Super 8 by Wyndham Oberhausen am Centro

Unfortunately, during our first visit to this hotel, we filed a complaint with the manager due to the poor behavior of the receptionist. The manager’s treatment of Klein was worse than the employee himself, and her style was provocative. She said, “I do not want to hear any complaint from you,” and I will stand with her. She was right or wrong, and I told her, “I will write this in the comments.” She said. I am happy to file a complaint with the hotel management.
I do not recommend this hotel, it is far from services and requires a car

I have to changed three rooms for non-working heating system and no body help from reception. Phones in rooms not working. And 7/24 reception service is a big lie for customers. I asked manager of hotel “blonde ladies” said she is ill. It’s 22 th of January in Germany and heating system is not working! Tomorrow and coming three days are very important fair days for me and I couldn’t rest yet! There is no solution and no apologies from anyone!

After arrival we have received an occupied room. Fortunatelly noone was inside. In our bathroom one of the lights was not working and another was constantly blinking. Toilet seat was also broken - only partially attached to the toilet. After reporting it to the staff, the issues were not fixed and repeated itself. The idea of making a glass walls and door in the bathroom is also a mistake - you wake up the second person in the room when you switch on the (blikning) lights. Breakfast not worth 15EUR/person.

Luckily we only spent one night here, but it was pretty bad.

The location is good, but that's about it.
The beds were uncomfortable. There were tiny bugs all over the room, especially in the bathroom. And our window was broken at the top and we couldn't close it all night, which made it noisy in the bedroom.
The hotel is pretty noisy in general and you can hear everything going on outside of your room.
All in all definitely won't book this again.

This was my worst experience ever at a hotel and I have travelled to more than 10 countries in Europe and been in dozens of Hotel and hostels, the service at super 8 is the worst by a million miles.

The only positive is the location and the rooms, they are good but the service is terrible. First they gave us the key to another guest room, my wife actually walked into the room of a male occupant with his private items in the room , imagen the shock and fear on her in that moment, she ran to me in the lobby. Imagine he was in the room or he was a afraid and reacted violently. The receptionist barely apologized and gave us another room.

When we checked out, I later realised they charged an extra room on my account, a day after we checked-in. They even invoiced me the other room they had billed on my card. I had to push back via numerous calls and email communication to even get them to look into this

It took the Hotel more than a week to sort this out and another week to refund the money. My conclusion is that there is many hotels in the areas with good prices and good location, I personally will never go to super 8 and would simply never recommend this hotel, for the sake of your safety and sanity.

Never again
