Where to stay in Koblenz

The location was great, but the hotel is quite outdated and in need of renovation.

Great place to stay for a day, surrounded by nature. The city is a bit far away, but you know. We had no hot water all morning, so we were there overnight and couldn't shower. Unfortunately, we told reception, but they can't arrange this. A bit strange. The interior is a bit dated and could really use an update.

We liked everything, the location is super) 🙂 the only thing is that the sound is very loud, especially if the toilet is flushed in another room

The hotel is on the top of the mountain and is relatively old. Breakfast is average and there are no commercial facilities around. Suitable for overnight stays.

The loviest, coziest, and the most charming hotel I ever stayed at. In this age of corporate hospitality, CONTEL stands out as a home away from home. With a beer garden, cute underground parking, and lots of beautiful art, it makes you feel like you are at your own home. Rooms are so beautifully decorated. It also have a lovely restaurant offering yummy food.

Lovely hotel. Great beer garden, food is good, breakfast is nice, parking is ok. Only not picking issues would be the mattress is too firm but that is subjective. I always stay here when coming to Koblenz.

An amazing place close to city and near Mozel river! It have a nice facilities around - hair dresser, restaurant. Huge likes - free hotel parking (very nice one with wide parking places). Bathtub in room - wow! It’s extremely rare to find in hotels. Big water bottle in every room complimentary. Hotel stuff are helpful and very welcome.

A good hotel, quiet, the Mosel River is nearby, you can walk along the path along the bank in the evening. A good restaurant, excellent German beer. The rooms are modest but cozy. The service is not intrusive. Everything is strictly German.

The hotel is modern style with clean and comfortable room. It is located near train and bus station. Breakfast was ok.

Super close to Koblenz Hbf. Also the Lohr centre, a large shopping mall with an outdoor shopping district, is about 15 min walk away. We got a top floor room facing the train station and really loved the view. Floor to ceiling windows can be opened, letting in fresh air when needed. Everything worked and was clean. It's surprising that you have to request room cleaning, and even then, the service was subpar. However, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. The attitude of the waiter was very good. We could put down our large luggage for free the day before we checked in, so we didn't need to store it at the train station.

Good hotel that is currently undergoing some refurbishing. The breakfast offers a good selection of nice food for a smooth start into a new day. Parking is available free of charge in front of the house. Very quiet place.

It was a last minute booking but every moment I had here was excellent. The location is perfect, you have vineyards at the back and riverbank in front for a relaxing walk. Very clean and very very friendly, highly recommended!

Another repeat visit. Excellent food as usual and staff very friendly and helpful, though some newer staff were very nervous and need to relax and senior management seemed less focused on guests than previously. Some staff struggling with communication too. Disappointed we were refused a jug of tap water (for which we would happily have paid) as it is far better for the environment that bottled...

Lovely Hotel in the wine gardens of Koblenz - calm & clean

Nice clean room, beds not that comfortable but location makes up for it. Stayed for beer fest so not much time in the room. Breakfast was well worth adding on as well

Small rooms. Children below 12 years have to share parents bed. Nice breakfast. No parking facility was available and nearby parking garage would cost 15 to 20€ pet day.

Wife and I have been staying here for years during annual our vacations and we are treated like family[.

Cheap, small rooms, 5th floor hallway reeked or ciggarettes. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good breakfast. The rooms seemed pretty clean.

Great service. Ellen was especially helpful! Rooms are surprising comfy, just no A/C but we managed!

Secure bicycle parking at side of hotel. Wonderful balcony overlooking the Rhine. This was the 15th hotel of our cycle tour through Benelux and the Mosel and it had the best breakfast of the lot (and they were all pretty good)!

Bonus star for location - walkable and right along the river - but that was the only good thing in our opinion. We luckily were able to get a parking spot at the hotel, it's a tight lot shared with many businesses, and no ability to reserve a parking spot for your stay. The room we stayed in was TINY, much smaller than we expected. I'm not sure if they're all similarly sized, but would not recommend...

The breakfast menu is OK but the lady working there is about the most unfriendly person you can encounter that early in the morning.

