Luitpoldpark Hotel in Fussen

My friends and I stayed here for 1 night. The rooms were HUGE! Toilets were HUGE! Cleanliness was up to standard. To our delight, 2 sets of toiletries were provided for each room, specifically shower caps, cotton buds, body lotion and tissues. The shower was fitted with a body cum hair shampoo. The toilet was brightly lit and there was a hairdryer and vanity mirror. I must add though, that climbing in and out of the bathtub can be hazardous. Not sure if it's safe for old folks. The rooms were rather dim. Oddly enough, there were no sockets at both side tables next to the beds, which means we could not charge our hand phones at our bedsides. Although, my friends in the next room reprted No such problems in their room. No kettle was provided; the front desk staff informed us that we could get hot water from the restaurant. Buffet breakfast spread was acceptable and breads were nice. I must add that the front desk staff was really very helpful. We accidentally double booked the rooms and she reassured us that we can cancel the extra bookings with no penalty. Overall, we were happy with the hotel.

The room and breakfast were great, but check in was not. The check in person may have been stressed but.... We dinged the bell, could hear voices, and still had to wait till they finished their conversation. We requested 2 beds, got to the room and it had 1 bed. Went back to the desk, she went up to check on another room for us, and by the time she returned there was a tour group with room issues. Instead of handing us a new key so we could go, we had to wait till she finished with the tour group

Beautiful and wonderful location. Wish I could live there 🙂 staff was very helpful and kind. Bath tub was huge. Breakfast was amazing, and dinning room was very aesthetically pleasing. View was perfect. Parking very tight.

Great location. Close to both Lech Falls and the castles. Also close to the grocery store. The staff was excellent. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also clean and had a large bathtub. Large bathtub comfortable for 2 people to get ready at the same time. We have a rental car and we're able to park in the underground parking garage.

For starters, as someone who can barely speak German at all, the service here was amazingly understanding, from reception to the restaurant to the cleaning service.
The parking garage wasn't as nightmarish as some reviews claimed, but it smaller. For reference, I had never utilized a parking garage that had small spots at all before, and managed fine.
Location is great, the breakfast at the hotel restaurant is great, too.
The room I had (family room on the top floor) is definitely older, but I found the bed to be good, bathroom fine. Many plugs for electronics, some older buy fine furniture. The whole room was clean. It was definitely warm - but the staff was more than happy to bring a fan up upon request, and that solved the problem.
And the gym is amazing. I've never seen a hotel gym that well equipped. 10/10.

We got assigned a suite on the 5th floor that was really spacious. There was even a sauna room, which we didn’t take advantage of. The elevator from the 4th floor to the 5th was old and needed attention. Breakfast was decent. The staff was nice and luggage storage was free of charge. The location is wonderful! Right by the Bahnhof! The room came with a Füssen city pass for each guess, meaning you can take the local transportation for free for two days. We used the passes for visiting the Neuschwanstein castle (Bus #78), as well as leaving Füssen (as far as Kaufbeuren is free).

Great hotel. Great location. Great friendly staff. Spacious rooms.

The hotel is located right next to the main train station, just 100 m distance away. There is also a large convenience store just below the hotel, which open till 8:00pm.
The old town and St Mang museum is within walking distance. The hotel (as with all other hotels in Fussen) provide a transportation card which cover free bus transfer from the bus terminal (outside the train station) to the Castles' ticket center, which is just 10-15 minutes from Fussen. The bus schedule is available from the reception upon request. Taxi is also quite cheap and a good option if between 2 - 3 persons. Taxi stand is near train station as well.
The room are of average size though the toilet is quite small. Breakfast is also average but adequate. May be quite crowded.
Take note that you need to hang the "Clean Room" sign on the door daily, if not the room may not get tidy up.
Will be a good option for travelers staying just for 1 or 2 nights with plan to visit the castle due to the close proximity to the train station and bus terminal.
