Simple and clean hotel with sufficiently spacious rooms, varied breakfast buffet with sweet, savory, fruit and hot and cold drinks. Only the bathroom - at least for our room, number 10 - was tiny, with shower, sink and toilet. With its stairs - not having seen elevators - not suitable for people with mobility problems. We were welcomed by two elderly and kind ladies who gave us a lot of useful information...

Quiet hotel, in a super central location, the room decor is a bit old-fashioned but the bathroom shows that it has been recently refurbished. Negative note, there is no lift, the reception is on the first floor and the rooms on the third and fourth. Typical German breakfast. Good value for money.

We had the room no 15 which is facing the main road (so so close) so basically extremely loud at night. Especially weekends! U need earbuds if u had to sleep facing the main road. But the location is so so great, just next to the Lago Mall and restaurants etc. The breakfast in this hotel was great. And the service was friendly. Overall just nice. Very nice place to stay with its European charm! I was reminded of my Oma & Opa,and what it might of been like when they lived in Germany back before WW2. Good location in a beautiful historic building. The breakfast was very good and we sleep well. They give you a transport card that we loved it and is very useful.

The location was excellent, right in the beautiful historic district of Konstanz. The hotel itself was quite beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful, especially Beta at the front desk. I was on a solo bike trip, and there was a convenient place to store my bike right there on the first floor. The breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were reasonably priced. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location and great breakfast. Great historic building and clean rooms. In summer, the lack of air conditioning is a challenge; we'd still be happy to come back.

We arrived 25 minutes before check-in and we have benn told straight that we were way too early, not too welcoming. We were clearly disturbing the lady who said that she was working (doing some paperwork). Also, not air conditioning, slept with windows open on a very busy street, with church ringing hours nearby.

The room’s isolation was poor; I couldn’t sleep all night because of the noise coming from outside, the corridors, and the lift.

The hostel has 2 room areas, one in a tower and the other one on the ground floor. The tower has a lot of stairs and no elevator, and although the views are amazing so be careful when you reserve if you don't want to carry all you luggage up and down. The food is ok. The room was small, oddly laid out, and had two doors leading outside, which didn't feel very safe. The hygiene in the room is average. The breakfast was also average and the coffee was terrible.

Cheap, clean, good. The only problem is that they dont have room with 2 separate beds for 2 people.

The room (303) was just perfect. It was spacious, the toilet was big, with a huge window for very good ventilation. The only knock was the small/inconvenient shower. I would have loved to give the place a 4 star rating, but i can't rate the hotel on just it's breakfast. Fabulous location right next to the station. Staff were very helpful. Good rooms but they did get quite hot even though they provided a fan. Breakfast was served on the second floor and good. There are stairs into the building and up to the lift.

This is our first time at Lake Constance and we chose this hotel by chance. The rooms are very modern and clean. You sleep very well there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A big plus is the very good breakfast. Even better is the dinner in the restaurant as part of our half board. We can eat ala carte every evening. Very tasty. We will definitely come back again.

Travelled to Dettingen/Konstanz for a friends wedding. The room was HOT but comfortable enough. Breakfast was reasonable with a cold buffet served in the morning, though not particularly cheap. There isn't a great deal of choice in the local area but for a small town the hotel was good.

The accommodation here is simple and very clean. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant food is really excellent. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast and excellent dinners. It’s also very well located very near the ferry, lake and bus into town. It’s in walking distance to a fantastic thermal pool and spa. We enjoyed our stay very much.

If you want to spoil yourself, you should check out Hotel Halm, it is gorgeous. The hotel has been around since 1878 and has been very well maintained. The rooms are large, ceilings high and beds comfy. Service was exceptional, and the breakfast buffet was amazing.

Rooms are noisy and warm. No airco and that’s pretty necessary when you visit this place in summer. My bed felt like a pool in the middle of the night. Also had to remove a couple of cobwebs. A standard hotel with good value for money. Far from the city center, and check-in is complicated after 10 p.m. because the reception is closed. The reservation number I had didn't work. There's an emergency number you have to call to get a new one.

It took around 20-30 minutes to arrive at the hotel from the train station by taking bus 6. The hotel is comfortable and affordable if you're on a budget or just stay for a night. They offer breakfast, the bus station is near, supermarket like norma and Kaufland is abt 300 meters from the hotel, and you also have McDonald's and burger king just near it.

The room is a standard chain hotel. As a hotel for independent travelers, the area is large enough and worth recommending. The location is also quiet in a bustling city, and there is a supermarket nearby, which is worth recommending.

The hardware is a bit old, with only reception service at the front desk (pay the card directly when checking out). Breakfast is extra, and the price/performance ratio is not high.