Hotel Brenner is an independent hotel. It is small and intimate. No higher than five floors and a small lift. The lift is just about larger than a typical shower stall. German-style Continental Breakfast is provided: breads, rolls, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt and quark. I would describe the dining room as a salon. It was naturally well lit with sunshine from floor-to-ceiling windows...

Our room was very clean, large and modern. There is a garage for bicycles to safely store your bike overnight. The hotel is close to the train station. The breakfast was decent, but you cannot use the coffee machine yourself and the coffee was watered down.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful, efficient and flexible staff. We stayed over night here with our two cats on our way from France to Denmark and the staff went out of their way to make it easy for us. Comfortable beds too.

The hotel is very clean and the staff nice and always willing to help you. Their parking spot was very crowded but they took your car to the parking place a couple of streets away and they bring it back when you requested. The only minus is that they don't have a mini fridge in the room.

We had an amazing stay at the Brenner. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating and made you feel like a valued guest. The room itself was far beyond what I could have imagined. Spacious, modern, well-maintained with a huge bathroom and a balcony looking out to Rizzastraße. The hotel itself is a few minutes walk from the train station, and the team at the Brenner are more than happy to recommend...

Very clean and quiet. Staff pleasant and helpful. Quiet garden for morning coffee or afternoon wine! Breakfast fresh and plentiful. 10min walk from rail station and about the same from old town. Plenty of squares, bars cafes etc.

Wonderful family run hotel and restaurant. Stayed here 3 nights. Had lovely spacious room on 2nd floor overlooking the river. (Ask for room #1.)Delicious German buffet breakfast included. Also recommend trying their dinners. Had schnitzel with salad plus apple strudel. All fine just right at a reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed one night with my family in Hotel Kreuter. The hotel has parking space (in front of the hotel on the other side of the road), serves a very good breakfast and the personnel is very friendly. The rooms, although with a slightly outdated style, are spatious and comfortable. Only drawback during our stay is that the railroad bridge over the river is being worked on currently, and we did experience...

The food was great. We enjoyed it. We also spend already 1/3 nights here and we enjoyed the view on the Mosel already. Also you can sit on the terasse and drink a wine.

Here, too, we have slept well, the pleasures enjoyed on the beautiful terrace football looked. And we do it again.. EM 2016, ITA vs ESP We are looking forward to soon.

"Bock" is now called Ariston and is a Greek restaurant. The reception was friendly and accommodating. The food was brought out relatively quickly and very good. In terms of price, it is a bit higher than the other Greeks in our corner, but absolutely within the framework in terms of performance. We would love to come back.

Now it's called Hotel Ariston! Very good restaurant, good breakfast. The rooms were clean and in order, no minibar available but a matter of taste;). Staff was friendly and courteous. Public parking spaces (free on weekends) in front of the house, close to the center.

In new hands for a few weeks (Greek cuisine). Same owner as the Syrtaki in Koblenz, and just as good, or even better, because when the weather is nice you sit better in the garden than in Koblenz on the street. The quality of the food and the staff are just as good as in Koblenz

This place have a big potential

Good hotel, with simple but clean rooms. Breakfast was ok, dinner was great. As I heard, however, we were the last guests, as the hotel was sold on 01/01/2020. I cannot say what will become of it.

New, very good service. Attaches importance to improvement and speaks to the guest about this. Pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant / bar with appealing music.

So far we have been there twice: Dinner with 4 people - everyone was very satisfied with the food and drinks. Breakfast with 2 people - we had a very rich breakfast / brunch, designated for 2 - 3 people at a price of 29.90 € plus drinks. Very nicely presented! The eye eats too ;-) A fourth person would have been fed up with it, but there were only two of us. Perhaps this breakfast should be reduced...

The quality of the food was very good and it tasted delicious. The waiting time and for food and drinks was unfortunately a little longer due to the lack of staff, but this was made up for by the extreme friendliness. Overall, the stay was very pleasant and we look forward to seeing you again.

Thank you very much, A wonderful accommodation that had gotten old awaited us. We slept well. I hope that many guests will come and that this hotel will survive a bit.

