

Had a room at the top Floor and the best thing about it was the view. The room itself was Ok but nothing fancy. Furniture and bed was quite old and used. Had the door open for some fresh air during the night but this made it very noisy. Breakfast was OK and all in all it was a good stay in this fairly convenient location.

We stayed here several times now, always during the Spiel Messe. The location is great, near the main train station and thus also the underground line to the Messe. And one of the advantages of Intercity hotels is that you get a card which allows you to use the local public transport for free during your stay. So I drove to Germany and stayed in Essen in early August 2023. As an IHG Platinum Member, most of the time I stay in IHG hotels only, but this hotel wasn't exactly what I was expecting. The service from staff is great and the barman and front desk staff were wonderful and very friendly. I had a very nice chat with both chaps and they gave me information of where to visit in Germany. Hotel is nice enough with a very spacious room which was clean. Only marking room down because of very dated bathroom which had a broken toilet seat and towels that felt like they had seen better days. Hotels saving grace is the breakfast and it’s staff. The breakfast spread was immense and the kitchen staff going the extra mile to put faces on the boiled eggs.

We had a couple good nights in the hotel. It has a good location. The hotel is clean and offer coffee and some sweets in the lobby (complimentary). The staff were friendly and helpful. If you don’t ask every day cleaning you can even choose a free soft drink in the bar or extra point on your Accor account that is very green positive.

Atfer a long driving journey from Poland,we checked in just after 22.00, very warm welcoming from the Reception lady, 2 adults 1 child and 1 dog, the room was big and very comfortable, the bed was very comfy, the sofa bed was good for 1 night stay. The staff at this hotel was very friendly, staff speaks fluent English and German and gave us a warm welcome. There's a bar with a terrace where you can order tasty cocktails at a fair price and the bartender was great. The location of the hotel is close to Grugahalle Essen where we went to a concert, and the club in the city centre we visited later. By taxi it only takes you a couple of minutes...

We had a one-night stay in the Residence Inn from 9th till 10th of July. The hotel is new, the rooms are spacious and one is in walking distance to the main railway station. The highligh for us was the staff taking ccare of us: Khaled, Cynthia, Malanie and Kofi really know what matters in hospitality.
