After a week of eating at various places while on vacation this was actually the best meal we had hands down. Really great beer selection but honestly they had me at the food options. Arrived at the hotel early evening and the service wasn't great. The receptionists seemed on edge. The room was spacious, however it wasn't as clean as I'd expect. There were hairs on the bathroom floor, on the bed and the bathroom had a strange odour. The breakfast however was lovely. They had a good selection of foods.

Our reception was very friendly, and even though we arrived late after reception closed, the manager greeted us personally. The staff was also extremely friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. We can only praise and recommend the Hotel Post Murnau. A truly excellent choice with excellent service.

Not a bad hotel, nice rooms with good showers, also nice and helpful staff. There are a few disadvantages, the parking is limited, and we didn't think the breakfast was great. Breakfast has enough choice, but the rolls are dry and the range of rolls is limited, you get a pot of coffee at the table, but the coffee was unfortunately much too weak! All in all not a topper, but of course it is only 3 stars...

An absolutely beautiful small hotel packed with history and interesting features. Friendly and really helpful staff. Rooms are lovely, bed very comfortable and the cleaning excellent. Your room is always cleaned early so you can come back to it at any time. Breakfast choice good with personal table service for coffee and eggs.

We spent 3 days at the traditional Hotel Post in Murnau in August 2024. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with a large selection, fresh fruit, and always an egg dish to choose from. There were also two fresh cappuccinos every day. Unfortunately, the rooms are very warm, as there are no fans or air conditioning.

I just want to offer praise where it is deserved. I stayed only one night, but should I have need I will choose to stay here again. Great staff, delicious breakfast and right in the middle of town. And all this for a very reasonable price!

Wonderful stay with friendly and helpful staff, quiet location with mountain view right across the street. Sauna available from 3-8pm is a treat after a day in the outdoors. We stayed at this hotel for 8 days. The service was very good, the breakfast excellent. The room was of a good standard, as was the bathroom, if a little on the small side. The location in the village is very quiet and only a few hundred meters from the "center". We will be back, especially because of the rich and high quality breakfast.

A very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, relatively spacious rooms, good breakfast. Only disappointment was dinner. We were on a package for the Passionspeil and dinner the night before was a set menu that was the worst meal we’ve ever had in a hotel! Cooked hours before and inedible.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed some spa and wellness. The wellness area is beautiful and I felt very comfortable there. The massage at the hotel was excellent and super relaxing. You really felt very comfortable in the Alpenpark. The location is perfect; You can walk to the Kochelsee and after a short drive to the Walchensee. The view of the mountains is fantastic! Probably the network and the WLAN are not working properly, but that is not a problem at all, since you are on the road all day anyway!

Spacious and clean apartment that was nicely decorated. We didn't use the breakfast, but instead the bread service, which came on time every morning. A very nice host who also places special emphasis on hygiene in Corona times. The only minor criticism: there is no possibility to darken in the bedroom. The curtains barely stop the light and things like salt, sugar, pepper would be nice :)

This is a great Hotel to stay if you want to explore the region of the Ammergau Alps. The service at the hotel is impeccable and the people of the region are very friendly to tourists. This is a quaint hotel right in front of the mountain "Hörnle" - a great area to Ski and sleigh ride. Perfect location to enjoy this amazing Bavarian village. Rooms were very modern and better than in the picture. Free parking at the hotel and lovely staff. We would definitelly stay there again

Great location if you want to experience a quaint Bavarian Village. The room was comfortable with windows that open to let in the cool mountain air. Breakfast options were wonderful. The hotel is located in a walkable village with lots of route options.

Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Restaurant was warm and cosy, and the food was delicious. Our waitress Carina was superb! Her assistant Mandy was also terrific. Both were friendly, attentive and funny. Best dining experience.

We liked the most the warm welcome , our room so large and comfortable and the breakfast . Oberammergau is very nice town in a good position to visit all Ludwig II residences and Ettal Abbey . The hotel is in central position with free parking in front ( the parking pass is kindly offered ) and if you want to explore the town you can easily walk around .

Fantastic hotel, easy parking and large spaces. They had a wonderful breakfast and a fresh pot of coffee at our breakfast table every morning. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Hotel Maximilian was quite enchanting. The location is ideal since it sits in the heart of the village where you can find unique shops, restaurants and a beautiful cemetery with interesting headstones of past generations. The hotels decor was unique and tastefully done. The room was incredibly comfortable and clean. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Notably, the breakfast was exceptional.
