City-Hotel Kurfurst Balduin

This hotel is prime location and the service was good. It's just the blinds didn't shut all the way on the main road and the curtains don't cover the window. The windows let in tons of noise. And the beds were lumpy and soft. Nothing to take from the associates or good location and price; just not comfortable at all in my opinion.

The most important thing for me in a hotel is noise insulation as you cannot rest well if there is noise, and, unfortunately, this hotel does not excel in that. The doors are very thin and creaky, you can hear every other door being opened.

The room was OK, but the bathroom was quite dated. I also really dislike the choice to put the soap and shower gel in these plastic bottles that you have to squeeze hard to get something. There are many other economical but more usable ways to do this.

The "double room' was, as very usual now in many hotels, just two beds pushed together. They come apart easily, so not great. Not good choice for cover and pillow either.

The things that were good - the reception staff is very nice. The hotel is conveniently located just beside the old town. And the hotel has its parking garage underground which makes it convenient for those with a car.

Overall, if you don't mind noise and not planning to stay for long, it's a fine place.

Hotel rooms is good and clean. Location is super good .Breakfast also nice .Only bad thing is you can hear every door open and close. It's quite noisy when you are sleeping.
