Clean rooms. Very close to the metro. Centrally located hotel. Good breakfast.

No any tea, coffee and mug inside the room; the reception lady is quite cold to refuse to check in at 12:00 inspite I discussed with her politely, just repeated to check at 15:00 ; the worst thing is I cant park my car inside the hotel garage or parking lots, but in the public one, then I need walk 10 minutes to take my heavy luggages... This hotel was previously none as Move&pick Hotel however they changed the name and the quality of their service too which was a little disappointing. But over all the amenities are good. It’s close to Essen shopping centre, main train station and all food and restaurants are walking distance. The room was very small. But nice and warm.

The hotel location is excellent, right next to the train station. However I had to change 3 rooms as the heating wasn't working properly and there were no staff to attend so I had to keep going up and down to reception to take photos and show them. Had a room at the top Floor and the best thing about it was the view. The room itself was Ok but nothing fancy. Furniture and bed was quite old and used. Had the door open for some fresh air during the night but this made it very noisy. Breakfast was OK and all in all it was a good stay in this fairly convenient location.

The hotel's environment and location are both good, though the rooms are a bit small. The breakfast is also quite good, making it worth a subsequent stay. If you need help, you can contact the front desk staff, who speak English and provide decent service.

Clean and modern hotel in the "niu"-Style. Decent-size room with very comfortable bed. Not much facilities (no fridge in room, no water provided...), and no gym facilities - but that is fine with the very reasonable price point. Some limited dining options at the reception bar in the evening (pizza or Flammkuchen). Overall all was fine and would book again.

Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was completely overbooked, so everything was always empty and the selection was limited. The rooms were excellent.

This hotel is situated on a favorable location for people who want to have access to public transport (central train and buss station Gelsenkirchen), stopping mails and the Gelsenkirchen city centre. It has simple but sufficient facilities and rooms. And the price to be payed for the room is okay. Because it is situated in the city centre there is always some noise of course.

Last minute reservation as we had issues with our bathroom at home. I needed a place to use the toilet, shower and sleep. The front desk and Bar staff are friendly and quick. The rooms are very small and bare. I'm 5'3" and had difficulty with space in the shower. The linens are also very minimal and not comfortable. Tiny pillows, thin blanket. You know the tiny bottles of complimentary shampoo, conditioner...

there are nice staff here including the restaurant staff. i could enjoyed the breackfas (large selection) and also enjoyed beer & wine at the bar.

Too pricey and hygiene can be improved. Staff friendliness can be better. Too much light shining from outside projectors into room windows. Curtains are too small to cover windows. Parking is free and location 5min from city center.

This hotel was a unique experience as it caters to special olympians' needs. It was however a good experience for a business visitor such as myself. The staff is professional and friendly, the area is quiet and peaceful, the rooms are clean. Recommended.

Stayed there in April 2014, great hotel, very friendly staff, great value for money. Would like other hotels in that category being as fresh, clean and equipped with high quality items. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Well done.

Room was oke. Clean. I had a 1 person room you don't see those a lot anymore. But the bed was 120-140 wide so okay. The breakfast was realy nice with salmon fresh baked eggs and to much to choose from. The staff was very nice.

The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast service was good. This was my first stay and I would book this hotel for my next visit.

Over all good Over all good, the reception is friendly, the place is clean and offers what you expect. The bed might be a bit to hard for me, but that is a personal thing. The wifi needs an Update, 2024 and just scraping by on two bars is not acceptable. Breakfeast was good, but at 20€ pr day it is in the heavy end. Did not eat dinner at the hotel.

The whirlpool tub in the Deluxe Suite is perfect for relaxing. The fully equipped kitchen and large TV in the living room area are also perfect for longer stays. Even though we were the only guests in the hotel, we were treated to a small breakfast buffet just for ourselves :) Check-in and check-out were very relaxed and easy using a combination lock. You'll need a bit of luck with the parking spaces...

We booked the hotel because of its proximity to the trade fair. The trade fair is just a few minutes' walk away. Since we arrived very late, we were given a code for the hotel and room, which worked without any problems. Very good, only parking problem

I decided to stay here for a better individual experience rather than the large generic hotel nearby. It proved to be the right decision, I had a bigger room with better facilties and a more personal service. It's ideally located a 5-8 minute walk to either of the U11 Underground stations and the Essen conference centre entrances. Make sure you have a charged phone with you because you may have to...

We had an excellent experience with friends at the Stay Hotel. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and went to watch the Euro 2024 matches. We did not expect the hotel to be so clean and the staff so welcoming. The location was excellent very close to the center and near the train station. The price was very reasonable and everything went perfectly. I must add that they gave us German national T-shirts...

Unusually large room. Nice and clean. Only let down is the lack of air conditioning. Would not recommend going there to stay when the evenings are warm. Yes, they provide free standing fans, but they are too noisy for my liking. Great staff.

There is no check in lobby, you just ring the bell and the staff give you the code to the locker with the keys to the room. The rooms are small, but comfy.
