Luitpoldpark-Hotel

We got assigned a suite on the 5th floor that was really spacious. There was even a sauna room, which we didn’t take advantage of. The elevator from the 4th floor to the 5th was old and needed attention. Breakfast was decent. The staff was nice and luggage storage was free of charge. The location is wonderful! Right by the Bahnhof! The room came with a Füssen city pass for each guess, meaning you can take the local transportation for free for two days. We used the passes for visiting the Neuschwanstein castle (Bus #78), as well as leaving Füssen (as far as Kaufbeuren is free).

The hotel is located right next to the main train station, just 100 m distance away. There is also a large convenience store just below the hotel, which open till 8:00pm.
The old town and St Mang museum is within walking distance. The hotel (as with all other hotels in Fussen) provide a transportation card which cover free bus transfer from the bus terminal (outside the train station) to the Castles' ticket center, which is just 10-15 minutes from Fussen. The bus schedule is available from the reception upon request. Taxi is also quite cheap and a good option if between 2 - 3 persons. Taxi stand is near train station as well.
The room are of average size though the toilet is quite small. Breakfast is also average but adequate. May be quite crowded.
Take note that you need to hang the "Clean Room" sign on the door daily, if not the room may not get tidy up.
Will be a good option for travelers staying just for 1 or 2 nights with plan to visit the castle due to the close proximity to the train station and bus terminal.

I would recommend this hotel. The hotel is a so big if you don’t walking too much you shouldn’t request faraway from elevator 😅 The staff so kind and nice to give you advice. This hotel have a good area not faraway from train and bus station. You can get the free tickets to use public transport in the city and leave your luggage to explore the city before check-in time.

This day was amazing. The service was top notch. The room was super comfortable.

I'm not sure if I would call this a 4 star hotel - maybe a 3 star? The bathroom looked pretty old, and they literally gave me just 1 set of towels... weird thing to skimp out on, is this a hostel? I did like the layout of the room, but the bed was hard and the sheets were scratchy. The room also did get quite hot, so I had to have my window open, but since it was a large window with access to the balcony, I was a bit concerned about safety as a single female traveler. They have a luggage storage area, but anybody can walk in and grab things, which I thought was a bit unsafe.

Also, while the first receptionist was really nice, the 2nd receptionist was quite rude. Additionally, they didn't tell me about the sauna area at all at check in, I just figured it out by myself afterwards.

However, the location, and the cost of this place was pretty good. The gym next to the sauna is accessible, and it was really well equipped! The included breakfast was delicious and had a huge variety.
