Where to stay in Essen

The three bedroom was very small, the beds were ok, the bathroom was a bit outdated but functioned properly. The breakfast was good, lots of choice, the staff was very helpful. The pool was average, a bit cold. The junior suite was very good.

Friendly welcome, clean comfortable rooms with sparkling water. Well payed out family adjoining rooms. Nice gym/poil area. Only downside was quite a bit of hair in the pool water. Breakfast was fantastic.

Nice staff, great facilities including the pool, sauna, and gym. Biggest downfall is that the rooms feel a little outdated. But with all the other positives, it's hard not to recommend. There's even a bus stop right outside to connect you to where you need to go. Would come again.

Best hotel in Essen! Very large room, super cool.. Bathroom was perfect. All the hotel was great. The breakfast: awesome! With everything. Best part of the hotel was Jimmy's Bar! Jimmy and his crew was super nice and helped us to find the perfect drink for us. Slept 3 night very well. Sure we will come back next year!

Very good. As usually in Germany you can find here all you need. Simple easy and fast. No special things but all usefull and in time. Yes, breckfast is good and reach, not kind of continental french, but real one.

Nice enough hotel very near the station at the centre of Essen. Wouldn't do it again though given the choice. Comparable hotels around have more to offer and are still competitively priced. Had a room at the top Floor and the best thing about it was the view. The room itself was Ok but nothing fancy. Furniture and bed was quite old and used. Had the door open for some fresh air during the night but this made it very noisy. Breakfast was OK and all in all it was a good stay in this fairly convenient location.

Hotel is what you can expect from a Moxy but the staff is extremely friendly I had ordered food one day and didn’t get a notification it was delivered. As I was walking to the lobby I met a man who works there called Artion, who was bringing my food to the room. It was completely unnecessary but very sweet!

Staying in this hotel was great and fun. We felt comfortable. The rooms are modern, and the hotel bar is never boring.

Stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel perfect for the purpose of my travel. Rooms big enough for single traveller. Bathroom amenities on par with other Marriott properties. Appreciated the ability to do mobile check in and all staff was prompt in responding to my queries. Overall, a perfect stay!

We were in it one night with my friend (not a partner) and ordered a room for two, in the picture it looked like two beds connected together, however, we got a room with one bed to 160 cm. Let me start saying that this is a 4 star superior hotel, which in my opinion is close to a 5 star than a 4. The Atlantic Congress can be reached by metro (Messe Ost / Gruga exit), or about 30 minutes by taxi from the Duesseldorf airport. It is also located in front of the Essen fair (the pavilions can therefore be reached by foot in a few minutes) The structure is beautiful and full of design elements...

The hotel is nice. I had a confortable night. The bed is good and the hotel was very clean. It has air conditioning and it was working! I didn't have breakfast so I cannot say anything about it. The best thing is that it is situated 5-minute walking distance. Moreover, the hotel was not full. There were free rooms. Literally next to the train station (our room has view on the train platforms). 10 min walk to the city center. The bathroom is very small (although somehow cosy). The walls are quite thin, hence you'd hear the footsteps and talking from the hall way. The breakfast is okay.

Rooms are very small..same like bathroom. And you can hear every sound from halls. Also if you are on the side of train station dont open window because monkey from station talk whenever some train coming. Location is only good thing

The hotel is easy to reach from the station that is close by. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Parking is free for all guests and you can access the hotel late at night easily. The entry code you get is very helpful and you don't have to carry a key card around with you. Overall a very nice hotel to stay at.

Free car parking was also a bonus: Checking in was easy and the gentleman on reception was cheery and welcoming - explaining about the hotel and the room access via PIN number. Stayed 2 nights at the hotel with 3 kids. We were very happy, everyone was very friendly, the rooms were clean and great. The breakfast was amazing, something for everyone, the kids loved it. Of course we have a big car, the underground car park is a bit tight 🙈😁 but other than that everything was really great, we would love to come back :-)

The Sheraton at Essen is very conveniently located next to the Philharmonie Essen and a short walk to the main train station. The hotel was packed during our stay. But the front desk was very efficient with check in and check outs. The restaurant was basic but had outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful Stadtgarten and the water body. Beautiful castle hotel goes back to the year 1630. The former castle goes back much further than the recent. Service is excellent, food and wine good as you would expect. The weather was kind so we could also enjoy a drink in the gardens well worth a visit to enjoy some relaxing days here.