It's ok for one night, unfortunately we didn't have a TV in the room and the water pressure (warm water) in the shower was hardly available... Room furnishings weren't the newest but ok. Landlady and staff were very polite.

It was definitely a room. Very basic. Parking is very limited, and it is hard to drive to. I had to park a ways away and pay for it. The breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about.

Nice hotel, located at the heart of the city. Walkable from the cable car and water front. Staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. One thing to note is that there was no coffee machine or kettle in the room, which would have been better. Parking was available at a charge. There are good options to charge your car.

Room 415 was great. Clean enough, interior spacing, air cooler functional and works in keeping the room cool during warmer days.

Seamless check-in. Polite and courteous staff. Lovely comfortable room. Loved the multiple pillows and great shower. Parking is very limited though we were directed to a place not too far from the hotel.

Amazing place with great food and a relaxing spa area. Despite some surprisingly early unannounced window cleaning and some hiccups with service in their restaurant we had a very enjoyable stay and would visit again.

Gorgeous location coupled with beautiful rooms would have been enough. Throw in the incredible restaurant on site coupled with an aperitif on the outdoor terrace overlooking the water. Absolutely stunning, can’t wait to return.

Great hotel at a great location. We spent a night there and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Clean rooms with a comfortable bed (bigger than usual). The view from the room on the river is fantastic (see picture). Strong recommendation!

If you are interested in an 8km walk or run then you are directly next to the water and can walk or run along the river path to the railway bridge (about 3 km from the hotel) and then cross over onto the other side of the river and head back on the other side for 3km then back over on the road bridge which brings you directly back to the Hotel. (About 8 km total distance...

Your standard Mercure experience. Clean rooms and they were quiet as well. The location was very average and the elevators do not work well making some folks nervous. Great views of the river and city from the rooms depending on which side you are on.

This hotel is prime location and the service was good. It's just the blinds didn't shut all the way on the main road and the curtains don't cover the window. The windows let in tons of noise. And the beds were lumpy and soft. Nothing to take from the associates or good location and price; just not comfortable at all in my opinion.

Lovely hotel in a very walkable part of town. We arrived early and we weren't able to check into our room right away, but they held our many bags for us while we walked around town.

The most important thing for me in a hotel is noise insulation as you cannot rest well if there is noise, and, unfortunately, this hotel does not excel in that. The doors are very thin and creaky, you can hear every other door being opened. The room was OK, but the bathroom was quite dated. I also really dislike the choice to put the soap and shower gel in these plastic bottles that you have to squeeze...

It was good. I recommend it to anyone who is considering staying here.

Second time staying here. As of today, buffet breakfast is open. Let them know of dietary restriction (gluten free) and they ordered GF bread for us. Hotel and restaurant staff very welcoming. Hotel was clean. Our stay was great!

Quite impressed with this place. Staff were friendly and helpful allowing us to stow bags before our check in. Our room was very roomy..the shower was huge and the water pressure was great. Rooms were tidy and not rundown. I would go back.

A family-run hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet (a real cook making omelettes for guests). Old-fashioned in the positive sense. Good parking, a little walk over the Rhine bridge to the city centre. Friendly staff.

Overall good value for money and great location, we were able to walk to most places and easily take any transportation when needed. Place is clean and staff is helpful. My only issue was the very slow internet.

Small but clean and okay rooms. Definitely not enough outlets (1 bath, 1 middle of the room, not even bedside) and hotel wifi wasn't usable at all for 2 weeks! You can't offer something like that

Nice and tidy place. Beds are a bit firm. The personally is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast at € 7,50 is definitely worth it. Only real drawback is that they advertise being air-conditioned, but in reality the air-conditioning was shut off remotely which made the room quite warm. Opening a window wasn't a possible solution due to the nearby train track.

The rooms were tidy and clean. It was a small room but comparatively cheap. The electronic check-in and check-out was really comfortable. Would visit it again and recommend friends to stay in a b&b if they travel a lot.

For two stars it is absolutely reasonable. Breakfast is 7,5€ a bit small, there's a Buffet for 10€ in the city. Staff friendly and fast.
